Hi Carl (did your user name not use to be Conncl or something like that) the light was given the Oven treatment to soften the bonding agent and then split thereafter, i tried to refurb the chrome rings but failed to bought a new light, the light still goes back together again and with some more bonding agent will seal into its original position. Hope this helps

The UK dust covers will fit with the J-spec brakes and will be cool if you should decide to upgrade the calipers at a later date.

If your budget allows buddy then i would definately recommed CW's fast road pads all round, matched with braided lines and some decent Dot 5.1 should see a transformation to the J-Specs. I have a set of Grooved rear disc's and EBC yellow stuff pads lying here, but i bought another TT at Christmas time and the rears need replacing, otherwise i would have offered them to you.

CW usually has decent disc's lying around, maybe give him a tinkle.

If you added 4k to the budget, would you not be able to find a Single'd 6-speed?

My battery was also brand new, but i did not realise that there was a drain on the system somewhere and it caused the new battery to lose its held charge. Does it want to almost cut out when stopping at traffic lights?

Tony i had the same problem and i tried cleaning the ICV, my issue lay with a slowly dieing battery. Maybe give it a bit of juice over night and reconnect the battery to see if there is any change.
