  1. Thanks Nic/Peter, mine is sorted now, had a read through some old posts and seen one on putting the O2 sensor in a lemon to draw out the crap, just done that overnight, blew it off with the compressor this morning, refitted and is now running sweet. I'm not entirely sure why an O2 sensor would cause a misfire though. Unless Nic is thinking of another group buy, I guess i'll be ringing toyota for a new sensor in the morning. The sun is out, not a cloud in the sky, i'll have my Sunday fry up then go for a spin
  2. Out of interest, have you got this sorted yet? I'm having a similar issue. I started my car up today after being garaged since October, i've serviced it over winter (plugs, coilpack clips, all fluids, filters, brakes, cambelt, auxiliary belt etc etc) tested it about 4 weeks ago and it ran perfectly. I have a spare set of coilpacks which i've swapped with the originals with no effect so that rules them out, i've cleaned the plugs (brand new but they were sooty) and cleaned the O2 sensor (about 3 years old), the car idles lumpy and misfires on boost. Drove it about 3 miles today and it doesn't improve I'm guessing it must be the igniter or an injector at this stage? Does anyone know why
  3. As above, plugs need to come out, clean them up and re-fit them a couple of hours later, give it a chance to dry out, jobs a good un
  4. Congratulations, that is fantastic, your attitude and spirit has been brilliant throughout this difficult time and you have got the news you most definitely deserved to hear
  5. Have you bought another supra Peter? not heard from you in months?
  6. I agree, I think they make it up from day to day to be honest, it seems to be luck of the draw when getting car insurance quotes.
  7. Just try nipping them up a bit first, I read somewhere that they have a habit of working loose over time (sometimes even finger tight) mine was weeping a bit so gave it a slight nip up and no more leak
  8. Sods law this group buy came along about 6 weeks after I've purchased a full set of discs and pads from Toyota whilst the car is off the road for winter
  9. You can't beat a garage, best thing we've done to our house so far is to build one, we actually bought our house because it had the room for one in the yard (I guess the wife knew it'll keep me quiet), 3 years later its up and in use
  10. Try Livingstone Warman, they seem to go right in with a low quote rather than d*cking about.

    New one

Welcome, loads of supra experts here, good luck with the project
  12. I agree with Ricky, it's a bad idea, it'll be cheaper to just buy a tt to start with I would imagine. Don't go from an MR 2 turbo to an N/A though, you'll more than likely be disappointed.
  13. Welcome back, all the best with your new business
  14. You don't happen to live near a chinese take away do you?
  15. As above, I bought this years ago but probably won't ever get round to fitting it so anyone prepared to give me £110 can have it (delivered to UK). Includes the wiring harness that'll need splicing in to the loom (see photo), theres loads of info on the site on how to wire it in. Info taken from Apexi site: Piggyback Fuel Computer Modifies air-flow meter signal (pressure signal in some vehicles) to optimize fuel-air ratio; Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD). The second-generation SAFC is a fuel computer that adjusts fuel/air ratio by modifying the air-flow meter/MAP sensor signal. The SAFC features a user-definable, eight-point, adjustable fuel curve that can be set in 500 RPM increments. The range of fuel adjustment is +/- 50% at each of the user-defined setting points. On hot-wire vehicles, the Deceleration Air Flow Correction function is capable of curing the erratic idle and stall problems associated with open-atmosphere blow-off valves on hot-wire air-flow meter systems. The SAFC is capable of monitoring and replaying the following data channels in Numerical, Analog Meter and Graph displays: Intake Manifold Vacuum/Boost Pressure, Air Flow Capacity, Intake Manifold Pressure, Karmann Frequency, Engine RPM, Throttle Position, and Air Flow Correction %.
  16. Really impressed with them, I could do with some for my facelift lights. Are there any issues with the aluminium getting those white crusty deposits on them? how would you prevent that from happening? do you laquer them or something? it must be annoying to have to split the lights to clean them up every year or so. Are you considering applying for hobbyist status then?, if so i'm interested in purchasing a set of these from you
  17. Welcome, nice car, my mate had a standard 07 reg one of those (sold it last month because he needed a van), it was a fun car, I used to have a swift gti about 10 years ago, i loved that car
  18. Thanks mate , £250 so a bit of a saving there, I didn't think of aviva. I've just paid for it now, i'm fed up of insurance quotes now lol. CJ, my quote from city insurance group wasn't all that good, didn't get to speak to Sally though but it was about £357 or something
  19. Just tried them, £481.06 what is going on with insurance companies these days, my first car only cost me £500 to insure 12 years ago
  20. This is going to be a hell of a supra. Some quality workmanship going into this
