  1. Ive asked them so send it to Ibrar to check it over, if he can repair it properly then fair enough. Otherwise they will pay for a new alloy. Ibrar, if you see this, the guy rang you a moment ago, I'll call you myself to discuss it also. Thanks
  2. They are offering to send away the alloy to be repaired. Would you accept this or demand a new alloy?
  3. Please give some urgent advice. I am at a tyre fitter and they have taken the tyre off with bead breaker machine which has gouged the silicone where the split rim joins in several places, it has also gouged grooves in the aluminium and they have snapped the valve. There are gouge marks around the inside of the wheel and where the valve seals. They cannot get the correct valve and are offering to put a different one in for now but im concerned 1. The rim could split. 2. the gouging in the metal will throw it out of balance. Can you suggest what course of action to take? Thanks
  4. Had that with mine, was filling up the overflow bottle, ended up being the Rad Cap, worth replacing for 12 quid, all sorted now.
  5. Hello? as stated above, I'll take this if it suits requirements above. PM me payment details etc. Ta

    Oil Leak

Ok will try that. If i take the filter off, will I lose a lot of the remaining oil?

    Oil Leak

How do I tell if its tapered or parallel? They are defi sensors for my Defi guages, and I just screwed them in tight.

    Oil Leak

2 weekends ago I serviced the car and fitted new oil filter and a sandwich plate with my oil pressure and temp. Everything was done up tight, and the right seal on the plate etc. However, I've just noticed it dripping underneath and nearly all of my new valvoline is gone. If its tight why should it leak? not sure what to do. thanks
  10. If it fits a manual TT J-spec pre-facelift and has filter in it, I'll take it.
  11. What benefit does this give then? does it bolt straight on?
  12. Ok, been for a less spirited drive, normal driving, off boost where possible, temp reached a max of around 100. I gave it a short blast and it didnt make much difference. Earlier it was a WOT blast down some twisties at full boost. Does it seem ok?
  13. But its only BPU, @ 1.2 Bar, surely I shouldnt need that? I do have an FMIC and Apexi Filter though, thinking intake temps?
  14. Just finished putting it all together. After going for a spirited drive, the following are my readings for oil Oil Temp Max 125 Degrees Oil Pressure max 8.2 Bar Temp seems high? anyone advise? Engine is very hot. Thanks
  15. As I understand it, its just a precaution. Our cars are getting on in life, and if the pump is old and tired, your fuel could go lean and damage the engine. I understand the walbro we replace it with, probably isnt as good as a new original pump, but is fine for BPU, so for 80 quid, why risk it? Than again, I'm a sheep, baaaa lol
  16. You mention the odd marks, where are they? do you have close ups?
  17. Hmmm look nice, and only down the road. Whats the minimum you'd take? I heard 19's ruin handling a bit, anyone care to comment? Need new tyres, and alloys refurbed, so this could be a good idea, worried about the handling though.
  18. Maybe you could make it remote control, that would save a lot of weight lol
  19. Relocating Aircon to the boot eh.... Thats funny
  20. See what you mean lol... Probably easier for me to invest in new tyres and a refurb lol
  21. Just interested in pics because I dont know the alloys, I need the tyres was about to buy some, and my rims need refurbing, if they are good then it will be problems solved all round lol
  22. I have one.... Not selling it though lol
