  1. Nice one, thanks for clarifying. Bearing in mind I've got a 3" 2nd Decat and 3" cat back to go on, most the 1st decats I've seen are only 2.5". What are the pros and cons between have a 2.5" or 3" 1st Decat??
  2. Ah...gotcha!! How about using a restrictor in the vac pipes? I know the restrictor ring in the exhaust is an easy and tried & tested route to take, but having a restrictor ring in the exhaust is going to create alot of turbulent air which could be backing up and stalling the blades, defeating the object of a free flowing system.
  3. This is a very good question! I plan on running a 3" system all the way through with a boost controller as personally it seems odd to me having 3" exhaust with 2.5" decats and even smaller restrictor rings!? Surely have the nice free flowing 3" system then use a BC to restrict the boost!
  4. Yes, the 2nd Decat will only be a temporary measure until I can afford the other Decat, boost controller and AFR gauge. That brings me to another question! I have a Defi boost gauge with the Defi Link control module (these are yet to be fitted) Does anyone know if Defi do an AFR gauge to work with this system??
  5. As I've spoken of before, I plan to end up BPU but my car is stock ATM. I've just bought a 3" 2nd Decat and am probably going to end up buying a Nur Spec R. My question is, can I get away with fitting just these bits for now and keeping the other cat in place, or will removing only one cat still cause the Jspec turbos to over speed??
  6. Damn!! I wanted that as I've got a brand new Apexi power intake sat here that I bought for my old car and never fitted!! Don't suppose there are any part numbers on there you could give me???
  7. BBS CH. Got 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. Not entirely sure of offset but can find out if anyone is interested.
  8. Had a look at the exhaust db register and the Motoria is louder than the Nur Spec!! That's quite a big factor for me as when I 1st started looking into zausts, I was worried that a Nur Spec would be too loud!! Budget wise, I've not really got one, BUT the cheaper the better!! I've got £750 spare and the less I spend on an exhaust, the more I have for something else!! Perhaps a filter!? Looked at getting the Whifbitz exhaust and filter package for £570 but I'd need to confirm that price because if you buy the pipe and filter separately from his site it works out around £540 so there must be a typo somewhere!
  9. Cool. Thanks for all the help. Really nice to be part of a helpful forum. Been on several others in past cars and they can be the most unhelpful an unfriendly places going!! BTW...added a poll to this thread as I have money for a system but can't make my mind up so other people's opinions are appreciated. If you vote 'other', please comment on what other you're referring to.
  10. Jamie, did yours actually have Motoria on the tail pipe?? The exhausts in the 2 links look the same, but the one in my link has Motoria written on the tailpipe and is £328 +£20 postage, whereas the exhaust in your link is £179.99 with free shipping! Why such a price difference? I'm all up for cheap, but do have to ask myself if that's just TOO cheap or if the one in my link is just horribly overpriced!?
  11. That does look exactly the same but much cheaper! Is the quality actually any good? Was going to get a Nur Spec but this seems quite good value if it's not as poo as I'd expect for that price!? Anyone got any sound test figures for one of these on a double decatted TT??
  12. Having a little browse on eGay and saw this last night and wandered if there were any opinions?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MKIV-Toyota-Supra-93-98-TRD-style-stainless-exhaust-3-/250425166459?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a4e80ca7b#ht_1749wt_982

    Swirl scratches

I haven't detailed mine yet but am looking forward to it! Need a good 2-3 days spare though! The steps I'll use will be: -Wash with fairy liquid to degrease -Sonus clay bar -Wash with Megs to remove clay lube -Machine using suitable Menzerna compound/pad combo. (least aggressive needed to remove swirls) -Machine using Super Resin Polish -Machine using Poorboys White Diamond glaze x2 (use the Black Hole version for dark colours) -Carlack sealant x2 -Colonite 476s wax x2 -
  14. They're 17x8 A point to note which I'd forgotten...there are no centre caps with them.
  15. Pair of front 17s. Good condition. No tyres. £50 ono collected.
  16. I'll probably come along to this, but won't be going on the dyno! Will just come along for the crack! My mate knows Sam and Shaun there pretty well so I expect he'll be up for joining me!
  17. The Nur Spec still tempts me but although the sound is a big factor, the main reason for changing the exhaust is for power gains. If my 200SX was anything to go by, fitting the bung causes a huge restriction so if I'm going to need the bung fitted to be comfortable or on the odd occasion I want to get on a track then I may as well stick with the restrictive stock system and decat that. Mooret, thanks for posting that fella. Probably won't be interested in the HKS if it needs that much work, but definitely be interested to see (and hear) this new Whifbitz system. Is it going to be twin box?
  18. These are now provisionally sold guys. Thanks for all the interest.
