  1. Have u tried disconnecting the battery for 30 mins? It may or may not work but its free to try!
  2. Matchstick men and Dejawoo have a good twist to them.
  3. My GF's mum wants a small dog and thought i would ask here incase someone is looking for a good home for their little pooch. Needs to be good around people and children and can collect near nottingham/Sutton in ashfield area or birmingham. Needs to be a smallish dog like a shitzu/yorksire terrier and dont mind if it is a cross, just nice around people and easy to handle for her. Thanks in advance.
  4. Have u tried claying the car or used tar remover to see if it comes off? If not u will need a mild cutting compound and preferbaly a good machine (rotary or DA) to polish and get the cut required to remove that cr4p. Obviously u dont want a deep cut and remove excessive paint so would use something with a light to intermiadiate cut. I would personally be sending someone round to their cars and getting them looking worse than they left mine!
  5. Trust me mate, its gone past the sound bit now and gives a slight vibaration through the steering wheel. We jacked it up and spun the wheels and sounds like its the passenger side thats had it as it was making a nasting rumbling when spun. It did not do this 2 days ago but must have obviously got worse!
  6. I'm trying to find out which one of my wheel bearings on my e46 m3 is noisy. The problem is that its so loud now that the noise travels and am finding it hard to pin point it. Checked all the wheels for play and they seem good but have a droning noise and it goes away when i turn left. I think its one of the front bearings and would change both but at approx £230-250 fitted a side its not cheap. So does this mean it is the passenger side bearing thats bad? as when i turn left the load goes onto the right (drivers) side bearing.
  7. No prob, just thought i was going mad!
  8. Has this thread been edited?
  9. Me personally would threaten them with not paying the rent full stop, due it it not being fit for living in. And would also point out that they would need a court order to evict him and that would take a good few weeks and then they would need a eviction notice which would give him a further 28 days of free rent while he looks for another place. I know someone who did this and got 5 months rent free while the courts sorted it out!
  10. Looks good but trax time is a bit steep.........£30 for 15 mins!
  11. It may be poor quality in your opinion but the seller has not once described the car as mint and if u read his build up thread then u would see the amount of effort the guy has put in. It might not have come out as he wanted it but he also was very honest about his painting and actually said it looked better in pics as their was orange peel. Now what i dont understand is that even though there have been clear messages about not posting negative stuff in fo sale threads u decide to go ahead anyway..............free country and all that..............or is it because your just hating cause his car is red like yours and has a wide body kit? TBH someone might see your car and say that is poor quality, everyone has different views to what is mint or not but you dont destroy any one FS threads. You will only understand if u come to sell your car one day and people do the same to you.
  12. I must say car looks stunning in the red with the kit and i just read the entire thread on the build........and WOW! Max points to this guy for balls and effort put in and personally if i was looking right now i would seriously consider this car for a project. The minor gripes can easily be rectified and aslong as the car is mechanically sound than seems a good buy for some one. I hate when people try and destory others for sale threads and as said before if u dont have nothing positive to say than dont comment on for sale threads full stop!
  13. I put in a few bids for that car and then recieved a message from the seller saying, please dont bid as car is sold and he can not remove listing as it was under 12 hrs left! Waste of time!
  14. The quality of their roads compared to us is just miles ahead!

Totally agree that prep is the key to a good finish but i have read loads about srp being good for covering swirls. I also agree that it needs to be broken down and worked properly and is best done with a DA or rotary.

What colour is the car? Different waxes/sealents will wok better on different colours. AG hd wax is for darker colour cars and on black even though it gets negative press i like the slickness of supagard if been prepped properly.

Is SRP not supposed to fill in swirls and cover very light scratches? Thats what a lot of people seem to use it for and seem to be getting good results. I have used it myself with a rotary and it does a good job on masking light swirls but does need to be applied monthly and covered with a wax/sealent to make it last. Also SRP i think does not contain any major abrasives and will not give a good cut for correction work but is used mainly for covering swirls etc.
