  1. I would stay away from any of the mercs, they all rust badly, especially the price range your looking for. They cost loads to do anything to and from my experience working for a business with 4 they are very unreliable and thirsty. Transit all the way for economy and reliability.
  2. if only you were into model planes and helicopters! could of had a deal. Had the cash but bought the fazer now.
  3. Shame this was unsuitable for a beginner, I would of had it, such a bargain. Brought a 600 fazer now.
  4. Had my first big bike delivered yesterday, after 12 years not riding after an accident. I got a 2002 yamaha fazer 600, in black. It has been dropped and has a few scratches but nothing major. Pics to follow Looking at helmets and my last one was an Arai that my dad brought me, can't remember but I'm sure he paid about £450 for it, I keep seeing lots of helmets for sub £100 that are still gold standard, now years ago the cheaper helmets wouldn't have had the gold rating on them so is a £70 Viper helmet that has the acu gold rating, going to be very different in terms of safety to something like a Arai, Shoei, shark etc?
  5. Give them a miss the, I don't take any chances where the family car is concerned
  6. Need some new tyres on the front of the picasso, I have goodyear gt3 currently on all corners but the garage can't get them anymore. They have recommended the prestivo as a very good tyre. Anyone got them or driven with them? What are they like?
  7. Great price that, I'm looking to get a bike next year but this would be to much for a first big bike I reckon.
  8. Doesn't even look close to being a 355.
  9. Yes looking at it again I didn't really make it that clear, my bad. Just so you have some kind of idea of a sws door to compare the ebay one to . The sws is 1403 plus vat, and I get 45% discount from the manufacturer so I would pay £925.98 that gives you some idea of what you would be getting at 700 fitted from them. I don't want to put them down because it will work and do what you want it to and if you only wanted it for a couple of years before say moving then it would be worth it. Thanks Martyn.
  10. Jamie, my price was 928.80 for a hormann retractable door, steel frame and hormann electric operator. Which is giving a massive 25% discount. As for the ebay roller doors they really are that cheap for a reason. I have truthfully removed quite a few that have been 1_2 years old and have broken. If you want a decent roller door look at the sws securoglide or the hormann rollmatic. Both will be around 1400 ish for the sizes you gave me. martyn.
  11. Another thing to do is buy a wheel clamp and leave your mobile number on it, that way they can't just move it while your out, , make them pay add much as the clamp cost before taking it of.
  12. No one can block you in your drive if you have a proper dropped curb, I would get a big vehicle if you can and drag it out the way, then when the owners return find out why they are such morons
  13. Thank You. I only Use Hormann and Sws doors. Assuming you mean a up and over retractable door, rather than a sectional or roller then the prices would be: Door - 578 +vat Steel frame if required - 98 +vat Electric operator complete- 356 +vat These are list prices but. I'm doing a 20% discount to keep my prices lower than anyone else in my area Fitting would depend on location but for a club member I would do a very good deal. including a further 5% off so 25% in total
  14. Don't how true it is but I have been told to setup a facebook page for my business and get as many people as possible to like it and share it as it's a great place to advertise Many many thanks Martyn. http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Garage-DoorMan/213370465400343
