  1. Cheers guys. Now for that result at SRR next week....
  2. Just got my car back from Lee's this afternoon. Lovely growling tone to it now...Had a new SRD chrome plenum fitted and a 4" HKS catback. That should sort it out now. Now booked into SRR 10th September for its remap. Can't wait...
  3. Lyndon - any time soon will be great! Cheers.
  4. Will give it a try. Checked Speedview and its not bad. But it saves the log data as a gpx file which you cannot view in the app. And I don't see the speed, g data there...
  5. If the Syvecs gets a bluetooth inteface that would be pretty cool...
  6. I'm looking for a good app for my Galaxy S3 that logs/graphs a track run. Don't need a video with it, just the telemetry (speed, g, position). I have tried speedlo99er but although this looks sexy the data is logged at a website not on your phone. Hmm..... Going to try another - Speedview. Anyone tried any others?
  7. Neat looking car. Anyone on the forum?
  8. As I'm moving house soon I need to clear out various Supra bits. Sensible offers please: Auto Transmission cooler with fan: £75 ono delivered AEM auto transmission fluid temperature digital gauge c/w diffrent face selection: £100 ono delivered Greddy Turbo Timer: £30 ono delivered And there's everyone's favourite - the spacesaver original Supra wheel and tyre! £ono...... Cheers.
  9. It's Springtime again...and I'm moving house so need to have a garage clearout. These wheels are now in need of a new home as I need the money (and space)!! Sensible offers please:OK: There'll be more bits posted as I work my way round the garage; set of stock TT turbos and piping (one turbo had an oil seep - so parts/refurb only). Autobox transmission cooler and AEM temp gauge, etc...I'll get pix up soon. Cheers.
  10. Yeah. Luc does it himself....Me, I like to sit back and get it done for me ;-)) Seriously, I don't understand why I can't push 800+hp through an (uprated e.g. ML Boostlogic) autobox. There's supercars around that's handle that - and I don't mean on a US 2 shift Powerglide either. How does a Lambo or a GTR or a Porsche handle that power? I know Jamesy has bailed out and going 6 shift manual. I will never say never in the pursuit of a nippy performance on Track or private road..... A big TB and plenum give the 'compressed' air someplace to vent in a balanced and efficient way into the engine. The bigger the boost the bigger the squeeze and restriction you are going to experience. Logically, you've got to vent that volume out as fast as you are pushing it in. So a big bore exhaust without any bends/cats in it is what's needed. And that's exactly what was observed at the Abbeywood Dyno runs...a bit of 'blowback' as the engine tried to do balloon impressions. So no point in running 1.9b as it's no good with my current setup. You can see my dyno numbers and the difference is not worth the engine stress :-( But next Spring - I hope to have the system setup to handle the next power level I'm after - 750-850 hp.
  11. Mark, as per my Dynapack post: At 1.2bar: Hub Torque total = 1694 = rhtq of 1694/3.77= 449ftlbs (DIN) Then the calculated rwhp is = 461hp (reduced by the drivetrain losses)** And the calculated fwhp (assuming 20% auto losses) = 553hp** At 1.9bar: Hub Torque total = 1990 = rhtq of 1990/3.77= 528ftlbs (DIN) Then the calculated rwhp is = 541hp (reduced by the drivetrain losses) And the calculated fwhp (assuming 20% auto losses) = 649hp
  12. Luc, the top priority is to remove the gas flow restrictions from the inlet side and the exhaust side. So a big plenum and TB and a 4" straight through exhaust are required. I might also consider a bigger turbo with 4" V band... Sent from my HTC Desire HD
  13. 5th Nov is bad for me Ryan.
  14. Ok. So I did have a few pulls on Abbey's Dynapack HUB Torque power setup - for diagnostic purposes - and got some results that were pretty close to SRR's results. But - and Mark G won't thank me here - he used the wrong final drive value of 4.181 (as he calibrated this from the analog rev dial not the Syvecs! And I've been discussing this with him and he's offered to do another set of runs). Hence the reason I've not posted the results graphs. However, when I use the accepted TT Auto value of 3.77 then I get the following results. Remember that this actually measures the transmitted hub torque from the engine through the torque converter, autobox and drivetrain... At 1.2bar: Hub Torque total = 1694 = rhtq of 1694/3.77= 449ftlbs (DIN) Then the calculated rwhp is = 461hp (reduced by the drivetrain losses)** And the calculated fwhp (assuming 20% auto losses) = 553hp** At 1.9bar: Hub Torque total = 1990 = rhtq of 1990/3.77= 528ftlbs (DIN) Then the calculated rwhp is = 541hp (reduced by the drivetrain losses)** And the calculated fwhp (assuming 20% auto losses) = 649hp** **NB: these calculations used the Syvecs rpm logs which measured around 500rpm lower than the Dynapack). In comparison, the SRR results I recently got running 1.9bar are: rwhp = 524hp fwhp = 618hp So these are comparable values given that I used 20% loss factor for autoboxes. If I use 18% then the hub dyno comes closer still to the SRR value which itself calculates the values. Bottom line: I'd love to shout about having a '650bhp' engine but actually the purpose was to identify where the power restrictions are; (i) exhaust system (ii) inlet manifold and TB and last but not least (iii) the turbo is maxed out.... Hope this helps.
  15. Paul, it's everything from the S366 exhaust outlet onwards that will need to be 4"...
  16. Yep. It's got an AFR sensor fitted on the downpipe. Is yours a straight pipe system?
  17. Rob, Here's my clip from SupraPod runing around 600bhp: And it is an auto...
  18. Ryan, what date(s) are you thinking of? Before end October would be great.
  19. What diameter is your system then? I do have a complete Apexi system but it a 3" ...
  20. Having had the car at Abbey Motorsports we found that there's a restriction in the exhaust flow - bigger the boost the worse it gets obviously. Hence I'm looking for a replacement for my 3" zig-zag Apexi and downpipe to a straight through 4" system. Thanks
  21. How about my Work Equips split rims 17" staggered. C/w Khumo tyres. Details in my for sale post in the forum. Quick search will get the post.
  22. Ryan, I'd be interested in learning about the data logging side, and tuning the Cal switch...where's it to be held - SRR?
  23. GlennK

    ....

Jamie, for sure...but I'll have to shoehorn in a S383 as well Do you take P/X?
