  1. Do you by any chance have the wiring and switch for the active spoiler? If so I'll take the ECU.
  2. Cheers mate. Can you make a note to PM me when the next batch is underway please, just in case I don't check back on this thread!
  3. WOW! Don't think I've ever advertised a car and been told to up the price! lol. Thanks for the nice comments, but to be fair these cars are cheap and I'm asking a reasonable price. They've not held their price like our Supras have!!
  4. BUMP. Car is still for available and I'm still open to offers!
  5. OK, thanks for the heads up! Is it worth me just getting all new hoses from Toyota or will that just be silly expensive?? If I'm going the route of the Gates hose, what diameter will I need?
  6. I guess I've missed out on this!? I knew I should've ordered BEFORE buying the car!! When will you be doing another run or can I Just order one anyway??
  7. That sounds ideal Chris. Shame you're so far away from me! Can you not move closer?? :rolleyes:Is there a good way to check for leaks or is it a case of going through each and every hose and visually inspecting? Is it maybe worth me getting a length of fresh silicone hose and just replacing them all to be sure? They are 15yrs old after all! How should I test the solenoids? Aman...I'll try sqeezing the throttle some more next time I'm out in it and see what happens. If it turns out I need a solenoid, I'll give you a shout. I take it they're known to be working?
  8. THE one and ONLY affect I can see this having on your fuel is reducing it's flow!! I've seen other versions before where you drop them into your fuel tank. As far as I can see, these are just well marketed pap!! As Chris said, if they really were magic, why are they not fitted to all high performance cars as standard? I think if I were you I'd steer clear.
  9. I've recently bought my 1st Supra, a TT 6 speed facelift that's totally stock with 114000 kms and has never been modded. Absolutely LOVE it but have made a weird observation that I'm not sure is normal. I know potential issues are really hard to describe over a forum but I'll try my hardest! Here goes! Symptoms: 1: When gently accelerating up through the revs at around 25% throttle, the stock boost gauge climbs and you can hear the turbo spinning. At 4000 RPM while maintaining the same throttle, the boost gauge drops right off and you can't hear any turbo whistle. It stays like that to the red line. (Could this be that there is not enough exhaust flow at part throttle to spool the 2nd turbo??) 2: When accelerating hard through the revs at WOT, the car pulls hard but then at around 3700-4000ish RPM there is a momentary big drop in power / flatspot and then it all comes back as before, but I wouldn't say any harder like I'd expect with both turbos online. (Is this drop / flat spot normal during the transition between 1 and 2? If this is normal, should a standard car pull noticeably harder after the transition than before?) I've read loads of threads through the search function but none seem to specifically match my 'problem' if there is one. Have I read these threads and talked myself into thinking I have a problem? Before owning my 1st Supra, I'd only ever been out in an auto TT and I'm sure that didn't have the flat spot on transition but then it was some time ago so I may not be remembering correctly!? Hope I've made my explanations clear enough and I'm sorry if I've rambled on! Thanks in advance for any input on this.
  10. spotted eastbound M27 yesterday evening. I was driving like a granny in the inside lane (had my GF following me!) and a lovely looking black past me in the outside lane. Gave it a flash and got a hazard light flash back...anyone from here?? If so...HELLO!!
