  1. I'm not blaming the TRD cap just, that I think the matrix was on it's way out anyway and that the increase in pressure only accelerated it’s demise.
  2. I seem to remember that Leon does fully clear lenses ? Only seen them on one car though!
  3. I did wonder if my TRD cap contributed to my Heater matrix going with the increased pressure before it would overflow. Stock is 1.1bar / TRD is 1.3bar as far as I can remember. I also have a small pipe split on me see pic. Do you think the TRD cap could have caused this with the extra pressure ? Seems logical..... Note: pic was taken 2 months before the Matrix went.

  9. Nice testing and conclusion Ian (No I'm not taking the pi$$ Terry ) I assume that you kept the stock cam gears in, right ?
  10. I have the CW inters (Fast Road) on mine (UK Car) and they are very good, no extra dust and no squeal (S/S lines and DOT 5.1). Chris R has the race spec CW pads (J-spec), he did a post on this......was well impressed BUT, the race ones do squeal a lot, so Chris R says. Edit: Correct Link http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3941&highlight=race+pads Talking MKIV tho! HTH
  11. OH FFS, it's all gone Pete Tong here so, I will not make it today. I really wanted to see the RSP of Scooter and that very nice Aero top! Sorry chaps. Next time

  13. UK cars only have Auto down - Just read it in the manual. Never knew that I had auto down
  14. Valvoline Synpower 5w50 is a popular one and I stick with it. The lack of response to this thread might be that these have been covered many, many times so, 2 mins with the SEARCH button would reveal what you are looking for. Want to look at alternatives for oil ? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8861&highlight=oil HTH
  15. Cheers man, you are a m8 Missing her during this fine weather.....damn right! I know it was only crashed 7 days ago but, before that, it spent a week at Toyota and 2 weeks at CW's so, I have been soopless for 4 weeks now. (Right in the middle of summer) I missed JAE last week and now TOTBII

  19. Sorry Chaps, been busy, but, will still be there in my Lexus 4x4. Thanks for the directions Phil
  20. T's famous DAT's are used around the world now, aren’t they T ? They made a big difference for me as my RLTC came set up for a 4 cylinder car It makes the TT much safer to drive in the wet IMO but, you still have to use your head....it won't save you if you try going WOT mid bend in the wet, you are just asking for trouble.
  21. Dave, I had the HKS R-type fitted by CW. He did a great job a usual. Things to consider when fitting a FMIC on UK Spec - It blocks the rad a lot but, I did not have any issues at all for the 2 days I had it, the amb temp on the M6 home was around 25-29 deg C that day and the car was fine but, did not drive at WOT. The FMIC does obstruct airflow or heat up the airflow to the AC cooler and so, the normal very cold AC was kind of cool ish, somthing I was not aware of before I purchased it so, if you really need a cold AC system then IMO a FMIC is not for you. The temp probe is affected as per this thread but, I was going to find it and relocate it. You loose the active spoiler and the front part of the undertray which, is incorporated into the active spoiler but, there is a mod you can do to fix this http://www.mohdparts.com/mohd_bottom_panel/install/index.html not sure if this can be done on the R-type though. The Auto box cooler which is located in the front passenger side air scoop on the F- bumper has to be removed to allow fitting of the FMIC, not sure of the issues, if any, this causes, I understand this is not on the j-spec. That's about it, I can not say anything about the performance of it as I did not have it long and did not test it. HTH m8
