  1. yeah it has bigger ones, not sure what the size are though but the car would underfuel dreadfully otherwise, prob would have noticed by now
  2. Hey! thats not fair lol. unfortunatly i can't prove it until i get it dyno'd but that would be one thing i would do before selling if someone asked.
  3. it does run over 400bhp. it was catching up with my dads evo fq400 for a start when i first got it in a drag race. the guy i bought it off did have a dyno copy he was going to give me when i picked it up but he couldn't find it at the time and never got round to sending it to me... i was going to get it dyno'd anyway but never happened
  4. i'l be completly honest in selling it listing all the problems etc. just a few people will see "orange, supra, 400bhp+" and will prob buy it....i did the same but without the orange bit

Ok had to pick my girl mate up from maida vale today coming from kings langley (near Watford). apart from the wipers blowing fuses before i set off, the fuel gauge not working..or the speedo...and no upper boot rubbers fixed, i set off. this has been the first time in about a year ive travelled this distance length and after going and coming back i remember why i wanted to sell the thing lol. going on the fact ive got 19's all round with 10" rears, and no trac control, the handling isn't gonna be great. but even when i put my foot down a bit on the straights, it felt incredibly twitchy and a bit like driving a jet..complete loss of sense i was actually touching the ground..bit like gliding lol. Now also the other thing that was chronically infuriating was the noise. i'm not sure what exactly my exhaust is but its de-catted..and its soooo loud. i was lucky not to get tinnitus! its ok driving round ere and there but my god its annoying! the suspension is rock hard and picks out the smallest chip stones making the ride really uncomfortable. the car generally just feels unsafe! really like its got a mind of its own. really thinking of getting rid of it and getting one which is a bit more standard. not sure whether to go forward with this 6 speed conversion now. i'm just to scared to put my foot down in it in case it explodes! lol

  8. ok ive just blown 3 fuses in a row because of something linked to my wiper blades. when i start them the fronts move once then the fuse blows. the fuse first went when i started up the car in the snow and the wipers were accidently left on- this is what i have thought has happened. ive changed the fuse twice already and manually wobbled the blades front and back just in case the ice has frozen one of them. is there any way of sorting out this problem as its a bit of a neccesary thing to have in this weather lol
  9. i love that sound!!! personally it sounds like the chronosphere noise from red alert lol
  10. as soon as i get the remaining parts for the 6 speed conversion, i'm gonna try and get it all sorted out in one expensive hit. shame whifbitz can't get the parts otherwise it would have been finished weeks ago.
  11. white smoke. from the end of the exhaust/backbox. when i start it up and leave for 30sec, then switch off engine. now the exhaust is still steaming and is very hot, bit of white smoke still emerging. when the engine has just started up there is a lot of white smoke exiting. when i have turned off the engine, 5 mins later the exhaust has cooled down.
  12. ok when i start my car up, even idling for around 30sec, it looks like its getting incredibly hot very very fast. the temp guage doesn't increase, even in normal driving (just above halfway) but the exhaust still continues to smoke/fumes for 5 minutes after just on startup then shut off after 30 secs. is this normal on a single turbo setup?
  13. i think they only do it cos of the sound it makes and maybe 1/2 a bhp more lol. how come birdcatcher blowers dont suck in so much crap then?
  14. just a quick question about air filters.... a few people i know just take the filter off the end of a custom pipe or aftermarket one and say no muck/dirt can get inside as theres no direct contact with the outside. now i think this is complete bollox as there must be particles it can suck in and ruin the engine. does anyone run nowdays without a filter?
  15. off ebay a few years back called Advanced fibreglass fabrication- not very good and couldn't find a beginners one lol
  16. glad to hear your ok, but fuck me u maust have hit that hard!!! i was just about to take mine for a spin as i havent used it in a while but now i think i'm safe at home till the weather is better.
  17. ok now i see! person i bought them off i also bought lower boot rubbers and i didn't realise they were different till i just looked- only have one bolt fixings instead of 2 bolts- all makes sense now..shame they forgot the single bolt
  18. the problem i always have is getting a smooth edge afterwards. sanding it down jsut exposed a lot of the fibres, this was with thin layers tho. ended up just using a lot of filler primer on some bits if i just wanted to build up a shape or something....i'm not very good at this stuff lol
  19. ok ive replaced the lower boot rubber mounts but i have no idea where to put the upper ones. sounds a stupid question as most on ere will say "look for the old ones" but my boot lid doesn't have the interior plastics surrounding the electrics etc, and the bare metal doesn't have any upper rubbers. is this because it attatches to the plastics or am i missing something. anybody got a pic of where the upper rubbers go?

  21. ok ive tried fibreglassing a few bits before like holes in plastic pipes etc. but after watching this dvd i bought about boot installs etc the fibre glass they use is completely different to the stuff i used. mine was really thin cloth stuff which takes loads of layers just to get a few mm thick. the stuff these people were using was like big wet mushy stuff which covered everything straight away, difficult to describe lol. but after like 15 min it was about half a foot thick and was nearly hard. does anyone know what this stuff is called (type of fibreglass) as i can only find sheets of the stuff.
  22. wouldn't it be nice if another car company bought the rights to re-release the supra. same spec and everything..maybe some improvements. an australian company did this to the mk1 golf as it was such a big hit and sold loads more, few years ago mind.

NSX or Escort Cosworth imho. ive never driven an NSX but ive driven my dads 350bhp cossie and its soooo nice to drive. drives just like a normal car but handles and goes like nothing else ive ever driven. cars got its own individuality about it and is just fun to drive anywhere....apart from some exagerated speed bumps...
