  1. Sandwich place from Envy mate.
  2. Just fitted another 3 guages to my link controller, Oil Temp Oil Pressure Ext Temp (not fitted sensor yet) What should the oil temp and oil pressure be? it all looks pretty, but I dont really know what its telling me lol Thanks
  3. Ok, so if you can make one, I guess I'd just hack saw the pipe a little way back, and push in the new bit?
  4. How much would you charge to make one chris?
  5. Brake and Fuel line spanners, never use normal spanners, I learnt the hard way. A decent set of sockets. Decent rachets. Deep sockets.
  6. Oooohhh that looks interesting..... how do I make that?
  7. Yeah already removed all that, just the clips are a bugger, will try again when I've got the new bit. Bugger of a day, I've been out there since 9 this morning working, and this was the last job... was looking forward to a run... sob.
  8. How did you get the pipe from the clips that run along the underneath? its tight as buggery and I couldnt pull the pipe off them. Cheers Wonder if putting a flexible braided line in, would be a lot easier?
  9. I just tried to change my fuel filter, but the thread is buggered and I cant do it up, leaks fuel. Had this with my master cylinder and had to replace the whole pipe. Now, should I get another OEM?how much? Or should I get a braided line from the tank to the fuel filter? how much? who from? Thanks
  10. Dont worry, sorted it, thanks for not helping lol
  11. I've just bought a kevlar power enterprise aux belt, checked the size and the old one is the same size. Got the old one off no probs using a breaker bar on the tensioner pulley nut. I've put the new one on, but I cant get it over the last pulley, I've moved the tensioner pulley as far as it will go, i've tried getting it over the starter motor, then the tentioner pulley but everytime there isnt enough slack. What am I doing wrong? its as if it needs a few more cm to go on. Thanks
  12. Ok got a new cap from a local toyota dealer. Is it my imagination or could the car be more responsive now? seems pokier.
  13. Yes see that now, but what about the spring? can I just leave it in there?
  14. I've got one too, not on at the moment, I was told by a guy on here you need to stuff them with stainless wire wool otherwise they dont work properly.
  15. Ok after this I've been wondering how it all works, I'm learning a lot changing parts on my supe lol. This interested me, explains how the whole system works. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/cooling-system7.htm
  16. No it goes between the air intake and the engine.
  17. ok, further update. took cap off, there is a black washer that fell out as I took it off, put my finger in the hole and removed a smaller black washer and a metal ring. There is no spring? I guess its knackered ! If there is a spring, I guess its in the rad..... what will this do?
  18. Update on this after reading a bit, I've been out and felt the top of the rad and top rad pipe (got a metal one) both are still hot. top of engine is hot. Bottom rubber rad pipe is cold. If I squeeze it, I hear coolant going through the rad so maybe not blocked? Should the bottom pipe be cold? could the rad cap do this too? Thanks
  19. No, its the one it came with? does it make a diff?
  20. Hi Guys I've noticed after a few spirited drives around, that when I turn off the engine, moments later a loud bubbling/gurgling sound appears from the engine bay, on inspection the expansion tank is filling rapidly and bubbling violently. After about 10 mins of bubbling away, it suddenly goes back in the radiators. The level in the tank is also then lower than the max line, but I'd filled it a week ago to the max line. There is evidence that the tank has overflowed. The temperature guage reads normal, the engine bay is hot, but guess thats normal. What is the cause of this? BTW the expansion tank is the one I relcoated with the new one from Greddy when I got my FMIC. Thanks
  21. Is it a manual? If you have all the dash panels for a manual, are they the same for a TT6? if so, and in good condition, how much?
  22. I got a bit on my exerior paintwork and rubbed it off with a cloth, I noticed it made the paint seem in better condition, i.e had been polished etc. I thought about this, knowing it corodes paint, so decided to use it all over my Astra for a laugh I used a cloth on my old astra with some 5.1 I was amazed, my 10 year old astra now looks like its had a respray. Wouldnt recommend trying it though unless you do it quick
  23. Are these legal? got any pics? do they go straight on? no cutting?
