  1. no way man the "D" will beat you, it took me to the edge of insanity, arrrhhhhhhhhhh
  2. you are a brave man if you take on replacing the "D" light for the auto, i started with all good intentions but gave up, the lights for all the other controls are pretty straight foward though
  3. sounds very much like a loose connection, my sld is connected directly to the back of the speedo, but they can also be by the ecu, i would defo check your ribbon connections on the back of the speedo though
  4. just find a dealer and trot along they will have a large display rack of every concievable style and font of lettering, if lettering is wot your after
  5. look for the dealers at the bottom of the page it will tell you where your nearest stockist is
  6. Wez i have some C/F you could have for a nominal fee, it is puka carbon natural finish it has been glassed so is ready to go, i will have to measure up to see if it is big enough for the hole, i will pm you tommorow if you are interested http://www.letraset.com
  7. Yo Wez mine is fastened to the frame of the stereo, if you are not going to use the stereo you could attach to this, the C/F in the pic is attached to one of the pocket things you get from halfords when removing the double din, (hacked about a bit) the pocket screws to the frame of the stereo, if you are not using the stereo frame at all you could just stick the C/F direct to the back of the hole in the dash with silicone which could then be removed at a later date if you wished, mine is basically held together with a lot of araldite and super glue
  8. steady on fella, all that masking and templates will be very tricky especially the size you are on, i put my RLTC and S-AFC into a piece of C/F and all the lettering is done with Letraset, if you do a google on a stockist they have shed loads of sizes, if you mess up just start again, then when you are happy give it a coat of laquer to protect, its a piece of p**s
  9. wow really got my teeth into this one now, just done a search on VALVOLINE and what do you know it is API SJ rated whereas HALFORDS is API SL rated, i am really sorry to say that API SL is the newer and higher rated standard, i rest my case your honour, you Valvoline boys must be gutted, form an orderly queue at Halfords tommorow !
  10. ooo you halfords snob, i'll say it for the third time, compare the standards printed on the side of the can (if Mr Halford is reading this, can i have my free 20 litres now-please)
  11. i got a fog switch out of a scrap honda, get down to the local scrappy theres a vast selection of switchs and its great fun you can smash things up and rag the s**t out of all those dash boards and you allways come out with a pocket full of crap that you'll never use, its great
  12. sorry fella but i strongly dissagree, i have worked with hydraualics for seventeen years, so know a bit about oils, mineral stock and synthetic stock ARE entirely different, like chalk and cheese and even if you were correct would mercedes, porsche, VW and BMW tolerate having there standard met, printed on the front of the can, i really doubt that, do a google on the standards i have listed i think you will be surprised, just because the latest designer named oil is expensive dont just assume it must be good compared to crap sounding halfords, to me the standard printed on the side of the can is all important not the corporate image of the company
  13. the link to dudes clip aint to good mate it takes you to an on-line casino, or is it supposed to and your on commision !
  14. I have a mate with a 300 zx who gutted his cats and the car did'nt sound right at all, and it did'nt do much for the performance either, the car made a wierd burbling noise, we came to the conclusion that as the gas flowed down the exhaust it expanded into the now defunct cat chamber and then had to compress itself back into the normal size exhaust possibly causing turbulence in the system (bad), he soughted it by welding tubes into the cat the same size as the exhaust, this may not apply to the supe but i think it is worth considering
  15. good quality 5w-40 fully synthetic (i use halfords) and lexus/toyota oil filter 90915-20004, if you need more info do a search as this subject has been absolutely hammered
  16. have you got a phone number for these, fella
  17. i've taken excepetion to this, GZ auto complete with LSD, bloody manuals all that pedal pushin and wheel spinning while the auto boyz just sail past with no fuss LOL
  18. get some rust eater on the rusty bits or they'll come back !
  19. will post a daylight pic tommorow noboby help me with the wires ?
