Seems to depend on the tester and car really I suppose..I had a fair few dealings with them myself my daily a Nissan march not a shock kind in the car sailed through and my previous car dc5 failed on handbrake 3 times after replacing callipers cables and everything same tester the 3 times 4th time different tester flew through with compliments

Hi folks I bought my supra with the first decat already done and was wondering will the emissions be low enough with just the second cat in place or will I need to purchase a second hand first again? May be better suited for irish members I'm unsure if emissions are the same for the UK mot as opposed to irish nct

Hi folks what exactly is needed when swapping from w58-v160/V161 is it just as simple as swapping clutch box and prop or is there other smaller bits needed? I've searched for this swap but can't seem to find the answer

Sorry if this is a really stupid question but is it possible to build a w58 with better internals or with cost involved are you better off just going with a v160 just want to know is it even possible?

Done the paper clip method and got error code 42 speed sensor would this be triggered but my car exceeding the factory jdm restrictor? Also would it show symptoms in the original post?

Hi folks I have a 95 tt w58,after a top speed run on the local runway,my engine check light came on but went off about 10 seconds after,and the car just doesn't seem to be running right since,I have my full power but the car sounds somewhat strange on idle,when I start the car is seems like it's starting quicker than normal also and sounds like there's a slight rattle coming from the exhaust I've also noticed it's a bit smokey when I rev it not a major excess of smoke but it is noticeable? Could my j-spec turbos be on there way out? What I've never noticed before is slight oil deposits on my air intake pipe coming from my ssqv? Can anyone shed me some light..my oil pressure and water temp is all perfect also

Graham from Sligo na-tt conversion nearly full bpu and ready to explode the w58 for the excuse of an upgrade to most likely r154 or if funds allow v160

I'd be on for this my car will be back ready for road in April of next year after winter refurbing and bundoran is only up the road from me in sligo

Funny that you mention this, mine at times almost has like a lagging effect when planted,i thought maybe a boost leak and checked all pipes and were perfect,so hopefully it solves my problem,already got a pm about manual ecus from another member thanks again folks great help
