  1. Fancy PM'ing me a price of one posted please Paul?
  2. Well I've just taken the jump and ordered some new toys from Dusty at MVP.. PHR Street Kit MAP ECU Innovate LM-1, LMA-3 and CD-16 Should keep me quiet for half hour or so I'm going to try and document the install if I can, looks like one or two small things might need sorting from what I've read. I think having a UK car I should be ok on the downpipe front, but will need something like a 90-degree fitting on the oil feed to miss the steering column. I decided on the street kit mainly for the cast manifold and quick spool up time. I'm not really interested in BHP figures, I just want a well set up car that is realistically quick on the road. I've been following Wez's posts with interest I know the MAP ECU is a piggy back and not ideal, but it'll do as a starting block and I can then move on to other things as they come about. I've got big plans, but time and budget will dictate them
  3. So.. What does the red button do?
  4. The UK system is slightly different, it also runs on the ABS instead of just the second throttle butterfly. I have to say though, I still think it's a complete load of crap. It annoyed me so much in interrupting proper driving, that I got in to the habbit of turning it off every time I got in the car and eventually took the fuse out to disable it properly. I personally think it's downright dangerous in the wet when it cuts in, and it's never very good at working out when to cut in. I've had it cut in when the car's done no more than go over a small bump and then not even wake up when I've been doing 45 degrees down the road off of a roundabout. TC on a stock or even BPU Supra is totally un-neccessary in my opinion, it's not exactly a hard car to drive, even when you provoke it. As JamieP's sig said, 'The Bandit didn't have RLTC'
  5. I did wonder if it might be him, not ever met him though..
  6. As above, going single and will need one of these to weld on to the intercooler piping. Preferably aluminium please
  7. With I *think* a Veilside rear wing but I could be wrong.. I'd just come off the roundabout and was going in the opposite direction.
  8. Going down Blackman Avenue at about 2.30 today, gold wheels I think. Thought I was driving towards a mirror for a minute! You waved and I just nodded at the last minute, not sure if you saw or not.
  9. If they're not taken, I'll have them
  10. Another GT4OC refugee, welcome to the Supra club Tone I'd be interested in one of these, I got a set from Andycaca ages ago but they didn't work properly
  11. Taken a while to get some pics, kept forgetting! They look far worse condition than they are, just need cleaning which I will do if anybody is genuinely interested in the condition of them.. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=1600396
  12. I have three Axis 18" alloys left from a set (one was badly buckled and thrown out by the garage). I believe they are model 147's and they're not made any more hence I bought a new set of wheels. The two fronts are 9" and the rear is a 10" rim, all in ok condition just need a good clean and some decent metal polish on the rims to bring them up. I believe all 3 have slight kurbing to the outer rim but this could easily be taken off with some care and a little sandpaper. I'm not sure what the offsets are and I can't find it printed on the wheels. Front wheels: http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/oldwheelfront1.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/oldwheelfront2.jpg Rear wheel: http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/oldwheelrear3.jpg If anybody is really interested then I'll give them a clean up, they've been sat in the garden now for months and still have some brake dust along with all the other dirt all over them. I'm more than willing to split the set, so open to offers on each wheel if anybody is interested, otherwise I'll have a go at them on eBay. I'm down in East Sussex and would much prefer not to send these out, I haven't got anything to package them in for a start!!
  13. Wait until you eat some rice
  14. Here bloody here.. And they're always out at 5pm when the roads are busiest with people trying to get home from work. "Drive slower".. "F*ck off in a field where it's meant to be!"
  15. Had mine out a week last Friday, both bottom ones and the right one was badly impacted so had two stitches too. Left one didn't bother me at all, never hurt after or since but the right was swollen for a few days then went down. Lots of scrambled eggs, baked beans, mince etc.. Nearly fine now, though my bottom right lip is still numb so they must have caught the nerve when taking that one out. They say it 'should' come back within the next 1-3 months, unless I'm very unlucky. Oh, and I was a big jessy and made them do it under a general, I was fine within half hour and allowed to go home and it didn't bleed at all after about 7pm in the evening
  16. My girlfriend loves mine, I have to prise the keys out of her hands. And she's not shy with it either
  17. Quite nice, think they should suit it well.
  18. I'll have to get some in the morning as they're stacked up outside in the dark at the moment. From memory they are Axe 147's though, two front's and one rear at 8.5" and 9.5" respectively.
  19. You found us in the end And you had food, git
  20. The whole reason they keep banging on with the 911 instead of developing the Cayman is the huge following that the 911 has after all these years. The Cayman has been brought in as the mid-range car at a mid-range price with the 911 and all the stigma to go with it being Porsche's every-man supercar. If they made the Cayman 911 Turbo or GT2 quick then they honestly believe that they will do themselves out of a huge number of sales. I suppose the man in the street likes to think that he can drive and tame something so 'wrong' and not realise that it's years of Porsche development and engineering that makes him able to go round corners. Saying that, I drove a 996 Carerra recently and I thought the handling and balance was absolutely amazing compared to my Supra..
  21. Now that's thinking outside of the 'box'
  22. Fair enough guys, I just try and keep away from selling on eBay as much as possible, all the muppets and scam artists really annoy me..
  23. Does anywhere near of a company that buys part sets of alloy wheels to sell on for people who have damaged one? I've got a set of 3 18" alloys as one was buckled and I bought a whole new set (wheels are no longer sold new), sitting here doing nothing. Seems a shame to throw them away.. I can get a fiver a wheel down the local scrap metal merchant, but it'll cost near that in petrol to get there
