  1. Looking back Im quite gutted I missed so much now, I would have loved to watch the Supras going sideways but I was so determined not to let it beat us, I really thought it would have had it nailed earlier........sorry for making you miss the day too mate, but you're a legend, as always
  2. I have to say despite all appearances I had a good day, despite the fact I didnt get to catch up with anyone or see anything. My turbo had destroyed all the blades inside and on the Friday it took me all afternoon to get the damn thing off, I got the car back home from the garage Friday evening and put the turbo and manifold back on in the dark. Then put the car on the truck in the morning and picked up Archie's mental sounding Mustang, god that thing was loud. So got to Pod about 10:00 and me and Gav thought all we had to do was connect up the oil and water lines and we would be away, this however took 3 times longer then expected, and after some post install issues dropping oil everywhere we finally got it sorted about 16:30 lol. So went out for the last few drift runs. Was really enjoying and very quickly settled into the track and was loving that back puddle getting the misses wet through the passenger window but then due to reasons which Im not sure of I nearly set the car on fire, pulled in, lots of black smoke pouring out from under the hood, I could see it was thick smoke and was expecting to lift the bonnet and flames ignite, shouted to anyone around for a fire extinguisher, totally forgetting the car has a plumbed in fire extinguisher lol, not that it would have been much use, due to BDC spec regs the nozzle for the engine bay has to be situated on the fuel side, not the turbo side, which is realistically gonna be where most fires are, but lifted the bonnet to find a melted cam cover, burst water line and a few other bits and pieces melted, thankfully nothing major, but she must have been minutes away from full on going up in flames lol. Still after spending 6 hours fitting that bastard turbo, as I went out Gav did say to me dont break it, to which I replied Im gonna drive it like I stole it, drifters rule, never lift off lol and I didnt. But the half hour I was out there I it was great..... Still some more work to do on the car now lol....... Massive thanks to Gav for helping, Ryan G's mate and Rob who lent me some oil, and the guys at the end with the fire extinguisher, cant even remember now who's it was but I know the pin was pulled on it because of me so if you let me know how much I owe you for a new fire extinguisher I will sort you out. I have 2 pictures and one bit of video from all day, so if someone starts a media thread I would be interested to see how everyone else got on, very rarely get to see Supra's drifting, and I'll put mine up.....also just took a pic of my slightly charred engine bay, it still smells of fire lol....
  3. Well you're be pleased to hear by rear bumper is now back in one piece, YAY !!!!, but I cant really be arsed to finish sanding it down, primer it and then respray it before Sat, so she'll be in progress on the arse end lol...... Just gotta wait for my T28 to arrive tomorrow and get that on lol....
  4. Dont worry fella, you havent seen me yet throwing my tin can about lol........ She will drift, you just have to use your weight a bit more due to no power and no LSD, but dont be scared, its only a car park with some cones, even at worse you're only keep spinning, its all very safe........ Drifting is like dancing, you gotta do it like no one is watching, otherwise you just look shit, and I never dance, so how the hell I ended up drifting I dont know lol Come talk to me mate, I'll give you some help......
  5. I dont wanna hear excuses Andy, my turbo still hasnt arrived, I still have bumpers that need fibreglassing back together and a truck that needs to be loaded ready once everything has been done first......whats a few hours late into Friday night.........I will be You still have 3 days yet Sir
  6. Do we have any idea on the track layout for drift ?
  7. Pffft, where's your lastminute.com Jamie, Im waiting for a T28 that should arrive Friday morning, up to Matt's to fit that, test it lol, pray its nothing else, get truck, get car, get home, before stealing tyres from someone, load truck up probably late Friday night and then up early to get there.........
  8. All these sub sections seem a bit much lol, why not each have your own sub section for just your car, that will you will all win lol Going fast is achieved by many different ways, turbos, higher octane fuel, turbos running even higher pressure, nitrous, big turbos, little turbos, NA-T, launch control and even then all that can go to shit because we couldnt launch a turd of the end of our own boot. I say if people wanna run nitrous, wanna run their tubbies at 1.4bar and wanna throw in a bottle of octane booster, let everyone do what they want, after all this is all about getting your own little arse down that strip as quick as possible. Best method, pull a face at the chap next to you just before the lights change then lift that clutch like you're trying to make the planet spin beneath you and scream all the way down
  9. pp ? EDIT: You meant paypal didnt you lol

  20. Everyone else, I will get back to you with prices shortly......
  21. I dont think thats quite true, as far as I know mate, and this isnt gospel so you would need to check with DVLA, you get a certain time period that you can drive under your licence before needing to take a UK test. But if I can help let me know.......otherwise happy motoring
  22. Yes I have insurance, not sure specifically how low a car I can get on, its a difficult one to measure, but at worse it would only be removing the front bumper as I do with the Nissan. I will measure how low the Nissan is for you when its next on the ground and let you know to give you some idea
  23. Which one ? Semi-pro BDC? yeah, EDC?, no = FAILED lol......
