  1. I just got one of these exhausts fitted and I love it, the noise is amazing and it fits perfectly. good luk selling it. just to help you with the price side I payed £350 for mine second hand but it was used and had taken a bash from a speed bump (all cosmetic though) hope that helps
  2. because it wasnt steady it was creeping up to that boost and would go further if fuel cut didnt happen. the rr is keeping a nice steady boost level. So can I just buy a EBC and up the boost? will the EGT's be ok with the second cat in and a rr and then turning the boost up to say 1.1 bar?
  3. I just fitted my rr (2") I still have my second cat aswell but Im only getting 13psi (0.9 bar) I gues Il take it back out and file the hole to 2.1" and see what happens as Im also after 1 bar steady. Pain the bum this rr fidling business but Im glad to see someone has eveything working
  4. right iv just fitted my 2" rr but when I got under the car evey exhaust joint I payed someone to do was leaking [ANGRY][/ANGRY] so I had to undo them all a paste them up and put them all back together, wot a pain in the arse but there all gas tight now anyway I still have my second cat in and I had runaway boost, it kept rising to 18 psi then fuel cut occured but now I have my rr in aswel it has brought the boost down to a stready 13psi (0.9 bar) in every gear which is good, but its a little low now:( I want about 14.5 psi (1bar) I think I need to file some of the rr away to make a bigger hole but does anyone know by how much?
  5. I know the most common place to put it is just after the second cat or decat but does it matter where it goes? a restriction is a restriction isnt it . . . . . and I thought the further away from the engine the better so I thought I would put it in the next joint back (between the back box and the mid section of the blitz exhaust) plus I didnt want it just after the second cat as it may cause more heat build up within the cat itself..... oh im confused. all I want to do is bring my boost down to about 1 - 1.1 bar without stupid EGT's
  6. anyone Im off work today and have all the bits to put the rr in but im just not sure about the above.
  7. hi guys. I recently fitted a nur spec r and first decat and Im overboosting to 18 psi. I have a 2" rr but can I put it in the first joint from the blitz back box? thats the joint on the bit of pipe from the back box. or does it have to be further back. thanks. Also is it ok to have a rr fitted when the second cat is still in and does a rr change the sound of the exhaust. I know theres alot of questions but I need this sorted. Thanks for the help guys
  8. I just fitted another thor fcd and its still dicky back it goes again.
  9. Iv only put my foot down once to check the boost levels after I had the bits fitted, it went to 18ish psi and I thought I better not do that again. Im going to fit a thor FCD so fuel cut should come back on at 1.25 bar. You never know my gauge may be dicky. (wishful thinking)
  10. Im in the same boat, I have just fitted a first decat and a Blitz Nur spec r and I hit 18-20 psi then fuel cut occurs so dont know what final boost will be (I have a thor FCD Im fitting tomorrow so will find out) but I thought I wouldnt need a rr either. I hope boost doesnt go too high. Can you fit the rr anywhere in the exhaust system? I was thinking the first joint from the back box for ease or is this a no no? I was under the impression I would only hit about 1bar with the second cat still in but unfortunatly I was mistaken I will see what hapens tomorrow
  11. about 2 hours ago I just got a load of bitz fitted today, one of which is a Blitz Nur Spec R and I cant get enough of it
  12. Thanks andy, and yeah I love it, it looks and sounds brilliant, im well pleased. I just need my FCD to finish it off so I can take it for a drive, hopefully it wont cut on me at 1.25bar (when I fit the thor FCD) or it will be back to the shop and some fiddling with a rr I think. but fingers crossed the boost wont go any higher. And thanks again andy
  13. hi guys, I have a TT and Iv just got a Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust fitted (bought second hand from Andyhannah, great guy ) along with a Whifbitz first decat pipe, NGK grade 7 iridium plugs, new fuel filter and a walbro fuel pump (all from whifbitz. Paul gets a as well for his excellent service) and Im well happy, I looked at the car and went then started it up and went :d what a sound the soop makes, its better than I thought it would be. I took it for a ride, put my foot down and the boost went to 18psi and then I hit fuel cut (thats a bit scary) but I have a thor FCD on its way so that will solve that. Is it normal to get that sort of boost with the second cat still in? anyway heres some pics and I would defenatly recomend the Nur Spec to anyone, You gotta love that sound and it looks just as nice. anyway il stop rambling now.
  14. :rlol: I found that very funny but I hope you find what your looking for. It must of been a right pain when you relised your dog ate it, my dog usually eats plastic and rope:blink: Anyway I hope you find that part if not just remember where the dog goes to the toilet and get the gloves on.
  15. I have a 2003 MG ZS 1.8 for sale, heres some pics. ~Im going round the local garages on tuesday to see what they will just buy it off me for because my soops not getting used till I sell this car anyway Im hopeing for around £4000 but Il have to wait and see
  16. the thor FCD raises the factory fuel cut from 1.0bar to 1.25 bar and from what iv read a stock SMI in good nik should be fine for BPU but I would have thought your BHP figures would be higher than that or is that rear wheel BHP figures youve posted. Anyway hope that helps
  17. Mmmmm. I may keep the second cat as 1.0bar sounds good enough for me. Iv already fitted a walbro and im going to get the spark plugs changed at the same time as the exhaust to NGK Iridium's (Grade 7) I also have a thor FCD to install. So once thats done I should theoretically be safley boosting 1bar+ and it should pass emissions, is that correct? Thanks for all the help guys:thumbs: One other thing. Can you increase the boost with an EBC to 1.2 bar with the second cat in place or will the EGT get far to high? Thanks again
  18. I liked that bit so the answer is no, I need at least 1 cat. Thanks very much. I also read while searching that its easy to acheive 1bar with the second cat left in. is that correct?
  19. hi guys, Iv searched about but there is no clear answer to my question. I have a 93 twin turbo I am getting my Blitz Nur spec R fitted on thursday. However I also have both decat pipes and a 2" rr but so far Im only going to remove the first cat as I understand I will still reach 1bar+ with the second cat in. I would be tempted to go full decat but (and this is the bit I dont know the answer to) will my 93 soop pass an emissions test with no cats? as far as Iv read there has been alot of debate on this but I thought I would ask and see if anyone knows for sure.
  20. I would like to insure with sky for the above reasons. ( agreed valuation, like for like etc.) however I am curently insured with elephant and it costs me £1110 expensive I know but Im 22 with only 1 years no claims, no accidents/convictions and that was the cheapest I could find (its a tt). I rang sky for a quote as i had heard good things and dont get me wrong I think its great there is an insurer that does agreed valuation and like for like etc with these cars but it was going to cost £1591 with them thats £481!!! more than elephant. Its just a little to much extra to pay. If there was only a say £100 difference I may have gone with sky for the peice of mind but at the minute its just too much im afraid
  21. looks like ill have to wait till may
  22. oh bugger, I work till 5 on sundays, how long are people there for?
  23. Thanks, but I need to be a memeber to look at most of that (which I might just do) where is the meet on the first sunday every month? and what time? Thanks steve
  24. Hi guys, I always see meets on here for further south and was wondering if there is any meets anywhere in the north east?
  25. Hi there and welcome. Where abouts in the North East are you? Im from Newcastle myself. If you have a budged of 8K Vine place have one at that price. its a silver tt auto with 46k miles http://www.vine-place.co.uk/splash.htm I got my car from there. very helpful and good quality cars but Iv had bad experience with there body shop so dont recommend any body work from them but there cars are good
