  1. 1st and 3rd pics:thumbs: i know they was getting close officer...
  2. cannon fodder:d legend!....now on the phone:p
  3. theres always someone trying to get my pennies:( got a couple of questions:) 1 XP Home Edition, genuine with COA. - is that like the windows cd? 2 do you have a disk for it with all the drivers? i know the lenovo site has them all on but it can be a twat to get them off:( 3 where abouts on the screen is the dead pixel, id probably only use it for browsing and programming just as long as its not right in the middle:sly: i aught to not buy it but ive got 5 donor ibms here from privious hobbies:eyebrows:
  4. nice bargain you got there, love the wheels, dont like the multi-hole for the setup for the wheel nuts though:(
  5. sounds like its been either well built or its owner/builder can talk the talk;) 9k on any engine is quite an achievement, especial on a long stroker such as the 2JZ, and considering Toyota's rev limit 2k less, im not saying it cant be done, just i would not wined an engine up that far unles i know it will take it, with out seeking advise off another experienced 2jz engine builder you only can go on the current owner and builders words i am by noway an expert though, i have managed to blow up every engine i have built:( and the in the link the guy is banned and the pics dont work:p
  6. have you tryed jezz and keron ? i think they both break cars, maybe some others too btw top marks for loosing yours:D *runs out side to see if mine is still there:sly:*
  7. looks like a combination of loads of very short journeys and standing for awhile ("water emulsion" i think my dad called it), i always did an oil change but putting a gallon of Morrison finest(£5 a gallon) through the block and drain before the half de-cent stuff if theres not loads of water in the oil or oil in the water, your not loosing larger amounts of coolent & oil, spraying oil all over the engine bay and has a rock solid idle, the head gasket should be ok:D if it runs too hot check the radiator cap works properly and the water/ antifreeze mixture is correct, if its ageing flushing the radiator could give it a help too..(top and bottom pipes of and hosepipe in the top pipe until the water coming out he bottom is clear ) thats just a few tricks i had to use on le old mini;)
  8. maybe the car is bent and the bonnet is straight;) if its not very noticeable and still fits and closes ok, i would leave it a week or 2 and the heat cycles sould relax it, i had a fibreglass front end in storage for over 2 years, realy bent out of shape when i came to use it and i just 'streached' it and the heat sorted the rest, not promising though
  9. these should sell quick especialy down south and that price;)
  10. exactly, my mini could have kept up with the supe to around 60 so im not surprised if quite a fair few smaller sporty cars can however i have never been over 70-75mph;) so after that only the idiot is faster:d
  11. yeah should be similar feel but maybe different tension:)
  12. i was looking around for pics to be able to explain...and came across this thread..Click here problem number 4 number 12 in that pic is the waste gate actuator, behind that will be the waste gate valve and a connecting rod between the two, firmly but gently pulling the rod back and forward should show if its stuck or not i have my fingers crossed for you!
  13. i would have a fiddle with your waste gate before going any further, i can only think of 3 possible faults, stuck waste gate, big leak or turbo with dead bearings although i would have thought the latter would make a lot of noise
  14. if you think of the waste gate a throttle..if it is half open the engine only produces half power (in a simple world) now imagine the waste gate is stuck half open.... the turbo only see's half its original 'power' and will as such only accelerate with half the effort (you following?) so its spool up will seem really slow or laggy and possibly not achieve full boost lol sorry forgot what i was trying to say:d but this bit might help in your diagnostics
  15. dont know what you mean but is it like a heat shield resonating ?

    Wheels

could be interested in the wheels mate, do you have a guide price and where abouts you from?
  17. i couldnt say for sure but it is making boost and doesnt sound like a bag of bolts in a tumble dryer, to me says turbo's are in the clear. looks like a split pipe or serious leak, my first checks would be... 1) sort the running (coil pack clips, plugs...) i think you have already done this 2) check the waste gate on number one turbo..if its stuck open the turbo wont create boost and wont be able to bring the second tubbie online 3) check for leaks between the output of tubbies and throttle body 4) if still no joy, look for shrapnel in the exhaust system (first cat if you have one) EDIT: btw i have not read your other thread (well i dont think lol ) so if thats already been covered sorry:)
  18. looked fairly standard, shounded like a big fat superbike:blink: 2 young lads driving, i was the guy stood looking in a black t shirt and or lass pointing:D will have been about 3pm sunday 13/07/08
