  1. Planes although not easy to fly are easier than helicopters. If you want to get into flying the proper outdoor helicopters I would recommend you join a club and start training on a buddy box using a proper heli, and plenty of simulator practice, Phoenix is the best for helicopters. Most of the cheaper helis are not really any fun to fly and really are just toys. I would recommend you getting into a club and flying with either a raptor 30/50 or a t rex 600, or if its electric you want the t rex 500 is perfect, it flys just as well as a raptor 50/t rex 600. If your planning on flying on your own in your garden then none of the above are suitable, anything other than a coaxial would be no good, a collective pitch helicopter would be a very bad move as you will destroy it straight away or hurt yourself. Trouble is a coaxial is to much like a toy and wont be impressive to watch or fly. I learnt on a raptor 30 and am glad I did it this way, I now own the entire Align t rex collection and various raptors.
  2. Ok thanks, I will have to get it booked in to the garage and sorted out. will it cause any damage if I use it before they are adjusted?
  3. Only revving to 8000 rpm, redline is 13500. It does sound cool yes, but I'm worried it shouldn't be doing it. Is it going to damage the engine like this? It is carbs not injection.
  4. I have no mechanical knowledge I'm affaid, so just fitted a scorpion race exhaust to my motorbike and when revving it is spitting out quite a lot of flames and pops. How would changing the exhaust can do this? It didn't do out before with the standard exhaust?
  5. http://www.metalbound.com/site/?p=512 We all know this is the type of "bench" you are looking for. Suitable for any sex den, sorry your calling it a garage!
  6. Nice, really like the gt 6. Had a couple of spitfires in the past.
  7. I agree about whiplash claims being refused unless you have torn cartilage. I had a nasty motorbike accident 12 years ago and tore the ligaments in my thoracic back. This was very painful and to this day gives me pain. I was assessed by a leading back expert at bupa and got a good payout. When I had a accident in the van I got a bit of whiplash, but it wasn't overly painful and I haven't and wouldn't claim for that, but to many people know they can claim for such an injury and can't be disproved, and they probably don't have any pain, the ones that do is probably just mild discomfort yet they get the same payout as I got when I had a genuine injury that will always affect me.
  8. neither was marc, he really ment he resprayed his car for £50. You obviously haven't seen the hamerite respray thread then.
  9. Ok no worries. You say he won't get them ready for a courier? but If a courier wasnt too expensive I would be happy to bring them back to mine and get them ready for a courier for you.
  10. I'm going near benfleet on thursday and friday, I could bring them to suffolk and ask my mate to take them to wrexham as he goes to visit his girlfriend at uni. Don't know if wrexham would be close enough?
  11. I use these tyres on my supra and think they are excellent. As said most local tyre companies will probably work out very similar for prices. my local tyre place worked out cheaper than camskill
  12. I brought these of blue angel last year for £70. When I got them one of the brackets was broken and one of the lens had come un stuck. He said he would change them but with all the trouble at the time with him not sending stuff out I didn't want to risk it. These do look good as he has used facelift lens and also clear indicators. one will need splitting to stick the lose lens back. Don't know what to charge for them so make an offer if your interested in them.
  13. Thanks for all of your inputs, I don't think any of the comments are harsh, they are constructive. I asked for opinions and got them. They are all very good points being made and I will pass them on to my brother so he can change it.
  14. As far as I know you don't need planning for anything under 32 square meters. And porches and garages don't need building regs either. That's how I have always under stood it anyway.
  15. My brother has built this for me, it is his first attempt at making a web site and I think he has done a cracking job. But as it is his first, have any of you got any recomendations to improve it? http://www.garage-doorman.co.uk
  16. It has a bit welded on for the centre stand to rest against so can only go the way it is.
  17. I ordered it all together, link pipe, can, and baffle. It was a seller on ebay who had it on display in his shop.
  18. Got a scorpion exhaust for my bike with the link pipe. One end sides over the header, its very tight but just goes. The other end fits over the silencer, but in doing so leaks, the silencer has slots on the end of the pipe as if it should go over the link pipe. Spoke to the shop I got it from and they say its right. I'm sure I'm being fobbed of. Can you guys shed any light on it for me please. Its the third picture I'm talking about, the other problem is the hanger in the first picture is way to big, again they say this is right
  19. I also noticed it has the arai venture shield fitted, worth another £35.
  20. Just been to pick it up. Must say the fit is exceptional compared to other lids I tried in the shop. The shop have said it hasn't been out on test and it doesn't have a mark on it so I'm sure it hasn't. So got myself the best lid on the market for under 300 pounds, well chuffed.
  21. They are underneath the laquer, so wouldn't come off without ruining it. Lovely bike that, and nice to have a lid that matches. I have just been knocked of to many times I want to stand out as much a possible. I just recieved my Weiss fluro jacket today and that is so bright It makes a lollypop lady look dull.
  22. Sure is a bargain for £299, they were £569.99 but they say they are going up to £700 for the replicas and around £600 for the flat colours. I actually think it looks really good in the yellow and the stickers dont look to silly. http://www.rocketclothing.co.uk/arai-ride-buy/info_104.html
  23. Looking into helmets for my motorbike and see the arai rx-7 gp is said to be the ultimate helmet available, with prices about to rise to £700. Now I have looked at the sharp site and it achived a 4 star rating, there are many other lids out there that have achieved either the same or better still a 5 star rating for much much less. I went to Orwell motorcycles and they said dont take to much notice of the sharp ratings as Arai's own test are far better. There was a scheme run by Arai called ride before you buy, the helmets were the rx7gp and the quantum. You could use the helmet for a day to see if you liked it then return and buy one if you wanted. The motorcycle shop are now selling the ride before you buy helmets off cheap as they are bright yellow and have ride before you buy on the front and back of the helmet. Doesn't bother me though as the medium they have hasn't been out on the road or tried on. I went in looking for a yellow helmet for good visibility and if this is the ultimate helmet then at the price they have offered it to me of £299 would be a massive bargain? Hopefully a few of you have experience with Arai, especially the RX7 GP.
