Yeah I really need a built box to make this build worth anything mate! I know matt h still got his for sale as a kit, but I just can't afford it right now, I know the markets not great for supras at the moment so maybe I will just hold out for a while until I save some more pennies up!

I don't think if I spend a few more grand on a built box and new ecu I would even sell, it's not an option finacially now! A new box is only £100 odd and a new fic is £300 and the maps transferable, but boost would have to be turned down to continue with the set up. Which I would be willing to do to sell the car.

Jaime what do u think it's worth if I just buy a replacement fic and replace the stock auto box and turn the boost down?

No Its just not 100%, Its time as much as the money that's the problem!

Oh sorry I'm making this sound slightly worse than it is....the car runs and 90% of the time drives perfectly, ive just lost 4th gear and the ecu has an intermittent fault, but does need to be changed to resolve the problem. It's not like a none runner it drives and pulls like a bull on steroids....lol I'm still using the car almost everyday infact!

I've really enjoyed building my single after seven years of ownership however it was always on a limited budget and deadline! After what i would class as some really foookin bad luck, it now appears my budgets gone dry and I have no time left to do anything now as my wife drops in 7 weeks and I'm busy with baby projects! So the car was 100% finished.... Well if that's ever even possible! Unfortunetly my build now has a faulty aem fic fitted, which after speaking to aem last week won't entertain anything other than chargeable repairs, so that's pretty much written that off as scrap. So it basically will need a new ecu and re map to sort that problem out! It has now also after 600 miles mulled the original 60000 miles stock auto box, from the powerlevels I was running, but I'm not 100% sure yet? I had a good low millage spare but that's been robbed from my lock up so I cant even fit another one now untill I find a good sec hand one now! So in a nut shell I just don't have the spare time or cash to finish the build of now due to higher priorities in life like babies and properties. I can put the car back in storage for a year or just sell it, either way I'm totally gutted! I'm honestly thinking of just selling it cheap for someone else to re finish it off so it can be used and enjoyed once again. I'm not going to brake it for spares that's for sure, it would be like disecting your own child.....lol I've spent thousands and thousands on this car, it has a great spec so I'm sure I would get a fairly good price for it? It just needs a few more thousand spending on it to make it bullet proof with a new ecu and built autobox :-( I'm thinking if I could get 11-12k I would sell it, is this realistic in the current climate? Thoughts please guys. Cheers

What power could this take with an upgraded clutch? Would it be anygood for my single build and what else do I need to convert from a Jspec auto??

I know mate I'm gutted, I'm even going to see Keith this week to pick my new seats up from him!

Actually had one of these as a spare for my build, but found out that either my old mans thrown it out or some ones robbed it from my lock up, so pretty pissed off now! I'm after a stock Jspec auto box with low millage if anyones got one up for grabs, cash waiting ;-) Cheers Matt

It could be a quick fix, does seem strange? I better get looking for a new box as my spares been robbed, gutted!

Mate I'm not a complete idiot.....lol It's got a massive 19 row mocal cooler for the auto box, I've completely over engineered my build from the start, but the gearbox was always going to be the weak link on my build. My box was strong and never missed a beat when it was twins 409bhp bpu, it's not even done 60000 miles yet!

As a few of you know I went single a while ago, but have the stock auto box. When I went to use the car this week, I put it into drive and it kinda made a large clonk and lunged into gear on my driveway, I didn't really think that much of it until I started to drive off and it was almost slipping to start with like it wasn't ingaged in gear, it then found 1st but wouldn't change up in normal drive mode from first? So I had a play putting it into 1st and 2nd manually and it changes up and down but is jurky not smooth like normally? It appears now that I can only drive it with the Manu button on and only get 3 gears it doesn't go into overdrive at all? I had the filters and gearbox oil changed less than 600 miles ago when I went single. I was hoping the stock box could handle my power setup, but maybe I have toasted it allready? Has anyone heard of this problem before and have I fooked the autobox on 600 miles and 520lbft of power already......lol This could get expensive changing gearboxes every 600 miles!!!

black one could be a uk spec one, was mint, not seen any since......lol The silver stock one is from newark rd with black wheels, seen it parked up at a house a few times now. No ones on here which is a shame we could have a really good meet in lincoln.

really sorry guys, i forgot to say i couldnt make it! Cars having to have a new ecu fitted, so gutted really. Looks like it was a great meet and great weather, maybe ill make the next one.

i hope so mate, these were provisionaly sold, but the guys just decided to sell his car! these are as good as new now, but i understand 650cc inj would be better for your build fella.

Long story but basically I bought these as 650cc drop Ins, after sending them to be flow tested they turned out to be 850cc ones, way to big for a fic and I had to source a modified stock rail to fit them. The rail has been machined to fit the drop Ins, I'm also throwing in a fuel dampner mate so a good easy set up! I can sort some pics out Sunday, nothing to see really fella there cleaned and tested by afr and ready to go !
