  1. nice to know even a pro gets the red warning light coming on, should we tell him he's a muppet and needs to fill his brake fluid up, maybe not
  2. most interesting, have you any explanation or theorys as to why, do'es anyone else have any input ?
  3. i'me glad we've kissed and made up, even though i dont usually do that on a first date
  4. yeah come on oxy spill the beans on your big ends (oo er missus) and what happened with the head gasket .............your public awaits
  5. i think termy makes a very good point here, we all know the supe has'nt really got a boot as such so the size of the lpg tank would be p**s poor maybe about 150 miles worth of lpg and then you have'nt got a spare tyre !
  6. dont listen to Mawby he's got it all wrong its half of a ping pong ball, apparently the bloke who designed the supra was a big table tennis fan, so its to honour him ('')
  7. jaymdee it sounds like everything on your car is working fine, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to the boost you will get when fitting de-cats and exhausts, everyone assumes that you will automatically get 1.2 bar, with full a de-cat and super dragger mine makes just under 1.1 when its hot and just over 1.1 in the winter, if you want more than the 1 bar you have you could try removing the restrictor ring and see what it boosts to, dont worry if it hits 1.4 bar it wont do it any harm just the once, you could then file a bit of the ring out and keep trying it till you are happy but remember without having a "smart" boost controller (as opposed to a bleeder valve) you will allways be prone to fluctuating boost levels with the seasons, can you trust the gauges you have tried, when i bought a second hand hks gauge i calibrated it at work as we have the gear and it was 0.8 bar out, lastly it may sound simple but have you checked all your intercooler pipework, hope my ramble helps
  8. no dangerous the above was my puny attempt at humour, sorry it does'nt measure up to your side splitting high standards, some people try to keep the forum light hearted, and well .............then theres others ('')

    Oil Change

yep 3 bolts holding power steering reservoir in pull it foward and tie it out of the way it wont leak, when you slacken the filter ( i never use a strap wrench on mine so you may be able to undo it by hand) dont undo it any further put a plastic bag on it (with no holes !) then undo it, then hopefully you wont slop to much oil on your drive, like asupracar sez with the reservoir out of the way you can now lift the filter out from the top as opposed to droping it out of the bottom (oil everywhere)
  10. yo mike fellow sunny morecambe dude ask jon where i live if you want and i'll give you the benefit of my 3 and half years of supra ownership (should take about 2 minutes)
  11. dangerous, its not bleating its called humour
  12. What's the difference between the 2? [/b]
  13. i have'nt heard of collins performance and dont think they would be in morecambe and if they were certainly would'nt have thought they would be any good with supes seeing as theres only me and another guy with a black uk spec, perhaps they had an old mk2 supe 15 years ago so are "experts"
  14. Sorry didnt understand what you meant with the parts. Is the company called "All Parts"? [/b] no mate nothing that complicated, West End Toyota, just your bog standard run of the mill toyota garage, there not concerned whether the cars an import or from mars they just sell you the bits at a reasonable price
  15. Chris Wilson. Race and performance road car servicing and preparation in north Shropshire. Home / Work : 01948-841581 Mobile: 07971-952084 Please use direct e-mail, rather than PM's, thanks! [email protected] yo gareth all parts from toyota in preston there pretty good, i did see a black/gunmetal supe in preston maybe a month or so ago, it looked like it had a veilside type spoiler, is this the other one you refer to ?
  16. yo fellow northern dude i am up the road in morecambe and would strongly recommend you take it to someone such as Chris Wilson, i learn the hard way with the local village idiots who nearly knackered my transmission putting nearly 2 litres to much fluid in !, this was at a time when i knew very little about the car, if you are not into doing the work yourself i would get a major service done by someone like Chris who knows more about supes than most people on this board put together, it would be well worth the drive and you would be able to sleep knowing the work is 100 %, the problem we have oop norf is these cars are pretty rare so not many garages (if any) become familiar with them
  17. so anyway Boneyard have you given the car a good thrashing yet has the condensation gone ?
  18. guys i think we are taking our eye off the ball here and getting a bit obsesed with head gasket thickness, the fella wants help with emulsified oil on the oil filler cap, at this time of year ALL our cars will have this especially if short runs are involved, if you take the car for a real good blast boneyard (20-30 miles) the emulsion will dissapear it is usually just condensation in the oil, if the car is using no oil and there is no oil in the coolant then dont worry, the stock head gaskets are as good as any aftermarkets and i think a venerable old sage of the forum once quoted he reckoned they were made by the same people anyway, take it for a good blast first and see how you get on
  19. has anyone reported this to e-bay, not that they'de do a jot about it, but our consiences would be clear !
  20. most strange, if you look at irenkablue's sold items they are low value dvd's, videos, dolls, and dolls clothing but now seems to know alot about supras, is it possible to hi-jack someones identity ? £1.50 p+p is well cheap though, must be with postman pat and jess postal services
  21. got onto this thread a bit late, but IMHO it all went pete tong at the start with all the SARCASTIC comments, come on guys the fella has taken time to post the pics so if you've out to say why not keep it constructive OR ELSE NO ONE WILL POST for fear of all the crap they get and then we wont have a BBS, lets all kiss and make up and check out the bunny it was defo the highlight of the thread
  22. if you manage this photographic evidence will be required, failure is inevitable, like 50 says just stick it in drive and ignore the blown bulb like i do ..................and that blown bulb laughs at me everytime i get in the car !!!!!!
