  1. a bit of a update for you guys, has been a while since i have done one so here we go. suspension back in all checked ,painted ect, the thick black cable in this pic is the new battery lead before it was routed. and have the engine back in with greddy type plenum fitted and fuse box moved radiator in and oil cooler and getting some of the new turbo pipe work done have started to make up the boost pipes for the turbos and should have them finished tomorrow and will get some pics of them up when they are done.
  2. the celica is up for mot on sat morning so i wont make the start of the meet but what time will you think that yous will be at portrush i could meet up with yous there.
  3. i might meet up with yous in the gt4 if is ok. I know its not a supra but it is her little sister and it does have a big boot spoiler;)
  4. It was originally planned to have her done for this summer but now with me doing everything and not just the engine the plan is for her to be ready for next summer.
  5. Dropped the front suspension and cradle out of the car. was going to polybush the arms but when i checked them after i had everything took apart they are like new. When i bought the car it had almost full toyota service history so i'm thinking that the arms most have been replaced some time. Some of the suspension in bits. The missing bits are away getting bead blasted and painted and these parts will get done aswell. My brother doing it at his work and cant take everything at the one time:sly:
  6. wrapped the downpipes the other day and i bought this little tool for doing the SS cable ties. pulls the ties tight and then cuts them. downpipes done.
  7. Test fitted the remade down pipe which i'm very pleased the way it turned out. The thick peace of metal under the rear turbo is a spacer as i wanted to rise the turbo 1" for a bit more clearance from the strut mount. The one in the picture is only a rough guide as i'm getting a proper one cut tomorrow.
  8. got back my front down pipe today which i changed the routing of to give me some more clearance for the steering column.
  9. I'm using a OS giken triple plate and it needs 1jz bolts and you have to take about 8mm off the length or they will be hitting the rear crank seal, as for what material I don't know.
  10. not very much done over the weekend, got some bits cleaned ready to get chromed and fitted some nice new arp flywheel bolts which had to be cut to the right lenght:rolleyes:
  11. I think jamesy do-luck is using an auto diff but i dont know if its a 3.5 or 3.7 ratio you could ask him what he thinks. I worked it out with the gear/diff ratio and tyre size calculator and the car will still do over 180 with a std rpm limiter, but in the end if i dont like it, its not hard to change.
  12. Uk spec auto converted to 6 speed but going to keep the UK big 3.5 auto diff for faster acceleration
  13. a few of the new bits sitting at the house waiting to get fitted
  14. Cheers mate. No real goals as such but anything over 600 would be nice
  15. cheers guys, waiting on my stainless steel man now to sort out a few things for me as in the screamer pipe, hard pipe oil drain for one of the turbos and had to change the down pipe for the front turbo as it was to close to the steering column for my liking.
  16. all painted up now and for the first time matching the same colour as the rest of the car and not that matt finish that toyota likes to leave under the bonnet. bulkhead sound deading dumped and non-abs master cylinder fitted with proper non-abs brake pipes for the engine bay. have got a little over spray on the cross member but i'm dropping it out to poly bush everything and paint the arm so will get it cleaned up then.
  17. stripped out the engine bay and undercoated it.
  18. Don't know about the sub frames but I think the tank is 10 ltrs bigger as for the fuel gauge it should be ok
  19. did you see this one for sale in japan top secret wide body single turbo http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU1621734252/index.html?TRCD=200002
  20. Well its been a while since i put on a up dates and between losing my job and very sadly losing my dad to cancer my build came to a stop and was nearly put up for sale, but back in full time work now again it being the first anniversary of my dad passing next week i have decided to get the finger out and get the supra finished as my old man was a real petrol head and used to always complain to me about the good car in bits. So here we go, was never really happy with the way the engine bay looked, so i wanted to change a few things with the engine so pull it out and decided to do a hodge on her with a wire tuck and gave the abs and the aircon a new home in my bin:wave: booster pump for the abs gone The sound padding on the bulkhead is going to and the engine bay is gonna get painted. cut the abs and track relay box out of the loom and the main cable from the alternator is going to be run under the inner wing battery is going in the boot "greddy style intake now" and so on. quick question to members who have removed the air con what did you do about the bit through the bulkhead? leave it or remove it from the heater inside the car and plate up the hole ?
  21. i really like the Year One Burt Reynolds Edition Trans Am
