Did you get your install certified? Are building control needed? I have just spoken to a company and told them I was having one installed and he told me to make sure the installer was HETAS registered. On the plus side he said I should be fine without a liner but will need the flue tested.

That is what I was trying to say earlier, that it only becomes illegal when it causes careless driving.

I've had a cigarette blow back into the car and go down the back of my shirt while driving. Fortunately i was coming to a stop when it happened so it didn't effect my driving, but it could have caused a problem otherwise. That is the only incident in 8 years or so though, and I have had near misses alot more whilst pootling along behind someone doing 35 in a national speed limit area (my pet hate).

I'll agree to that. I smoke in my car but would never do it with children present.

I thought that eating and drinking were not illegal, unless causing you to drive in an unsafe or careless manner. Could be wrong though.

I think smoking is just one of many things that can be distracting, it all depends on the driver I suppose. Waving to your mate going in the opposite direction could be a big distraction, but you couldn't ban that.

I'd say no, but I'm biased. Saying that I have seen a few near accidents through others smoking.

How much would this upgrade cost? I have UK spec lights with HIDs and although the MOT station says the beam is perfect I still blind people and take abuse for it. It would be nice to be able to lower as required.

I was tempted by a log burner when you posted the pictures but I wasn't sure it would look right in my living room. I've just had another look at the website and seen this one so thanks for the inspiration http://greymetal.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=6&products_id=198 If I get this it will be going into a chimney breast which has previously been an open fire, not sure how long ago though. Does anyone know if I would have to install a flue liner? I have smoke tested the chimney in the past and there was no evidence of leakage.

That looks good! I really didn't like the scoops when I first got my supe but Dean's (tooquicktostop) car changed my mind and I really like them on black cars now. I think I'd better add one to the shopping list.

I just found a few posts on other forums, here's one of them. They were all similar. "i have Prestivios's on 18" ultralite's on my IS200 and jeeesus i have had some hairy moments with them , even at low speeds they like to lose grip unexpectedly !"

I was going to reccomend http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/ but they don't list them at all. Not much help really, but if you do not go with the ones he is offering now, you can check any others he offers.

Another option is to just tell them what you like and let them reccomend something similar. If you don't like it, try something different next time.

My favourite is either a Pathia or Dhansak. Both are sweet, medium curries. I always ask for mine a bit hotter than normal as they are quite mild. If you like the look of something else hotter, just ask them to tone it down a bit. Most curries can be tailored to suit, and i haven't been to an indian yet that isn't happy to accomodate.

You can collect them from Travis Perkins, Wycombe Lane, High Wycombe , HP10 0HH When you get there tell them you want to order from Quote number Q247690 (under my name - Phil Browne). I assume they will have these in stock, if not they should get them in pretty quickly. When I got the quote I guessed at 10 sheets, but just tell them you re-measured if they ask.
