  1. HF rubbing compound is also rebadged G3 i think.....its smells exactly the same in my experience, HF is more expensive tho for less.
  2. Rotary polisher FTW (1500 - 2000 rpm), saves all the hard work, 5-10 minutes and your done. I did this on my run abouts plastic lights using some G3 compound (BE CAREFUL to not rotary your paint work tho!! G3 is harsh and only for fresh or thick new paint) and it worked a treat. (My advice mask out your paint work, before you even begin!)
  3. I had some the other day at some Cambridge services, i like it. Plus you get a really cool glow in dark style bottle, looks great on the desk!.
  4. Well, i have to say mines really really strong, probably just needs adjustment. Either that or the cables stretched by someone putting it up to hard........thats the other option.
  5. My god, surely the CAN respray is a wind up. If it isnt as wind up, then why dont you just do this. 1. Buy a cheap tent begoda type thing like that use for BBQ's 2. cheap compressor (25l) (~£100) and a cheap gun, (£10-15) 3. invest in some 2litres of paint in the colour you want + 5l thinner. I hate to think what this must cost in rattle cans and it will be as streaky and patchy as hell. Spray it HALF properly and in HALF the time, theres no way cans will turn out good. Im doing a garage based respray at the moment on a smart car, but im using the proper gear and its still tricky to get a mint mint finish, you havent got a chance outside). Are you going to clear coat it? if not fair play, but if you are, no chance of a good finish (Flys, dust, temperature changes, it will be very pot holed and with a can respray you need to cut it back to with an inche of its life to get anywhere near a reasonable finish, which means lots of coats and lots of CANS). I always admire DIYers, im one myself, but there are certain things which are best left alone if your not going to invest in the facilities to do it. Ill eat my words if you prove me wrong, so i throw down the gauntlet. Si
  6. No worries mate, just testing my eye lol. So many cow boy resprayers out there. Even on my car which i had done by a very reputable company has marks in very minor places under the clear and varying paint depths (looking at it with a half trained eye now). Si
  7. Has it had a respray on the rear offside back wheel section? looks like some orange pealing going on there, which you just dont get from the factory. Just curious, ive been doing shit loads of spraying recently .......just wanna see if ive got my eye in. p.s Id like to get in the car all stealth, crank it up, and drive off super quick, cat would be owned....
  8. Driving past Shell petrol station, you gave it a little bust sounded nice. I was in the Clio on that day (dark blue, everything lol) Si
  9. Poort blighter!, the middle pedel is your friend!!. You had all this time to watch him doing this, couldnt you have braked? (a little??)
  10. Cheap Air conditioner unit and 19" TV, you can tell the rents you'll scale down your TV and the cost of the air con will be off set.
  11. Welcome to the club, always nice to see a new member excited for owning a Supra . Great looking car!
  12. Did you disconnect the lines when you changed the discs? (you didnt need to just curious). If not i dont see any need to bleed the system unless the brakes were duff before or somethings leaking.... Maybe you have a leaky piston? did you check for fluid leaks when you fitted the new pads and condition of piston seals / lines? The overflow of brake fluid is normal, but you should have taken the cap off when you did all the brakes, as you have pushed more fluid back into the system by pushing the pistons back to fit the new pads etc. Chances are you had topped it up once before, with worn pads thus theres too much in the system now. (Hopefully you wont have screwed the seal on the top up bottle) I do the brakes on all my cars, its pretty normal for them to be a bit light to start with as some pads have a protective coating which has to wear off first, but after a few stops they should be pretty good. (EBC pads are a classic for this) Check for fluid leaks, or bite the bullet and take it too a garage as suggested.....thats the safest option.
  13. Laphroaig (La-fro-aig hehe) Aberfeldy, Bunnahabhaian 25, would be other options (all the best ones are scotish! not irish IMO!!!!).
  14. Awesome retro pics!.....owned from new you must of loved it to keep it so long , or had a change in circumstanes lol
  15. I did the 360 when i did mine, lovely flappy padel shift lol.....but its a superb car.