  11. A car with 2 'wiggly' lines coming out the back of it?? Sounds like a traction control kind of light to me.
  12. Evening all! It is with some sadness I'm offering my manual S70R for sale, though the reason being is I have just bought my dream car (TT6 Facelift!), so kind of sweetens it a bit! Still, I shall be sad to see her go. It's a 1998 car with 110k miles and a full service history. I don't think I've seen another in black and it always gets comments on just how nice it looks. I've recently detailed it. You can see the results of that here. http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=120424 The condition of it is great, there are the odd few marks around it as you'd expect with a 13yr old car, but overall she's great! The interior is again in fantastic condition the exception of the steering wheel which is quite worn. This is the only aspect that lets the interior down. Although the car has 110k on the clock, the engine was replaced for a brand new Volvo one at 66k due to road debris penetrating the sump and starving the engine of oil. It drives fantastically as you'd expect and with a few choice mods it goes well too. It has a K&N shielded intake, an MBC running at 1.1 bar and producing 285bhp with a graph, Powerflex top engine mount, Forge blanking plate, 18" genuine Pegasus wheels in anthracite (one is very lightly scuffed) and genuine egg box grill and C70 crystal / jewel headlights. I had the matching indicators but one was broken so the car is fitted with jewel headlights and standard indicators. I actually really like it like that on a black car as you don't have the orange reflectors. If it's not to your taste, Rufe at FRF can supply a new one for £52.54. I still have the other unbroken one. Taxed till the end of June and MOT expires at the beginning of June but I will put a new 12 month ticket on it for the new owner. Onto some photos. Apologies I haven't taken any of the front end with the jewel headlights, but I will endeavor to get them up ASAP. I'm looking for reasonable offers around £3000. I highly encourage any viewing as the photos don't really do it any justice. I hope I've not forgotten too much, but if there is anything you'd like to know, don't hesitate to get in touch either through the forum or my number is 07824632799.
  13. Damn...and I thought I'd be different if I bought a Supra! Lol. Don't see many around...though I tend to chub up a bit when I do!!!
  14. Nice! As and when I end up with a Supra, whichever one it may be, we'll have a little Pompey meet.
  15. What are you doing to yours Darren? Jon- no worries mate!
  16. I'm getting ever closer to buying my 1st Supra. There are a few on the cards but I'm really leaning towards a lovely GZ auto from Jurgen. The question, is there anyone relatively local to me with a similar car that would be kind enough to let me have a little drive?? I know it's cheeky but I've only ever driven a manual NA Supra and don't want to buy a car from Japan without having driven one. Jurgen's is stock so for comparison, one as close to slick as possible would be great but not essential. Thanks in advance guys!
  17. Whoa! That told me! I don't think I've lowballed him and I certainly haven't intended to insult him. At the end of the day, I don't think ANYONE would give £9500 for a '96 TT auto. I think even the £7500 I've offered is alot for that car, but I want a nice Supra and if that's as nice as it looks, I'd give £7500...perhaps even a little bit more if it meany securing a deal. Scooter: I'm not definitely after a manual. Ideally a TT6 but I don't think my budget will stretch so I'd be happy with a nice TT auto. Jurgen: I had looked at your GZ on PH, but dare I say it, thought it a little pricey as the VVTi Tiptronic I'm looking at is the same price the a good PX offer. What sort of deal would you be able to do then? PM me if you'd rather.
  18. I have written him a very well constructed email saying I believe it's over priced and offered £7500. As of yet, I've had no response which is a shame as it looks very nice and is only down the road from me. Havard...have you delimited your Tiptronic? This is another option for me. Torque GT have one but I'm worried about the implications of delimiting the Tiptronic but think it'd be criminal to have a limited TT Supra!!
  19. So how much did you end up paying for yours then being 2years younger and TT6??
  20. ...or is it just me?? I've made him an offer which I think is more than fair to him, but now I'm wandering. If you were going to offer on this car...what would it be? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2734669.htm
  21. I've just read that entire thread and it really does seem like there is NO way of doing this! It seems crazy to me! Such an awesome car let down on such a small detail! I know it is a small detail among all the plus's but as I said to Jonc earlier, I do the very occasional airfield day with a 1.5 mile straight and that would get very boring very quickly having far lesser cars breeze past me whilst I'm bouncing along on the 112mph limiter!
  22. Jon...emptied! I only had 10 in there though!! This limiter question is bugging me now as it's putting me off getting a VVTi Tiptronic even though it really ticks all my other boxes!!
  23. So is it a case of it being impossible to remove the limiter or is it just more difficult than a non Tiptronic car??
  24. Yes it is the one Buckfastleigh. Is there something I should know about this one then?? Scooter...that'd be really helpful, thank you very much!
  25. Nice one! Thats a helpful tip to know. Any other pointers? I'm in Waterlooville, just north of Portsmouth.
