  2. Would have been nice for someone wanting to NA-TT. You could probably break the car and make your £1300 back afterwards.
  3. I've also got to make this decision and my supes white also. I painted them red a few weeks back but i dont like the look. Might be because of my alloys though. Halfrauds do a copper colour Hamerite that might look good?
  4. Year before last i was driving to Suprapod when my Evo started pulling to the right. I pulled over and suspected my caliper was sticking. I put my finger through the spokes onto the disc to check if it was warm. The disc was so hot my finger instantly welded itself to the disc, as i pulled it free i had a nce big red sore where my skin used to be. I had to drive the rest of the way to Pod with my finger against the cold window as it was bloody sore lol.
  5. Is the boostlogic the loudest on the market then Jamesy? I've got a Do-Luck exhaust on mine with a 5" exit and its not particulary loud, might change it in the future for something a little more "agressive"
  6. Its rediculous this hasnt sold at the price you have it at now, its got to be worth a good 2k more than the asking price. Fantastic looking car, fantasic price IMO.
  7. Just had a look at those on ebay Not sure if it would be too much hassle though. What sort of power is he hoping to get from them? 80-90bhp would be nice for me
  8. Yeah they did Abz as it happened at Great Yarmouth. Alot of engines were ruined before they managed to trace it back to Tesco. It was a good few years ago now, luckily i hadnt been filling up there...although i was driving a banged up clio that i bought for £400 at the time so it wouldnt have been the end of the world lol. I'm not sure where they get they're fuel from, they are 100% not in the drilling industry.
  9. With a bike engine I dont really want to spend a fortune on it just yet tbh, i have to finish the Supra before i start on the Mini, and i'm starting with the interior as its seen better days. Just a carb that doesnt need to much work, maybe as a kit with manifold etc but nothing thats going to need much in the way of fabrication. Thats what i'm after. Something for under £500
  10. We left about half 9 dude. We were talking about changing my Do-Luck rear for a trial rear when i first got my car, i only decided to go back to stock a couple of months ago cos one came up in 040 white for really cheap.I wanted to keep costs down when it went into the bodyshop. I wont be getting a Trial rear anytime soon mate, ive spent enough as it is. Definately want a low spoiler though. If you fit the Trial relatively soon then i'll take your stock one, otherwise i'll have mine repsprayed.
  11. Good call Wez, i had a brief chat with him at Pod about his mini past. Ive got to take the Supe up to him this trip home to get my TRD dials swapped out and Gearbox bushes in so i will have a chat with him at the same time:)
  12. We leave around 9-09:30 anyway Arin so you wont miss anything
  13. This thread deserves a BUMP, i have been crying with laughter for the last 20 minutes. Absolute classics. I have one to add, i took my mini into the Garage a couple of weeks ago as the bolt that holds the engine stabilizer had sheered off inside the head and i needed it drilling it out. I popped the bonnet and pointed out the said bolt (or lack of should i say) to the mechanic when the heavens opened and it started bucketing down. I dropped the bonnet down and we both legged it inside to talk time frames and cost. After a quick chat i bolted across the car park and jumped back in my mini, forgetting that hadnt closed my bonnet. Round the corner i start to accelerate and suddenly all i can see is a lovely BRG bonnet instead of the road. It took most of the paint off below the windscreen and bent the bonnet hinges good and proper. The worst part was i had to force it closed so i could get home, the noise of metal on metal sraping together on my pride and joy was unbearable
  14. I have a 1990 1275cc Mini Cooper that i bought off Casey on the forum. I had some running issues and eventually traced it back to a cracked Carburettor so i'm going to replace it. My Q is, which do i go for, there's so many to choose from and i no nothing about Carbs. I'm not doing anything to the engine (overboreing etc) as its my daily driver which rules out race carbs/twin carbs. I'm just looking for something that will bolt straight on and will give me as good an improvement in performance as reasonably practicle, its pretty woeful at the minute. Any suggestions? Thanks
  15. 30th it is then. Tasha has that day off so i'll drag her along. I'll let Rowe know
  16. Are you spraying it in that garage? Please say your tidying it first lol.
  17. I can either do the 30th or the 6th.
  18. A location might help.... or a better description.
  19. More pics of the wheels please mate, front and back, especially the dish. What brand tyres do you have on them fella.
  20. Here's the link to the East Section mate where us East Anglians organise meets etc http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?89-England-East The Great Yarmouth thread is at the top of the list
  21. When you say flat, are you referring to rubbing it down with high grit finishing paper ie 2000+? Sounds weird when you think about getting a good finish by rubbing sandpaper on paint lol. In for the the finished pics
  22. You dont contract Aids, you contract HIV which leads to AIDS once HIV has broken down immuno response enough to leave you open to contracting oppertunistic infections. As Al Massey said, although HIV is present in Saliva, the concentration is extremly low and it would be very very difficult for the virus to successfull infect a host at such low levels. Just so you know
  23. He doesnt sound very condfident with them tbh. I would be very surprised if they did fit, or were decent quality tbh. I got some replica OEMs not so long ago of Ebay, the fitment was "okay", not great, but the quality was poor. If you held them up to the light you could see through them where there wasnt anywhere near enough fibreglass layers.
