  1. Then that wasnt a bad guess considering its been years since I last discussed this and was remembering rough figures off the top of my head lol
  2. Dont you mean incorrectly When is mate, details ?
  3. I love this threads, such jokers...... Our stock or BPU Supras are good for 170-maybe a true 180mph at a push all day long, but people really dont understand what happens to wind to acheive another 20mph on top of that..... Look at this way, to do 170/180 (on a good day) you can probably do that with 350/400bhp..... To make that extra 20mph you need to nearly if not double your BHP Gav, loved your comparison mate
  4. Hopefully we have left a little something for you Yeah, Llandow are always holding practice days there..... This year the BDC is there twice, Round 2 and 5 for a 3 day long drift weekend.......
  5. Cheers Matt, looking forward to dropping the car off to you
  6. Just found this......... Got smoke Yo !!!! http://mjwhitmorephotography.110mb.com/bdc_round2/slides/DSC_8907.jpg
  7. Thanks dude, when are you going to get along, bring the family, get some over sized large fingers on the go....
  8. I would just like to say a massive thanks, and welcome aboard to my sponsor for the 2009 British Drift Championship - AFR Tuning. I have been very impressed with Matt and his setup right from the start and really couldnt think of anyone else I would like to have backing me and feel proud that I have the chance to represent in this years drift Championship. So to keep Matt firmly in the loop I would like to post some pics and info from this weekends Round 2. I qualified in the top 16 again on my second outing, bettering my Round 1 14th position with 10th place for Round 2. My score sheet is below Here is a BDC Trailer Vid for Round 2, full vid to be released soon http://vimeo.com/channels/36715 A few pics of Round 2........ Damn those outside clipping points Roll on Round 3 - 13th June, Lydden Hill, Kent
  9. Story of my life lol, wing it and more luck then judgement, gotta rely on a good bit of luck in life, otherwise you dont walk away from things like this with very little damage
  10. Well Im guessing it aint oil pump, it survived 80mph on the way back, a few others with Vauxhalls are reporting the same, oil light coming on and off, seems it might be wiring or sensor, dunno ? But she runs fine......
  11. Hmmmm, I did wonder that, but its the stupid symbol, it shows an oil can with a drip out of it, to me, that says level lol....... So what common issues would cause low oil pressure ?
  12. I like to think Im a little mad, its more fun then ordinary......
  13. Dunk, that was effort at 06:30 this morning.....I was still waking up
  14. Chill guys lol Its only the misses 1.6 entry level S plate Astra with scratches all over the body.......... Would have checked but I needed to head off to work and the car was already started, weren't willing to turn the engine off, wait 10mins to get a good reading making me late so decided to play the russion roullette game lol......it made the drive in more interesting.... All good though, I just checked it, plenty of oil, dunno what you lot are worrying about lol........light is still on though, faulty sensor maybe.....?
  15. Driving the misses racing Astra into work today, started her up outside my house, oil light came on nice and bright, it came on yesterday but was quite dim and then went out but today was bright as a button, to early for anywhere to be open to proceeded on my 70 mile journey into work..... Just kept looking at it on the motorway thinking dont run out and sieze up, but she made it...... Cant imagine how little oil must be in there if there was no light yesterday and today was full on, gotta be loosing it fairly quickly...... Who reckons it would make it home lol........ So whats the furthest anyone else has driven with the red light constantly on, anyone ever seized an egine like this......
  16. Sorry I didnt call Lui, but I wont be able to make it, GVN need my car longer, have fun guys, was lookng forward to the big convoy on the way
  17. Roll them mate, I had mine rolled by someone that GVN uses and I can honestly there isnt any wavy'ness and people have always said it looks cleaner. Speak to GVN mate, Gerald can put you in touch....... EDIT: Im pretty sure mine throug GVN were about £40 as well.......
  18. Si, Im looking forwad to seeing the finished result on this engine bay, it will make a nice change to the usual bling, and I do like your matt black body, should go well, very night rider/stealth
  19. For a minute I didnt think you was going to get it under control, I would have been panicking long before that lol.......so the car didnt matter then, noticed it was looking a bit black....lol
  20. Cool man, another CA owner, you going this year.....?
  21. Round 2 of the British Drift Championship will be going to Llandow in South Wales on the 23rd May 2009. http://www.thebritishdriftchampionship.com/_lib/_09/round1-news.jpg If anyone comes along you can come and say hi, I will be car no.56, black and white Nissan 180sx. The misses might take the Supra along, lets see if we can get a load of Supra's to dominate the car park for a mini meet Check http://www.thebritishdriftchampionship.co.uk for details and ticket information, tickets are a bargain £10 to see lots of action, smoke and cars going sideways. I have only been to Llandow once before and I didnt have a good outing due to manifold issues and lack of boost so I cant wait to get back and have another crack at this track, the entry on the first corner is pretty mad http://www.vimeo.com/4539106
  22. If it was the car on the dollys that caught alight, WTF happened there ?
