  1. Okay, I was happy with that... but now I am thinking that surely it must take into account what we have paid off of the mortgage? IE, the relative percentages invested after a few years would be much closer. Its getting complicated now and I am starting to think that it might be easier to just agree to her idea
  2. Didn't work for my parents. She took half the house and half his pension and now he has to move across the country just so he can afford to buy a place. Not really relevant, but I am still trying to look after myself, more than "us".
  3. I have saved over 20k and I dont want to lose that because I cant come up with a suitable contract. edit - forget it. I wasn't after relationship advice. I guess Ill just go along with whatever she wants
  4. lol thats a good point. Yeah, thats what I was trying to get at, but I cocked it up. So does everyone agree with this? If we sell the place, after fees are paid, whatever is left is split 5/6 to me and 1/6 to her? Thanks everyone so far :-)
  5. Me and the missus are buying a house in the not too distant future. I am going to be putting in about 5 times as much as her to the deposit. I know that we can do a deed of trust to say how the money should be split up if we were to split up, but I don't understand the maths. I *think* it should be that whatever we put in initially is multiplied by how much the house has increased in value, and any remaining profit is split 50/50. She thinks we should just get back what we have put in and any remaing profit should be split 50/50. My brain just goes to mush with all the figures, can anyone clarify it for me please?
  6. Not sure anyone cares, what with the arguments raging... But here is the other one http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=446533&postcount=71
  7. There was a supra on this site which was done up as that skunk 2 model. That looked sweet. I recall it being sold overseas though unfortunately.
  8. Okay, thanks. Looks like she'll just have to go the manufacturer. Cheers :-)
  9. My missus bought an MP3 player from Comet just under 11 months ago and it has stopped working properly. I said she should take it back to the place she bought it from and get credit against a more expensive model (original was a bit cheap). Anyways, Comet, instore and then the helpline have just palmed her off onto the manufacturer, saying they won't do anything, which means much more work for her (phoning the manufacturer, packaging, recorded delivery, waiting etc). Now I thought, the retailer has responsibility within the year. So, are they trying it on, or are they right in saying that they don't have to do anything? TIA
  10. I have been feeling a bit left out with all these storm threads so had a look on the old youtube. I thought this one was quite a corker. Love the way the camera man craps himself
  11. Is it at all possible that they didnt see your indicators? Could you get brighter bulbs?
  12. "This one goes to eleven." Class. "How much more black could it be? The answer is none, none more black" I'm still amazed at the accents, I thought they were all English!
  13. Also, is it not just a case of "different tastes"? We all like different things, some people think that fiats are the best cars on the road (for example).
  14. Yeah but music, like all art, is very subjective. I don't deny that you might be able to understand how to make it on some level. But if you don't like something, how can you understand what it is that makes it good, what seperates the great from the mediocre? For what it's worth I love a huge variety of music, from classical to rock. But my favourite is noisy dance music. It's an aquired taste, like everything unusual. I am a good example of a producer of the mediocre lol, I know how to sample a good sound such as a distorted kick drum, and put a big discordant offbeat stab, with a sample of an old famous pop tune. I play the keyboard too, so it's not like I don't know anything about music. But I can even see myself, that I don't have that extra genius that is required to make something really good. You can take a tune like Now is the time by Scott Brown, and try and say what makes it great. But if you could REALLY do it, you would be producing it yourself and making some money. Like, I say, if you think you can do it, write a tune and play it to a record label.
  15. Yeah, its easy for people that aren't into it, to say "I could knock that up in 30 mins". Please, please try it. And see what a record label thinks of it. You might make something which sounds similar, to you, but it really won't be. I tried for years to get a record released, had nearly 10k of studio kit and still didn't manage it. It's no different to me listening to some thrash metal and saying give me a guitar and an overdrive. pedal. If you aren't into a type of music, you aren't remotely in a position to understand how to make it [/soapbox] Don't forget that the macarena tune, was a pisstake, not a serious record.
  16. So is anyone gonna post more classic gabba, or is this the slag off HH thread? It wasn't all chipmunks you should know. I used to play Happy hardcore at a club in bracknell and my mate used to play gabber there, this was in '96. Man my life sucks compared to then..... Shall I start a thread about pills? lol edit - I do agree about the chav element. Though for some reason, 95% of them are the friendliest people in the world at raves.
  17. KFC, one of my favourite subjects. The new Wrapster is quite nice. Prefer a Zinger though. Have you tried the gravy though? mmmmmm and hot wings, oooh yeah...
  18. This is one of my favourite all time tunes of the style (ish). It really starts going from 1.30. In a club, it was something else. Actually sounds really slow now though! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNlUg8SrPlI
  19. Well 10 years ago, this was called bouncy techno/ gabba techno. I would imagine it's still called the same thing. It's a mainly dutch sound. If you like that sort of strength and style, you would almost certainly like some of the UK happy hardcore and freeform hardcore stuff which is quite similar.
  20. lol yes I saw you doing that in Reading yesterday edit - just seen that there was a meet last night lol I was just down there getting my kfc. thought it was a bit of a coincidence. I was right behind you in the red civic when you lined up against the green scoob.
  21. Looks great, nice to see something different. I love the matt look, any more pics?
