  2. Ive recently put T1-Rs on the front of mine and i must say im impressed. I used Black Circles (http://www.blackcircles.com/) and i found their price / service excellent!
  3. Did you get to the bottom of this? im having the same problem.
  4. All all, I get a good boost reading from my controller (which matches my boost gauge), but no matter what settings i put it wont raise the boost. I have both CATS out and a 52mm RR, which is giving about 0.94bar of boost as is. Controller wont raise this. I have the waste gate type set to : AC and everything seems to run fine and the car is quick but the boost is only 0.94 peak. Any suggestions? Simon
  5. Cheers, did you go with anyone? as im shortish on time as i go to Silverstone on the 14th.
  6. http://www.trackcover.com/track/premium.asp If not can anyone recommend anyone, the above lot seem V cheap.
  7. Well just incase anyone else is looking/ thinking on one of these gauges i thought id add a little writeup. I ordered one from ebay and as the item is in the US, it took about 2 weeks ish to arrive. It said on the box i needed to pay £12 for import tax before it was delivered, but it actually was delivered without me paying so i dont know what went on there. So by that logic , the boost gauge i bought was £30, but you could be looking at £42 all in worse case. Anyway the 52mm gauge was very well packaged and came with clear simple instructions. Its a mechanical gauge with back light (7 diff colours and colour memory) and fits absolutely perfectly into the clock space using the brackets provided in the box. Having already had a Blitz IColor t.r boost controller with an accurate reading i had something to compare this gauge against. Im currently pulling 0.84 bar (peak) in my car as its stock (both cats) but this new gauge absolutely matched this reading and showed 12 psi. I would really urge anyone whos thinking about buying an "auto gauge" or other cheaper boost gauge to give these "glow shift" gauges a try as the quality and accuracy is excellent and they look really nice aswell. http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/ (or search ebay) Im definately going to be buying more. Cheers, Si
  8. Name down, will most likely bring mrs if anyone else is.
  9. Hi All, Ive been a Supra owner for near on 2 years and im yet to meet some Mids members, so would it be cool if me and the g/f come to this. Si
  10. You s*d, that got me lol I even checked the start / middle and finish to make sure it wasnt!!
  11. I shall keep my eyes peeled for that one, i clearly dont get out enough Hehe
  12. Cheers, just wanted to confirm that
  13. Hi all Very quick and probably stupid question!. Im fitting a new boost gauge and it says "For cars with a negative earth only". Its a mechanical gauge with back light. Now what i was going to do was wire the power for the backlight off the cigarette lighter both positive and negative wires. (I already have boost feeds done for boost controller etc) But is the Supra negative earth? (i.e - battery terminal goes to chassi) and would wiring it like this be ok? Cheers Simon
  14. Yeh ive got KR ones, and they are great.
  15. Fixed now!!, i had been stupid and miss read the diagram for the connector blocks. It would appear by fluke i had tapped into something related to RPM but not the actual RPM signal. For forum reference, i can confirm its Pin 58 on block B (RPM) and Pin 2 on block A (Speed). Also for the blitz icolor i found that to get the speed reading perfect it had to be set on the following , 4 - Pulse reading and in MPH (Even tho my cars a JSpec i would of thought the ECU read in KPH but infact not) I installed my FCD today and all is working well, hitting the stock 0.8 bar constantly now, so cant wait to fit decats, plugs and fuel pump thats been gather dust in my garage. Cheers all, Si
  16. Problem is its tons out, like 1000rpm ..........and im still getting 0 for speed signal It all seems to be wired correct
  17. Its about 200 off at idle (it says 380 ~ 420) and its seems to be off more at higher rev ranges. There are 3 settings on the Boost controller for th tacto, 3 cyclinder, 4 cyclinder , 6 cyclinder , and 3000rpm above or something. If i put it on 6 cylinder as it should be the idle reads about 110 the only way i can get it half close is with the 3000rpm one. Cheers, Si
  18. It was the same when i bought mine, i sent my old one back got the refund so its worth doing.....i think they recycle them in some way.
  19. cheers, still at a loss why the signal is off for RPM and no Speed signal. Wonder if anyone can confirm the pins are correct ive used.
  20. No i have the FCD ready to go in, but again it wires to the ECU....and im worried it might use speed signal again which im not getting a reading for. I checked the continuity so i know its wired ok. Cheers
