  1. just for reference, you did post; How did you check? did you open the bonnet and go "uhh yeah its okay"? Sounds to me like Cambelt might have slipped or even snapped very lucky if it it just the crank sensor..
  2. I had a cracked alloy once, i got it repaired by two differernt places. Hit a pot hole and it will just crack again, not worth it imo.
  3. Crank Pulley failure? Cambelt skipped teeth? Are you getting fuel, Spark? Give us some more info
  4. I be happy with £180 tbh, Id pay that, considering the garage isnt making a profit on all the parts.
  5. Are you happy to pay that price?
  6. Ive only sat in two supras that havent squeeked when operating the clutch. Cant you just embrace the squeek and just learn to love your car instead?
  7. The smell during the winter will be the least of your worries. You wont be able to see out of the windscreen
  8. Saw a BMW 6 series in liverpool the other week, parked next to it at the lights. Orange Peel all down the rear quarter, very odd I thought.
  9. Id also be up for this, as mentioned - someone needs to organise it properly and well in advance.
  10. I have a set of perfectly new Falken 452's (less than 400 miles) rears in that exact size. PM me and ill dig them out the garage and confirm if you are interested
  11. I thought it was going to be a Hogan-esque joke, sick I know..
  12. Oh sorry, I have never done the hazard perception before you see - so I needed the DVD. It is no difference at all(as per the dvd), you just spot hazards. Only the questions on the first part of the test are differernt.
  13. Usually just over the £200 from Toyota, but there are traders who have them, but they are similar prices afaik, you may as well change the belt while you are there too. Oh and once fitted, why not pre-tipex it, and you can include it in your weekly checks - you are lucky in that it made a sound before flying off. Ps, dont drive the car.
  14. I got mine from tesco for about £8 quid.
  15. Yes, buy the DVD - you wont pass unless you buy the DVD and understand the scoring system, and how to "work" the system to get maximum points.
  16. In my old place we raced them little £20 RC helicopters around a circuit, that was fun. Jokes include filling pens with washing up liquid (for the pen biters) Fake emails Creating batch files that do crazy things on startup Loading backdoors (wormhole) onto peoples pc's so we can run 1000 calculators on someones pc from the other side of the office Locking the cleaners in the toilets and turning the lights off Making the best boiled meal you can from just a kettle. (Boiled potatos gammon and veg) was my best plugging mice and keyboards into the wrong computer.. .. Wow then there is the horrible stuff
  17. Every job I have had has just been a social event. I get on with everyone ive worked with. On the occasion people have taken a dislike to me within a work environment, they have still enjoyed the darker side of witty banter and practical jokes.
  18. Did you sign for them in good condition? As mentioned they had "some cardboard" on the exhaust side and were "wrapped in brown tape" It would have been pretty obvious they were in that state when parcel man handed them to you, more obvious than if they were in a box, imo. Edit: I just realised that you arranged your own shipping, Your pretty much screwed.
  19. People just dont use their brains anymore, there will be a car club for virtually every car you could mention, or at least an umbrella group. I mean, there is a Kia owners club!!
  20. Mine was actually a good fit, I wouldnt hesitate to get another one. (i got mine about 2 years ago) He does them without wings now too!
  21. It is not possible; I base this on evinX's post, and his loose grip on reality.
  22. I thought The Machinist was a very good film. I love Mel Gibson.
