  1. Getting a bit of an issue (only sometimes) coming onto boost. Now I don't know if it's due to variance in my amount of applied throttle and the first turbo taking the time to spool through and then 2nd to do the same or not. Basically, sometimes it'll be totally fine and pull fully right through the rev range but, at other times, it seems to hesitate and stay at the same pace for a second or 2 then come in ultra harsh and launch something rotten! First port of call IS a problem - I don't have a boost gauge as yet so I don't know if it's spiking at these times or not. Spec is BPU with the exception of 1st decat. Got an Envy 1.2 restrictor ring, Blitz BOV, Greddy 2 row FMIC, FCD, SLD, not sure what plugs (told Iridium of sorts, will have to check with previous owner), RSR exhaust (also need to check through rest of the system as it may just be the backbox so don't know rest of the system + size etc.). Any help appreciated, had a quick search and saw a few different things but just checking
  2. Yeah, if you don't then I'm either working or asleep
  3. Haha that was me dude
  4. Thanks guys. Rick - yeah the drivers side light is covered in pee pee it would appear Gonna get some ScratchX on it then machine polish it and see if it helps. If not then a set of facelift jobs may be in order
  5. Yeah there are a few things I have planned
  6. After an 8 hour drive to Northampton I got to see and take out the Supra I had come down for, that which belonged to "Couvez" off the forum. Absolutely loved it and came to a deal and bought it off him - thank you very much again dude Headed back up to Derby and stayed at a Holiday Inn there before making the journey back up today (Monday). About 50% of the trip back was rain/pretty wet roads so I got used to taking it ultra easy all of the time! Enjoying it so so much! Having to be VERY careful as my previous (and only) car was a mk5 1.4 Golf with only 90bhp so it's a bit of getting used to! The Supra has sliiiiiiiiightly more Got a list of plans for it, just needing to get accustomed to not having 40mpg anymore before thinking about doing anything to the thing! Here's some pics of it anyway (sorry there are no to the point ones, wasn't me taking them as didn't have camera with me):- Cheers
  7. Thank you very much guys! The white looks EPIC!
  8. Just make sure to get an uprated clutch as already mentioned. Also maybe watch the fuel pump used, I've heard of underfuelling problems causing issues with some
  9. This thread just became serious business™!
  10. After the results you had with them, turnaround time and general customer service, I'd happily opt with them aswell. I will need my odometer sorted (it doesn't turn ) when it comes to getting the car.
  11. Lovely car dude! Don't know that I've seen it in person yet. Sure I will soon (either Scotland meet or DAT).
  12. I guess this could be geared more towards the Aberdeen lot (providing there is a local recommendation that is)... Picking up the car on Sunday and it has budget tyres on the rear. I'm not planning on them staying there very long so will need to get some new ones. Currently 255/35/18 at the rear and 235/35/18 on front. Will check the rim width to decide what tyre width to opt for (e.g. if better to go up to 265 or not) when I get the car back home. Just really wanting to know if there is somewhere good to get tyres from or just to look at the online usual suspects (blackcircles, camskill etc.). Thanks
  13. Could possibly have been. Not mine yet I suppose! Very nearly
  14. Waiting to be picked up on Sunday
  15. Could someone (pretty please ) change the wheels to a couple of different colours for me? White (match the car rather than snow white ) Steel 48 (picture below) Gold (I guess Subaru type STi gold be easiest) Bronze Here's the steel 48 (from my old Golf):- Mucho thanko
  16. I think the only thing that would permit a slightly larger than "usual" price tag would be the age (2000 is reasonably new still and not as common). My take is that with regards to kitting it out (Do-Luck in this case) that it is all money that is disappearing and you shouldn't get any extra back. Same with the interior and engine bling. Personal taste items (to me atleast) don't reward extra £££ in sale.
  17. Closest I have to this is seeing my bro's sons (my wee nephews) growing up. It's awesome!
  18. First of all, please refer to this thread in the "Scotland" section and you will understand what has prompted my action:- http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=192507 Due to the thread referenced above, I have started up a Social Group to keep the content within the "Scotland" section to Meets and Events (the purpose of the section). By using the Social Group, this will allow for all other Scotland based discussion - of your own choosing - to be put there. It will (hopefully! ) be widely used by the relevant people with the knowledge to answer any queries you may have e.g. "Where to service your Supra in the Glasgow area?" and so forth. As much as this question could be posed within the main forum, also utilizing this group to ask the question will help in the prevention of the thread disappearing into the depths of the forum in no time! Anyway, enough blabbering, here is the link to the Group:- http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?groupid=39 I also created a welcome post of sorts, detailing my intention somewhat similarly to this post. That may be found here:- http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=38 Hope it gets used well! Thanks, James
  19. As per the request of our Events Organiser, SteveR, I have set up this Social Group for the purpose of keeping discussions about anything somewhat more "local" for whatever reason as opposed to sharing them with the national sections within the main forum. It will also act as a database for recommendations as to places to go for parts, services etc. Despite - personally - using the main forum more frequently than checking the status of the Social Groups with which I am involved, this may prove beneficial in that any information shared within here is less likely to be lost amongst the sheer volume this forum receives in terms of content! Thanks for joining (as long as you have ) and I hope this is well utilized. Cheers folks. James
  20. I would like to do this ASAP now - get the car on Sunday and I'm being 100% selfish :p
