It is a fairly new 300amp battery so there was plenty of power to start it, when i put my meter to ground and the live wire for the FCD as soon as i tried to start it the volts dropped to 0.

Sorry to bring back on old thread, but this has just cured the problem i was having with my FCD. I thought my Greddy FCD was broken so i bought a Turbosmart one from whiffin and i was having exactly the same problem, turns out the switched live i used from the stereo drops to 0v when the engine cranks. I have now changed this to the one on the ecu, and althought the voltage drops to about 9.6v it now starts as it should.

I bought myself a stun gun when i was in Bulgaria, the strange thing is i bought it from a toy shop! one side was full of kids toys and the other had knives stun guns ninja throwing stars etc lol. I bought one shaped like a torch so when it went through the scanner that is all they seen lol.

I have just got a turbosmart FCC from Whiffbitz as my old Greddy one died, does anyone know what the voltages should be set to for clamp and release? mine is a facelift with the ODB2 ECU. Thanks Jon

I was parked up by some garage on westgate road a few weeks ago, but wasn't me yesterday.

I liked the look of it with the led's and turn pots for easy adjustments.

I was given a greddy one from andrew on here but that died the other week. I have ordered a turbosmart one from whiffbitz on saturday, so i will see how that performs.

Thanks mate, it was listening to ians BMW that made me get these. Did you know that JL custom build the sub box for it, which cost £1000 alone!!

One sub sold, still have one more plus the amp. Am also considering selling my JL C5 Evolution components as well.

I am contracted to 40hrs a week but i am also on a salary, i am supposed to work from 9-5 but never do. Most times i work between 10-15hrs overtime a week and often leave the house at 04.00am to get to places for an 08.00 start. Whenever i get back to the factory early, i make sure all my paperwork and reports are done and just go home. My boss tries to say i don't finish till 17.00 and i just tell him i have done over my 40hrs! Getting really sick of working all this overtime for nothing considering they charge well over £70 an hour for me being on site, but in these times i also know i am lucky to have a safe job.

Looks stunning John, could you not make up your own loom? you have all the connectors, and there will be lots of stuff you don't need to wire back up anyway.
