  1. 3 tonight The local council was putting them up a few months back and had Stuart Hall switch them on last Sunday.
  2. Thanks again Ian. When we moved over to the Enfield L85A1 (SA80) from the FN FAL L1A1 (SLR) 7.62mm it was a sad day for me, I loved that SLR. Many will argue that the replacement was lighter, the ammo was lighter so, you could carry more and that the re-coil was lighter too.....but, for me, the SLR was a proper rifle with a nice balance. I guess I'm getting old I read that we had to go to the german's (Heckler & Koch) to produce the upgraded L85A2, was this better than the original ? I had left the service before the A2 came into operation.
  3. I don't understand why this is not changed, any good person would not object to it. Oh, did I hear someone say human rights.....or some EU laws.....
  4. I was in Costco today and rememberd this thread, the unit shown in the photo on the left (big unit) is 3hp while the smaller unit on the right is 2hp

  7. Does anyone have any pointers/tips to owning your own firearm's in the UK ? I used to do a lot of clay pigeion & rifle shooting while in the military and had easy access to firearms but, never looked into owning my own. It's been some years since I left the service so, don't know where to start really....other than looking on the internet or finding my local club I guess ?? Are there any gun owners/club members with advice ? Thanks
  8. H you are getting slow....post #7 in this thread, I thought you would be at #2 Well done Mike
  9. Hehe, buy a scope.....it never crossed my mind I work for the global market leader in scopes but, our products are more at the bench level in R&D dept's than at the belt level that I was looking for. I think I'll start off small and work my way up..
