In my experience, they're ok on anything non-performance orientated. On a Supra, that's about to go round the 'ring? Forget it. Seriously, splash out on some premium tyres.

More dividend focused holdings would be ideal really, the problem comes with the capital required to build up anything meaningful - I just don't have it!!

I've been playing for a few years now, overall I'm up a decent chunk. Did get very lucky with some small cap oil companies though. BPC, SOU, CAD all showing very good profits. Not as good as a couple of months back though. Commodities market is nasty at the moment.

In Supra terms, 500 isn't huge! 10k was the ballpark figure I had in mind. Think I'll stick to BPU for this summer and maybe consider it over the winter.

So what exactly is a tight budget for a single conversion? What's an approximate figure for how much it would cost to do a small single conversion, without cutting any corners? No huge power, say around 500bhp.

My technical knowledge is a bit limited, so this could be a bit of a beginner question, so bare with me! Just had the car back from AFR after having a detonation problem sorted. Drives lovely, no problems. When I left there, it was hitting 1.2 bar on high boost without any problem, but since then it's dropped back a bit to around 1 bar. Neither AFR or I have checked the exhaust system, but the previous owner was nice and vague and told me there was a restrictor ring for 'about 400 brake, so around 1.2'. Does the fact it's pulled back to 1 bar after being set to 1.2 using my Greddy boost controller indicate that it's probably got a 1 bar restrictor ring fitted? Thanks

Well, it was a nice Friday evening. There was a lovely grey Supra, and an average looking blue Focus, but to really top it all off, there was a bright yellow digger. Really made my day! BK had no ketchup though

You could ask someone like Paul at Whifbitz, or someone who sells the stuff, they should know.

It does sound like it gets scratched quite easily through normal use, so maybe look into some sort of coating for protection as well.

I thought this, but it appears Lexan is quite a bit stronger than glass. It's used on Astronaut helmets, industrial safety galsses, and some bulletproof glass. Everything I've read so far suggests the test is on visibility and whether it's damaged, but not the material itself.

Might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure windows and windscreen are not part of the MOT. Visibility is, as are sharp edges, but not actually having a glass window in place I don't think would be a failure. Looking at a guide on DirectGov, this is what it says about the windscreen... The windscreen Its condition and the driver’s view of the road Nothing on side windows, and nothing about it being glass. I’d go for it.

Welcome! Are you after an NA or TT, auto or manual? I've done a little driving in Europe, and RHD on right hand roads isn't a problem. There's quite a few European based members with RHD cars, I'm sure they'll be along shortly with some more experience.
