Just thought I would share some new info on my set up from Ryans new map for a comparison as its an interesting topic at the moment to what's a fast street car set up. Original info: ************ GT30 ********* GT35 ******T67DBB**** 3000rpm....120bhp 200lb....112bhp 200lb....135bhp 235lb 3500rpm....180bhp 260lb....210bhp 308lb....185bhp 280lb 4000rpm....310bhp 405lb....385bhp 510lb....300bhp 400lb 4500rpm....410bhp 460lb....485bhp 560lb....500bhp 480lb (all reach peak torque 4600-4700rpm approx) 5000rpm....480bhp 505lb....530bhp 560lb....560bhp 585lb 5500rpm....500bhp 475lb....555bhp 540lb....595bhp 560lb 6000rpm....xxxbhp xxxlb....575bhp 504lb....608bhp 530lb New info based on My GT30R running 1.2 bar 474.3bhp and 490ftlb. ************ GT30 ********* GT35 ******T67DBB**** 2600rpm....124bhp 238lb xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 3000rpm....148bhp 252lb....112bhp 200lb....135bhp 235lb 3500rpm....252bhp 392lb....210bhp 308lb....185bhp 280lb 4000rpm....378bhp 490lb....385bhp 510lb....300bhp 400lb 4500rpm....420bhp 490lb....485bhp 560lb....500bhp 480lb (all reach peak torque 4600-4700rpm approx) 5000rpm....448bhp 476lb....530bhp 560lb....560bhp 585lb 5500rpm....462bhp 448lb....555bhp 540lb....595bhp 560lb 6000rpm....474bhp 400lb....575bhp 504lb....608bhp 530lb Now if I change a section of my exhaust and had water injection to keep the EGT's down, the boost could be increased and things would get really interesting, taking the car into the 550-600bhp mark and with even more torque! Ryan managed a run over 500bhp with my set up but was concerned about EGT'S so mapped it down to safe levels with the current set up and said the car drove like stock and spooled instantly!!

I forgot to say that's 500ftlb of torque at 1.2 bar ;-) -

You about Saturday launch for a meet mate?? -
Well what turned out to be an interesting morning to say the least, turned out very nice!! Ryan finally got to the bottom off the original gear box problem, which was a faulty throttle body (nut missing from the tps) so the car thought it was doing 3000rpm when it was prob doing 7000rpm between gear changes. So well done for saving my new gearbox mate! To start with I thought it was to much power, then a local garage said the gearbox only had half the fluid in it, looks like everyone was wrong it was just a nut! So anyway Ash stripped parts from his own car to sort this (new throttle body) Then Ash ended up having to give Ryan his own AEM Series 2 to fit to my car, along with his sensors and part harness!! What a legend that's all I can say, poor Ash's car looks like someone must of burgled it in the end, top bloke! So after a few shinanigans this morning, Ryan finally got sorted and got the car mapped with great results! After the road test Ryan said it drives like stock with instant spool and loads of torque. The car produced over 520ftlb of torque and over 500bhp, Ryan safely mapped it down to 477bhp @ 1.2 bar for now with 500ftlb of torque! After speaking to Ryan and Ash yesterday they think with a few tweaks on the Exhaust system and methanol injection to keep the EGT's down at the top end, this set up could be good for a fair few more horses to get it towards the 550-600bhp mark, which is pretty impressive for a tiny turbo! I'll get the new dyno graph up as soon as I get it with a few dyno run vids too! Overall I'm over the moon with the results and can't wait to pick it up saturday morning. Tomorrow Ash is finishing off the new brakes and she's finished. Thx again guys for sorting my car out, can't recommend Ash at garage 786 enough, your car really is in safe hands with him and with Ryan mapping u always know your in the best hands!!

