  1. Finances dictated the I had to get an Auto Supra, I was a bit unsure of how I'd feel about driving about in one but today after a week of gunning about in the Supra I was back in my daily driver and actually missed the Auto. I really like the Supra autobox it's very smooth and comfortable to drive. Took a bit of getting used how far you can go without it kicking down when you don't want it to (i.e roundabouts) but once you've mastered that it's happy days.
  2. Yet another reason for getting rid of it
  3. Would you say that they were better than the stock Supra ones Michael?
  4. Envy, whifbitz or Chris Wilson should be able to sort you out for a 1st decat.

Not suggesting he skimps on discs, was just asking what ones he was looking at as the ebay listed ones can range greatly in price and quality. e.g. From this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3G-Front-Brake-Discs-Toyota-MKIV-Supra-Uprated-Import_W0QQitemZ350032822797QQihZ022QQcategoryZ23013QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem To this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Aristo-Celsior-4-0-Supra-3-0-BRAKE-DISCS-REAR_W0QQitemZ270179454616QQihZ017QQcategoryZ100915QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem

There's a lot of different discs on ebay, which ones in particular are you looking at?

Try http://www.brakesint.co.uk good range and good value.
  8. No worries mate, hope it wasn't my post which caused it to get withdrawn. Didn't seem to be too much info about the AS system on this forum when I was fitting mine. I'm a big fan of the Active Spoiler, makes the stock frontend a bit better looking and you can wire it to manually deploy so you can raise it for speedbumps etc. It is hard to get hold of all the parts I had to shop around for a bit to get it all.
  9. Here's a pic of a full active spoiler system. http://www.j-plus.com.au/parts/active_spoiler_large.jpg To fit it the minimum you need is: The spoiler itself (white in this pic) The metal brackets (the triangular thing in this pic) the other hanger is attached to the motor. The metal bar which connects to the the two white hangers on the spoiler. The undertay is also required as it's quite solid plastic which keeps the spoiler screws onto and keeps it ridgid when deployed. Hope this helps
  10. Alrighty time for another update. Managed to get a stock airbox (Thanks Sedge) fitted it tonight. They're a bloody tight fit aren't they! Another one of those two minute jobs that turns out a lot longer. It's now boosting slightly higher than it was before but still a good bit away from BPU levels. Guess the next step is to remove the RR and see what affect that has. Good to get the stock airbox on though, feel a lot happier now i'm rid of that pile of sh!t that was on there before. Temps seem slightly lower and boost is slightly higher so that's definitely a good thing
  11. The problem is that the it counts up in miles but the km light is lit. It used to be that miles was lit when I first got the car however after 6 months of stripping it to bits (it was accident damaged), connecting and disconnecting the battery, fitting an alarm etc etc it seems to have defaulted back to KM somehow!?!? I hadn't even noticed until 3 weeks ago.
  12. Afternoon all! My odometer is reading in miles (as it should) but on the display km is lit instead of miles. How can you change it so it shows miles? Cheers Johnny
  13. Bad form! You're supposed to go for a shecht at work!! Double the pleasure, not only do you get the the satisfaction of curling one off but you also get paid for it! It's the proverbial win win situation (except for the poor bugger that comes in to the bog post splashdown)
  14. Hi Andy, I'm not running a boost controller at the moment. I've got hold of a stock airbox so will be fitting that as the induction kit thats on it looks cheap and crap will also try removing the RR will see if it makes a difference, not holding my breath though.
  15. O2 broadband, they have bought over Be. It's "unlimited", cheap and fast, if you've got an O2 phone it's even cheaper. http://broadband.o2.co.uk/
  16. It's an interesting question mate, I'll be very interested in the answer. Could be a good way of doing db limited track days without loosing too much power.
  17. Got a new and unused UK spec double decat pipe for sale for £55.
  18. Ok I'll try it without the RR in. I know as was mentioned previously that RR's aren't an exact science. But it's a 1.2 bar Envy RR that's in place so thought I'd at least see it hitting 0.9 of full boost.
  19. Not sure that removing the RR would make any difference. As I've gone from having both cats in to decated and new exhaust with pretty much no difference in boost levels. Would having a really crap air intake stop you from getting bpu levels of boost? I've got some cheap looking thing that came with the car. Not sure of the make it is, the logo is an "X" have posted up some pics so hopefully someone will be able to name it. Thanks again for the responses Johnny
  20. Definitely not fuel cut, as it pull consistently to the readline when you floor it. It's got a greddy FCD fitted.
  21. Thanks bud, just fitted it the other day but still not hitting higher boost levels, see the following thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=139860 As a side, I'm very impressed with the exhust. A lovely bit of kit and for £250 an absolute bargain looks really well made and the quality of the welds is top notch. The sound isn't too loud and donesn't drone at motorway speeds. Very happy with it. Also came with a double decat pipe!
