I'd be up for this Jamie, except you'd need to supply a step-ladder so I can mount the castle in a proper and dignified manner, and then my main strategy would be to attack his foot

So you're a bit of a old git now then? erm...I mean experienced martial arts Sensei and practitioner
  3. I'm a massive fan of my Blitz Nur Spec RX Quiet for cruising and pottering about, with a cheeky rasp if you get a bit excited.
  4. Joe, how you intrigue us with your tales of fancy and legend concerning that mythical beast - the Top Secret Supra.

    Motorway License?

Ok. Thing is, if you move from the inside to middle lane, or middle to outside - and you do your over-take, but this actually takes one or two minutes as there are a few cars to pass, then surely to go back to your original lane without indicating may seem out of the blue to the final driver that you have passed. He/she did not know you were originally behind them, granted, some hundreds of metres back etc. To pull back in would seem ungentlemanly, sloppy and possible a bit dangerous?

Ah ok. Having retired from comps etc, do you still train a bit and/or teach? And if so, do you still find it enjoyable?

Ok Hodge, I think enough tennis from each other But perhaps more seriously, as a regular and successful competitor, do you have personal accident cover or private healthcare? Clive Potter Wong Shun Leung Nino Bernardo Dave Lea Bill 'Superfoot' Wallace
  14. I don't lie about my bhp as I don't know what it is. Must get to a SRR meet at some point. I do lie about my five turbos under the bonnet though. Sometimes I say it's only got four.

If you re-read my post you'll see I didn't put you in the cowboy category And no, I haven't heard of these people, as I don't have an interest in Karate in any way. It's only one of many arts, but I'm fine with my credibilty as are my thousands of customers, and the well known people that have trained myself over the years. I won't mention their names, because you probably wouldn't have heard of them either - So fear not, my wealth of experience is clearly not in question. Hope you get a new boot soon.

I don't doubt Hodge for a minute btw It's just with martial arts styles and clubs not being unified as they're soooo numerous, one man's European or even World champion is another man's Whoopee-do! Whoopee-do is not a martial art - for the record. I remember fighting a European Chapmpion in about 1986 and I beat him quite easily - He wasn't very good, nor was I. It's my business I've been running with my business partner and together we have taught around 25,000 people between the two of us. I guess we've had around 150 clubs of one sort or another on the go over the last 23 years. You won't see us in magazines, on the tele or even on the net - we don't live in those glamorous places. Oh and it's teaching self-defence, but my actual thing is Ving Tsun. (Wing Chun)
  17. To be fair you simply opened up a thread 18 months old. Anyway - SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND Sorry for shouting.

OK Champ, that's great. But I've never heard of you. Oh and been running my own martial arts busines since 1986. Anyway, the point being is to go private instead of using NHS resources. Edit: You can probably purchase personal accident inurance which should take care of medical bills incurred etc...probably less than £100 pa. Maybe worth it if you are continuing to compete.
  19. yeah, he'd been drinking some Trevino and had previously eaten a Palmer ham club sandwich.
  20. Turns out he was leaving his bunkerlow, wasn't happy with a single storey and was off to buy-a-stair(os) Sorry.
  21. It was looking touch and go for a while - so much so they were thinking of calling the Padraigh in.

Sounds more like a typical martial arty bloke moaning about a self inflicted injury. http://www.bupa.co.uk edit:or get better at Karate.