It's just harmless banter mate....but you started getting personal by involving my car and the fact it's for sale and there's nothing but problems with it, might well of just said don't buy this it's a bag of shite! Im doing the right thing spending loads of money to sort them out so it will be running perfectly ready for sale. That's enough banter for me for one day ;-)
-
Totally true mate, but wasn't aware of the issues at the time with the gearbox not having enough fluid in. This only came to light recently, I assumed it was the power at the time. But it seems what ever I say now is irrelevant, as your on a personal vendettas to just slate my car :-(
-
I'm not sure why, I'm just trying to say that my set up on the road for a fast street car is great, despite what figures and assumptions dictate to me. I'm honest and have a build thread about my car and everything that it's been through I have nothing to hide Jamie? The aem fic fault is/was intermittent so I had some great fun when it was ok, the box gave up after about 1000 miles due to having only half the oil in it needed, but thats all arrelavent to this post! If u bothered to read my posts and the for sale thread it states I'm spending another 3k on new ecu, gearbox and new uk spek breaks all round? These were problems but nothing to do with the set up when it was all rock and roll, I'm not sure why u get involved sometimes, everyone gets so involved with figures when it's only really down to how the car drives! I know my car is a great street car and everyone that's been in it cant believe the acceleration, surely that's all that matters mate ;-)
-
Some great info there Ian, my housing and cams must play a key role to the way it drives then, I have no issues with surge on my set up on the road, I would love to take u out in it to show u what it's like in a road test. And thx again Jaime for your great input, my cars never been right for a few reasons mainly the faulty aem fic with an intermitant fault, not the cars set up! I'm having the new fcon fitted next week by Ryan so everything will be sorted ;-)
-
Ber Jesus, it's all a bit of banter and anyone that knows me knows I'm just messing about, don't take offense if I called u bell pipe! All im saying is on road looking at my gauges it looks like I'm hitting full boost at about 2000 revs and spools up insanely fast as it's prob the smallest single I have ever seen! Morning to u to Jaime ;-)
-
Hey up Ian, Dispite what u may think mate, I have this set up yes in real life not a typo, GT30R with a 1.06 a/r housing and all the rest! In first and second gear in the dry with good traction, I'm hitting boost by about 2000 revs. What does a 3rd gear run dyno graph have to do with my cars response/power in first and second gear? I've done the work, spent loads of money and time to get this the way i want it, trying various different set ups so the cars a fast street car, so dont give me that bollox mate, get back to your small diesel figures or ram your two pence worth up your arse u patronising bell pipe :-) :-)
-
In the dry it's great with traction, anything else it's impossible almost! If I remember on the garret website fir the new GTX range there's a full comparison of the range, which showed dynos from the same set up with the different turbos on to show the comparisons compared to the old gt range.

Going rates/prices for used supra parts oem and aftermarket ??

I think as well as having your heart ripped out doing it, you need alot of skill, time and space to break a car!! -

I'm not yet mate, it's the last thing I want to do after 8 years of blood and sweat, I'll be gutted to break it but looking at the classifieds it seems to be the norm for big spec singles these days :-( -

wallis replied to wallis's topic in Supra Chat
Im being advised to just break it, but wanted a rough guide to what everything's worth these days, jamesy's was prob a good example, but the prices were removed on the thread after the parts were sold. -
The GTX35R will also be very quick at spooling, just not as Quick as the Slightly Smaller GTX30R. There was issues with power surge to start off with for me with the original HKS .60 a/r fitted, but now it's really good with the current set up, EGTs are always monitored and there's never a problem, maybe runs slightly hotter than most set ups but that's a result of insanly fast spoiling and the cast manifold ;-)
-
In the dry it puts you into Hyper space....lol Seriously it puts your stomach through your arse, but as I think Nic has mentioned, tyres, traction and suspension set up Is very important also! Wet and greasy roads are a complete no no, to much of a handful to say the least, like a greyhound on an ice rink :-) When u look at the figures for fast spooling street cars the torque is usually higher than the bhp and is a good indication it's going to pull like a train!

wallis replied to wallis's topic in Supra Chat
Lol...... All true especially about na engines, I think I'll get looking myself ;-) -
Wondering if anyone's broke a supra lately or has a list of what parts they sold or are going for etc? If not maybe worth starting one for people to use as a guide for selling parts new and used. I know I could root through all the for sale threads but I'll be there for ever!! Reason being I'm thinking of breaking my car in a month or so if it doesn't sell :-( Any help would be great I'm a bit out off touch with it all these days. For example: Part............................................ Price. TT Autobox..................................£150
-
If u want a fast street car go for the GTX30R.....bonkers spooling defo fastest spooling turbo out there, good for 550bhp+ At the moment I've got a HKS GT30R with an 1.06 a/r housing with cast T4 manifold with internal wastegate, HKS 264 in/ex Race Cams and I hit boost under 2000rpm, it's insane my supra is by far the fastest spooler I've seen! I never wanted a car that does 200mph just a super quick street car through the first 3 gears ;-)
-
I would think £15k + but there's not much of a market out there for these kind of cars at the moment, GLWS if u go ahead ;-)
-
oh I !! Can't beat a bacon buttie mate ;-)
-
will have to have another one when I get my car back in a few weeks ;/)
