Well, I ordred the K499M Deluxe from Halfords online as it was reduced by £40 off it's normal price (£149) and way lower than anyother retailer. It should of been here yesterday, then today but, nothing....Called them up today and was told it's not on their website anymore and did I want another one....Looked on their site and found the K5.80M which, was £250 -> down to £180 and I got another £50 off plus free next day delivery for my hassle. I ended up with a K5.80M for the same money as the K449M

So, it's nothing to do with the Cam design/strength....it's how they are shipped which, is the issue.

Well, I got my HKS cams from a US trader while on business in US and they came in individual HKS boxes which, are double walled boxes. Very sturdy. My US supplier also boxed them up with air bags inside the outerbox so, no problems there. I then put then in the hold of the aircraft after a short trip via the US TSA department and they made it OK. My installer did not see any issues either.

Fit it ONLY if the paint shop can 100% match your Quicksilver. A miss match in paint would put me off more than if it had a scoop or not....IF I was looking for a stock car. You don't have stock wheels or exhaust so, it's not like you are trying to keep it totally stock is it

Standard price on t'ternet is ~£160-180. However, I have checked the Halfords stores from Liverpool to Lancaster to Bolton and Blackburn......ONLY the last two stores mentioned had one in...I reserved it and within 10mins they called to say that they had either been robbed or was a returned unit so, don't bother. All other Halfords stores say there is no availablity in the NW. :-( I might have to just for the K3.99M for £99 in the sale. (But, am holding out for the mo) I live down a dirt track now so, really need one at this time of year AND I want to order one of Pete's snow foams
