  8. Hey man, hows tricks been ? What you been up to lately......
  9. Wasnt aware of turbo compound charging until I saw this..... A small turbo feeding a larger turbo, it all seemed a bit nuts at first and confused my noodle, especially running over 100psi So I started searching and came across this for the Supra I know its made by boostlogic but anyone aware of any other aftermarket kits like this and whats our faults around this application ? Anyone have one in the UK or running any such setup ? http://www.boostlogic.com/xcart/product.php?productid=160&cat=9&page=1
  10. After practice is was then 3 judged runs, scores taken from your best 2....... qYutqNoXGWs I qualified in the top 16 out of 32 drivers with 14th place, taking home 3 points for the drivers Championship. I wasnt expecting to get any points, especially for my first round so even though it was 14th place, I actually felt like I had won something. But the main reason for posting this is Im looking for sponsorhship, this is becoming massively expensive now and to date I have been funding myself. The main thing Im after is a tyre sponsor, next a garage sponsor and lastly a parts sponsor. If anyone would be interested or knows anyone that works in these fields and might be interested please get in contact. I have a promotional pdf document so if anyone is interested just ask and I can send this on
  11. We had 3 hours practice.........
  12. Hey all, hows the Supra world been recently, not had chance to get on here much these days so hope all the usual suspects are still about and good Well after spending all of last year messing about sideways at practice days my drifting is now actually going somewhere. I passed my BDC semi-pro drift licence in Dec of last year, then spent the first 3 months of this year getting the car up to spec to compete in the BDC for 2009. So off to Donnington it was for my first ever go at competition drifting for Round 1
  13. Dont tart me boooiiiii Yes mate I do, pretty please, call me, I have lost your number, hence FB
  14. Dean you idiot lol...... I got your PM mate, I phoned the land line you PM's to me and left several messages today mate. But you should have now if Gav PM'd it to you Bell me man.......
  15. I shall get a quote for more options, thanks Ark
  16. Jake, thanks mate, thats another option, the cheapest option so far. I might just do that, my only other alternative I was looking at, is what something Toyta GT mentioned. They have been looking into a small single to replace the OEM turbos, using a T3 Garret Turbo (is that right), cast manifold from the US, the small single making around 450, which is what I originally wanted, wont need no fueling, wont need an ECU, James said ball park of 2k. He said he could the turbo made and tailored so it would pratically mimick the the stocks, all bar the sequential side, but this is the only other alternative I would consider. How you been anyway mate, hows life at Visa these days, everyone still there, I must pop down and see you lot soon, if you'll let me on site, I'll bring the truck with both cars on so you can see them both, Supra is finally finished body wise and you havent seen the little Nissan yet, or the truck, so we'll hit all 3 in one go lol You been at Greenford much mate, Im literally a stone throws away, so we should hook up, if even for quick lunch break
  17. Piss off, their mine lol.......me and Jake help each other out
  18. Im now a little torn on what to do lol.... Im not going single, so thats not even an option...... And at the end of the day, 3k is cheaper then a single kit, and probably still a more reliable and less of the road time setup. Remember Im not paying for power here, Im paying for reliability and well partly more power, I suspect my Hybrids are leaking again and due to valve stem seals she is only feeling around stock power anyway, so even new stocks, wound up, will still be a massive improvement on her. But is it dig deep for new, or maybe try and get a good set of mileage second hand ones?
  19. I just got a quote for brand spanking new stock turbos £1500 Each  Is Steve Manley still doing us a discount, if so, how much discount does he usually give lol. Or does anyone have any other suggestions on the best route to take if you wanted to buy new or nearly new stock turbos, of course not going down the buying a second hair pair that someone has just taken off their 100,000 mile car. I was shocked at Toyotas price, I would have expected £1800 for the pair, but not £1500 each.......
  20. Well, I will be working, which is good, cause Im on my own currently, my choice, but will be better then sat at home lol. I will still be getting a few girls some surprises for Valentines day, because they are strange creatures and they still love being appreciated But on the whole, Im trying to steer clear of females for the next year lol
  21. Ha, I gotta laugh, Im at work so have all the fun in the morning when I leave, but just watching the news, they are showing cars stranded and stuck, yeah all RWD cars though, a Beamer, a Merc and a transit van lol, everyone else was moving. Gotta love the RWD in this weather
  22. I prob wont know for 40,000 or so lol, these will be new units
  23. Guys, I got 2-2.5k to play with, tops, and thats including getting my valve stem seal done and head overhauled, Im not bothered about having a very fast Supra, I just want it to be fast and not have to plough any time or money into her, my drifting is far exceeding in the time and money factor now and I just want the Supra reliable and quick. Ian, so what is water injection used for then ? Supra Matt, not got anywhere near £4,500, so binned Cashpoint, Hybrids always need rebuilding, some people get some decent mileage out of them, but most or majority dont, ask anyone with Hybrids, and even if they are holding now they will let go, speaking to a garage they said the Hybrids with the MR2 are the same, none never hold, it must be differences between the two units being built from production, and then when they are stripped by hand and messed about with. There is no easy answer to why, I have had all 3 rebuilt by different places and each time they let go, and the last wast Envy. Bekei, no there is one aftermarket option for using big twins with the sequential setup, there was one company in the US that was supplying this kit on a basis that they did the install. Other then that yes, Hybrids are your only option. Jamie, you know the stock clutch can hold a good amount....... I have decided, I will go Jspec stocks, 1.3bar, after all I bet they will still seem twice more punchier then my leaking Hybrids at the moment. Aftermarket parts are just crap in all fairness, so Im going back to how Toyota intended.
  24. Water Injection as a added safety ?
