its one of those "heads up" moments as i heard the exhaust, the skidding, and the fact that he wasn't going that quick so i could move in time. if i'd been a bit lower hanging down off the rope it would have been a bit painful to say the least. i tell you what if he had taken me out to the degree i could just about walk i would have put my chainsaw across his face! good thing i'm only 5.6ft lol

Ok i'm a tree surgeon so bare with me on this... up a tree today and its icy and snow is still everywhere. just finished pruning it and in the process of sliding down the rope to the ground. we have cones out and a load of health and safety stuff all over the ground stopping cars etc. i get about 7 ft from the ground when some idiot decides to give it some in his M3 about 20yrds away from my coned out area. he completly looses it, straight through the cones....towards ME!!! I'm thinking "Fuck ere we go". I manage to kick off the tree and push myself away (still hanging by my harness on the rope) as the car spins sideways below me. ive managed to run up the windscreen and over the roof...just, the car bounces off the tree and into the side of my wood chipper. my groundsman at the time has seen i'm ok and started laughing his head off.....very helpful my mate is i slide down to give the guy, lets say, a harsh talking too as he gets outta his proper mashed car. he was appologising like mad but i wasn't exactly in the mood for excepting it at the time. My chainsaw which was hanging off my harness had gone through his windscreen as it was the first thing the car hit. bent the chainsaw bar but nothing major. A few people rushed over as a few were watching me work from there houses to see if i was ok and a few started to phone the police. Just as were looking at a massive amount of damage to his car and only a few scrapes on my chipper, another car looses it in the same place as this guy and drives straight into the side of the M3 at about 5 mph!! at this point me and my mate are in absolute stitches. the police came and the first guy was taken away as there were a few witnesses confirmed he was driving like a twat and the other guy just drove off after being told to slow down. the guys M3 looked written off as nearly all sides were crumpled. my mate got some pics on his phone so i'l try and get them on ere later. apart from nearly being killed it was quite funny

its a 5 speed man to a 6spd conversion not an auto..unless it has the same parts...yhis is why i need to know every detail possible lol

well its from international car spares. up north so miles away from me unfortunatly but they sound pretty compitent in what they do. the whole car has just come to them and only the engine has been sold elsewhere. i'l speak to the guy tomorrow and explain the parts i need as he only knows about my original list so far. i'l see if he can send me everything and guarantee it.

ok cheers. just wanna be prepared for it going in. probably easier to just say "everything from the engine backwards" lol

it didn't load at first but now i see. cheers. shit thats a lot of parts! hope the rest doesn't cost that much. this is going to be a laugh trying to negotiate these parts down the phone to the breaker lol. i dont know why whifbitz failed to mention this when i asked them what i needed.

sounds a bit involved cutting and welding. the place i'm getting my box from has got a whole supra man tt undamaged for breaking so i'l try and get the bits from them. they owe my a discount now cos of the agro with the box so i'l think i'l take advantage of it. ok... gearbox clutch slave cylinder flywheel propshaft driveshafts lsd .... probably more lol

your probably right. just seem to be getting different conversion instructions from various sources at the moment. as long as i have the right parts before i take it there then i have no worries. the tran/axel number ends in a B. just whifbitz only seemed to ask me about the diff and didn't really give me much instruction of what to get. feel a bit lost

rattle sounds like flywheel. if its aftermarket lightened one its normal for it to make a rattling noise

i was told by whifbitz that my "B" diff was ok to use. Drive shaft? thats a new one to add. i hardly understand a word of the 6spd conversion parts list lol.

i'm hoping so yeah. everything i can in one go to get it working up to a decent standard....ish lol basically i just want it not to blow up, break down, or cause me any major problems. if i need to have anything major doing eg: like turbo replacement i'l just run it on no boost until i have the cash to sort it

ok sorted out a deal with the parts place about my 6 speed and are giving me discount on other parts i need....sooooooo... ok mines a 5speed n/a-single currently got the 6 speed box and as far as i know these are the only other parts i need so could anyone add anything else as i want to try and get it all bought in one go 6spd box tt propshaft tt flywheel tt clutch slave cylinder tt clutch anything else as i dont want to be missing anything once i take it all to whifbitz by the way i did use search but all auto-6spd conversions

ive got used to the idea of my car being towed away every six months

i sold my 2nd car a celica st in mint condition to some guy about 2 1/2 years ago. i had stripped out the back seats and made an absoulutly awesome speaker enclosure out of fibreglass. like a giant bowl with 6 speakers circling the inside with a 14" sub right in the centre. loads of other ICE as well all around the car. neons as well between the speakers which was a bit chav but looked really good at the time. I was searching on ebay about a month later after selling and saw it up for sale. He had completely wrecked the car and all the inside was completely smashed up to pieces. it only sold for about £200 as a none runner but was in such a state. it just felt like all my time doing it was a waste. i got loads for the car off the guy who i sold it to but still felt like it was still my car a bit. real shame it was a really nice car

ok ive already searched on this but can't find anything accurate enough. for some reason my central locking isn't working. it hasn't got an alarm as current (on my to do list) but its not working on the key fob and also when i turn the key it only locks the door i use it in. i have to manually open/lock each door and ive changed fuses. the locks arn't stiff either. as the locks i assume are air powered is there any way of fixing this?

i wonder if the guy screaming "keep going" knew his car wasn't up to it:d
