Thanks Gav
I'll be speaking to the garage tomorrow. Good of you to remember this..
Cheers
Rob
Edit, just in from CW...
Personally I'd tell them nothing, as, like telling the doctor what you have, it's bound to wind them up. If you don't trust them take it elsewhere. I once knew a guy who took his car to a garage, left it 2 hours, went on the `Net to ask his friends opinions, and rang them to TELL them his head gasket was gone. Seeing their arse they fitted a new head gasket and rang him to pay and collect. It still overheated. They then told him it needed a new thermostat. He learnt an expensive lesson... They probably still chuckle about closet experts. Once you start telling THEM what's up, and how to fix it, YOU carry the can if it still doesn't work, leave them to it and THEY carry the can

Good point Chris, however, Dave, the mechanic has looked after my cars for 15 years, so I feel it's in safe hands. I can't resist asking a few questions on here, as there are some very knowledgeable members. Once again good to know people looking out for each other on this site.
Thanks
Rob.
