would probably be a good idea to do other (boring) jobs first before hitting the bhp route. maybe get the car FULLY serviced (cambelt, lsd fluid, 'box oil, fuel filter etc), get the valve stem seals and turbo seals done, maybe replace the intercooler (if it hasnt already been done). get the car dyno'd in stock form, make sure its running sweet as a nut, then do the performance mods.....will probably save time, tears and money in the long run. these cars, however reliable, are cracking on a bit

i noticed the ticking noise when i switched the stereo off after a drive. so the engine was warm....gunna put it down to the injectors, after putting my ear to them, the noise appears to be coming from there. there we have it, sophisticated diagnostic equipment is the human ear

yeah, thought it may have been the injectors, just that ive never noticed it before, didnt notice it when i had my n/a either. oh well, maybe just paranoia!

ive noticed a ticking noise coming from my engine. popped the bonnet and it appears to be comong from the inlet side (twin turbo), the ticking increases in speed with revs. anyone with any ideas?? it almost sounds like a quiet diesel.....which isnt good.

positive, unless i have two whistling dwafves beneath my bonnet! you do have to admit though; a few of the new "hot hatches" are pretty quick. not that i'd own one. but quick. obviously top speed wouldnt be an issue but mildly tuned motors in a new hi-spec hot hatch would pose a threat. especially o-70

has anyone recently had their turbo seals changed? am looking to replace the stem seals myself, unless i can get a decent quote from someone, but im not too keen on co!king about with the turbos, anyone?

not to sound sexist, but, i couldnt imagine any nice looking, femine, birds (or women, however you'd prefer to refer to them) owning a supra. obviously not the case......i'll leave it there, better put the shovel down before this hole gets too big

i guess the figures evo are showing belong to the uk spec car.....slightly heavier i believe. was just a bit thrown when i read the figures, then compared them to other cars in the same category......i've started to believe that no car in the world is better or faster than the supra. reality check!! need more power and less weight i think, starting to worry about what ford and renault are producing lately!

just googled supra spec, brought up dimension etc; then i read the performance figures and they didnt quite seem right. was only searching due to insult from evo magazine; was reading the "knowledge" section in the back, and looked up the sup to see how it measured up to some of the big boys. apparantly standard figures as per evo magazine; 0-60; 6.6 sec, top speed: 160mph, curb weight: 1518kg, bhp/tonne: 209. ???! thought these figures were inaccurate......and the only gave the sup 3 out of 5 stars. d*$kheads

was just browsing tt performance figures when i found these on a yank site Performance* 0 - 60 mph [secs] 4.6 0 - 100 mph [secs] 11.1 1/4 mile [secs at mph] 13.1 at 109 Top Speed [mph] 160 Lateral acceleration [g] 0.98 are these figures accurate? any have or know official performance figures?
