  1. I would think so. But at Rotorstock we all parked on the camp site and then moved on the sunday. Is anyone planning on running on the sat?
  2. Yes the 650 has an immobilliser that will give exatly these symptoms when its armed. When it occurs if you arm the alarm and then disarm it and then try straight away does it then fire? The immobilliser activates if the key is not put in the ignition in about 20-30 seconds. edit - Doh beaten too it!
  3. I have this same problem on mine, I must have the only "original" kenwood rear window. It is annoying and im not sure there is anything to get the staining out of the window - I have tried everything.
  4. Sounds good to me, ill go with the defi with the knowledge that the boost is somewhere round 1.1 bar. Cheers guys
  5. Just looking for some others input into this one. I have an inconsistency in by Defi Boost gauge and my Greddy boost controller. Been tuning the boost controller this evening and was recording the boost on the Defi whilst watching the boost controller. Got a setup that almost holds a steady 1.2 bar. Then was playing back the Defi run and whilst the peak on the Greddy was 1.19 bar the defi was showing 1.3 bar. Which should I be trusting? They are both plumbed into the same source off the fuel presure regulator.
  6. Star man Im part way through compiling something very similar myself and have just seen this, just saved me a load of time - mine is a JSpec TT Auto so ideal. Thank you.
  7. Ah ok cheers will do that then. Was under the impression the dat was a basis to customise for each car. Cheers.
  8. So besides these issues how did you get on with the fitting, did you find the wiring caused any issues? Could I be cheeky and ask if you could send me the dat file for when I do mine?

    why ???

And I thought my shock for the evening was being overtaken by a metro at full chat on the way home. Thats awful.
  10. Shed? I hope pancakes is the suggestion!
  11. Adam, did PM you about the convoy down?? One thing to bear in mind is people needing to get out if they are running on the Sunday, Im not sure how busy it will be on Saturday and also not sure if they will allow you to park on the camping field like at rotorstock?

    bargin ? (TT)

Just a thought, A HPI check covers the car for its life in the UK does it not? Only companies like BIMTA will garentee the car and milage for its life in Japan??
  13. Me and Mrs M5W TT will see you all at 9:15 at chester services! see ya tomorrow.
  14. Ah, those instructions are the ticket, they have more diagrams, the instructions that come with the boost controller are crap! All makes sence now. Cheers Guys can get on with this tonight now!
  15. Ok getting annoyed with this one and I better check before I get it wrong. There are lots for threads for this one as I have searched and searched, Most point to the following instructions http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/blitz_dsbc/index.html. Please can someone explain this one to me as the pics on this site are crap. From what I can make out I need to do the following 1. Disconnect the bottom actuator pipe and remove, then cap of the output from the actuator? Dont understand this? 2. Disconnect and remove the pipe from fig 7 then cap off the metal pipe that it connected to, labeled 1 in the diagram. Where does this metal pipe go to? 3. Disconnect the pipe that goes from the top of the actuator to the output from turbo 1 and remove. 4. Connect to top of the actuator to the NO port on the Greddy valve. 5. Connect the turbo 1 output to the COM port on the Greddy Valve. 6. Leave the third output on the Greddy Valve empty but remove the plastic shield? How the hell do you get to the top of the actuator and output from the first turbo without getting really annoyed or breaking your wrist?
  16. Sunday 7th October @ Santa Pod 1. scrane+ diane, cally,luke 2. M5W TT + bro 3. 4.
  17. No not got a DAT file yet, not really looked into it yet! I know tell me about it, I have an old Tosh at work for switches but its a pain in the arse carrying two laptops about when on customers sites! Even better Ive just powered up the RLTC I have bought gone to plug in the USB to serial connector and its screwed so I need to buy a new one myself.
  18. After weeks of putting up with a car that did not handle and a weekend in the wet under the back of the car changing bushes Ive just had a full geo setup done at TDI North and what a difference. Well impressed now have the confidence to push the pace, the grip out of corners and round abouts wow!! Thanks TDI
  19. Just out of intrest what sort of price is it second hand, Have you seen the ones on ebay, The seller is registered as UK and granted the goods come from HK but they are cheap and mine was here in a week. fitted today, just needs plumbing in now!
  20. Yep the first one will do the job mate. its just a Serial to USB adapter you need, but you will need the drivers (they come with the maplins one). Dont know why laptops dont have them any more, they are needed for this sort of thing and IT engineers need them for switches, how much space can a small port take up! How did you get on with the fitting as im about to start mine shortly?
  21. Usually just play it by ear Matt, meeting up about 9AM then on to ponderosa, bit of a drive around and onto the pancake place!!
  22. prob going to miss it, will be travelling back from the Pod.
  23. some kind of drama there then?? Missed this, not that I could have gone with parts of the rear suspension all over the drive!
