  5. Is it leaking ? Mine was and the fins fell off when I touched it so, it cost ~100-150ish for Toyota to replace it.

Hi Neil, From the link Purpose: to disable the EGR system from injecting exhaust gases back to the intake system, also to stop the flow of hot gases inside the back of the head (egr cooler) that lead to problems with the rear cylinders valves overheating as proven is several supras. I got a FMIC fitted for that nice cool air and found that exhaust gases are pumped back in to the Intake Manifold Not heard of the valves overheating before though!
  7. http://www.mohdparts.com/egr_mods/ Why would you want to keep the EGR fitted if you blank off one of the plates ? is it because getting the second one out is a PITA ? Is there any downsides to doing this mod ? I have the engine out and the Intake manifold off at the moment so, think this might be a good time to get this done. Thanks

  9. Just read Oil in the water post... CW says "If the car is an automatic it will have had a transmission oil cooler in the bottom of it. " So, what's the reason UK Autos have the Air - oil cooler too ? Still need answers to 2,3,& 4 please
  10. I have done a search but, can't find it.... I remember reading that there is a cooler in the rad for the Auto cars. 1, Is this an Oil cooler ? 2, Is it in both jap and UK cars ? 3, Is it sufficient for a BPU car ? 4, When would you need to think about adding an additional oil cooler ? Ta

  13. I'm looking to purchase some Silicone hose for the top rad pipe but, can anyone tell me what the dimensions of the hose should be ? I think I might be buying the silicone hose seperate to the actual pipe...just coz I'm a picky B**t*rd. I guess we are looking at around 45mm/50mm for the round hole bit and the length of 70mm ? Can anyone confirm them ? Cheers
