check my garage for pics....not the smashed ones lol

hi, i'm replacing my veilside front bumper (Cheers from the crowd lol...) with a standard one which i have just ordered. problem is it didn't occur to me at the time if the bumper needs to be modified because of my ott intercooler (see in my garage for pics) anybody thinks it'l need much work or a straight swap?

yeah i can see what u mean, thats just a bit of bin liner making it look wierd. the roofs fine. made me run out and double check the car then lol.

i got good quote from someone my dad knows who will do a good job- some of his bodywork repairs are amazing so i went with him. i'l sell it after its fixed and get something a bit cheaper to run as i'm thinking about getting a house with my g/f soon.

for the few days after it had been fitted with the new getrag 5sp box (before the crash) its was running brilliantly- so much better than the old one anyway. 1st gear running on single has a massive lag, 2nd it spins, 3rd it spins, 4th it finally gets grip and 5th is just a joke speed wise...licence crippling. all in all for daily driving its a pain at first but then when you get used to it its fine, apart from the 1st gear lag. i was driving it a month before the old gearbox exploded, then took six months to get a new one and all other new transmission parts but well worth it. drove it 3 days before the crash

are you implying this job is not being done by a pro because he's quoting me cash in hand.....? cos he's a mate of my dad and does all my dads vehicle repairs at work so he's doing me a favour by doing it much less than someone else would quote.

just got a quote off one of my dad's mates who is fantastic at body repairs and after inspection its only panel damage and a new rear light casing and back window. £1500 cash to fix it which in my eyes is fantastic. so i'm going to get it fixed then sell it on once its finished. if anybody is interested in buying it in the future pm.

i'm gonna try and get pics up for monday when i go back to work as thats where its stored at the moment.

As many of u are aware, my supra is now in a bit of a state (i will post up pics soon as ive just got back off holiday) first i'm going to see if i can get a few quotes around how much the repair would be (as apparantly its not a total write off as i thought it would be...) so that i can at least sell it with the knowlege of how much the repairs would cost the buyer etc. ive already had some interest off a few people on ere about buying it for parts, whole car etc but as i'm not mechanically minded i wont be able to break any of it. i will get back to any inquires but please take in mind that i will have to get a few repair quotes first so i no i'm not going to be robbed lol. pm me about any inquires and i will try to get back to u asap, thankyou

that was in my mr2, not my supra so u can cut all "bullshit" files u unhelpfull pratt. u seriously havent got anything better to do then to slag off a poor guy who's just lost everything when everyone else is offering support.

i was going round 30-40 mph as ive just come off a roundabout but all i saw was headlights coming towards me past some other vehicle so i didn't really have time to do n e thing but swerve

yeah...bout 10 grand down...no supra....a leaking MR2 from 1989 to replace it.....and no pay-out...i'm really living the dream ere lads... i'm gonna av to sink to a new low a buy a 300zx tt aint i.............

NO I'M NOT!!! my car was off the road 4 6 months AFTER insuring with adrain flux. i cancelled that- then i WAS going to insure it with Greenlight but i cos i didn't know if i was keeping it my dad suggested insuring it with him for a month as he can swap cars all the time and i would be paying a fortune if i cancelled it after a month or so. n e way that is why i never took the greenlight policy out, even though i would have if i decied to keep the car. so don't go sayin stuff u av no idea about mate

OH MY FU*KING GOD!!! just spoke to my dad and he failed to mention to me that it was only insured on TPTF!!!!! I'm fu*king screwed!!!! for fu*k sake!!! thats me done!!! anyone wanna buy the car cos i'm absoulutly screwed and my supercar life is officially over!!!!

i would do a transplant etc but i have the mechanical knowledge of a cup-cake so if i do decide to buy the car off the insurance it will prob be up for sale/parts but someone will have to sort it out for me as i have no idea what to start at. i wouldn't even know the value of what the parts are worth???

now to find another supercar on a budget..........

just got off the phone to police and as normal they don't really give a toss as according to them, ive got no witnesses outside the car or spectating, i couldn't recognise the vehicles involved and because of that the most they can do is put up a "witness poster" near the site if anybody saw......at quarter to 7 in the mornin...not fu*kin likely

i'm gonna see how much i get for it first as the last thing my dad will wanna hear about is me buying another supercar lol.....

its strange, the car runs fine except for a small sqeaking from somewhere.... all the engine etc is all intact and not a spot of damage at the front except the front bumper

nope...he's more concerned about how this claim will effect his insurance- he's got about 200 vhicles so it shouldn't that much- the two other ppl in the car were ok. as my dad said to me on the phone "it was gonna happen sooner or later".......git

well the thing is about the insurance.... my dad put me on his company insurance for a month so that i could see if i wanted to keep the car (rather than taking out my own policy i have to pay loads if i cancel halfway through) anyway my dad's screwing now i'm told by my sister as i haven't seen him yet, so knowing him he won't care what i say, he'l just think is all my fault and i will get fu*k all for the car......i'm not looking forward to sorting this out....

ive only had the car back 3 days after 6 months of work, and this is the first time ive really taken it out. i will add some pics when i get myself sorted.
