jonny mac replied to jonny mac's topic in Parts Wanted
great ideas, thank you both -
mainly drift car, from memory £2300 with the clutch, flywheel and arp studs, also release bearing adapter alone is £600 from memory as I'd asked about them previously

updates! pics to come later bought ID1050x injector dynamics x6, turbosmart 1200 fuel pressure reg and a lot of wiring parts to finish off the loom the loom is currently lay out in my shed at home on the worktop, I've got it all laid out and marked up so I know which wires to power etc fingers crossed it'll all work ok as I've got a base tune setup session booked for the 10th of july at a local place to have a run in map done
-
hi guys, looking for a mkiv supra vvti turbo ecu and plugs with an offcut of the loom i have a spare non vvt turbo loom but i doubt the ecu connectors will work basically i'm missing some vital plugs on my aristo ecu as it's from the chassis loom side so to try keep things tidy and clean i'd like to use a supra ecu with plugs alternatively i can just add my own wires with crimps onto the ecu that i need to power it and seal up the connector with a paste compound so it'll be hard wired all the time then add a deautsch connector or something along the way

anyone fancy moving this to the build section on the forum?

finally got round to the supra badge! 85 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr also had my mate come by with his arch roller as i needed the inner edge raised a little at the top as it was catching the wheel under compression you can't tell by looking from the outside, it hasn't flared the arch outwards, also i've covered the life out of it where we were working in underseal just incase the paint had split even a small amount 86 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr so a big delivery turned up one morning at work 87 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr the guys at jdm distro done an awesome job sourcing a clean engine, only thing missing in my order was the afm i'd asked to be included, they said they'd send one out so i spent my lunch break stripping off the auto transmission that came with the engine, all bolts were still like new! this has to be the cleanest 2jz i think i've ever seen....it must be a seriously low mileage, the block isnt even rusted on the cast outside! so i got the engine home and put it on my spare stand and out the way for now 88 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr so far i've managed to collect: mkiv turbo power steering pump the banjo fitting for the brake servo 1994 turbo engine mounts turbo rear sump with oil drain flange walbro 255lph fuel pump fmic pipes and core also for the loom, i'm going to extend this loom through to the footwell for now and add in efi relays and make it work with my chassis plugs for rpm signal output etc
-
true! i'll work it out later on picked up a 2jz gte tt power steering pump this week, also a set of fmic pipework and a walbro 255lph fuel pump just to buy a fmic core next, will probably just get the universal 600x300x76mm one from any motorsport place

this weekend I found a guy selling a supra gte turbo ecu loom so I've got my name down on that when it comes off the car, however it's a non vvt loom so I may not actually use it my last resort would be buying a haltech 2jz2go loom and ecu but that's a big spend for what really would just be powering a few 12v wires on an ecu loom I'll manage to get it going, weather it means leaving the ecu tucked somewhere in the engine bay for now behind the battery as the loom is too short for a supra or weather I sit down and manually lengthen /rejoin every single wire in the loom to reach the supra passenger floor
-
thanks dude, yeah I work 6 days a week and also most evenings to cover my habbit, drugs would have been cheaper haha! so I've found a lad breaking a gte supra so I've bought his rear sump with oil drain, got my name down on a few other bits from his car that I'd need for BPU too
-

aluminim cross member n/a turbo difference?
jonny mac replied to jonny mac's topic in mkiv Technical
sweet, so for me using my 2jz ge n/a auto engine brackets from my 1994 prefacelift, i'll need to find vibratecnics engine mounts for the n/a prefacelift? i was going to fit a 2jz gte from an aristo soon and just want to make sure i can use my existing mounts providing i don't mix them up -
hi guys, is there a difference between the n/a auto the tt auto front aluminium cross members? I've been looking at engine mounts online and apparently there are some differences? [/img]

I Also what about the actual brackets on the engine? I've seen a few different styles of them

2jz fuel injector recomendations for high power
jonny mac replied to jonny mac's topic in Supra Chat
what price are you for 6 with plugs/pig tails? I've found injector dynamics id1050x for £600 delivered online so far -
hi guys, I'm looking for some advice from those of you using large cc fuel injectors they need to be top feed 14mm top and bottom, 60mm length here's the spec of my car: 1jz head, non vvt, massive port job done 264 bc cams, bc springs and retainers 2jz block forged pistons and rods (20cc) 6 boost manifold and a gtx3582r turbo, t3 divided collector, .8 exh housing into 3" v band and 3" exhaust hypertune style intake with 90mm throttle body and 3" cooler/pipes basically I'm looking to make a bucket load of power at 2 bar, turbo rated to 650bhp but I reckon I could make more I'm using link g4 ecu stand alone so it doesn't matter if they are high or low impedance, I have two bosch 044 fuel pumps and a walbro lift pump to swirl pot so fuel pressure isn't an issue I've been looking at injector dynamics 1050x new style injectors? what do you all use/power do you make at what duty cycle ? and where did you get them? and what would people recommend, this is my last piece of the puzzle in my build so I'm more than happy to wait for the right thing

bought a set of oem 17" turbo wheels delighted! finally....been looking for a set of these for a long time 82 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr they need a refurb and tyres done so i'll see if the powdercoating place can do them while my subframes are being done full rear subframe from a turbo mkiv, i'm going to use all the rear end parts but polybush and powdercoat them don't think it's an lsd but i'll open it up to check the ratio anyway as it may not be the correct diff to the chassis plate 81 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr and a full front end, again to be stripped and made pretty/new rubber bushes 84 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr the old paper speakers were dead, finally got round to replacing them 83 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr random ones in the back and alpines up front behind oem speaker grills
-
had wee hole drilled for switch broken rear 1/4 pannels, do have both speaker vents
