  1. Just had it done, new cambelt and waterpump..........now just got the girlfriend to pay for! Christmas present that is, im not buying her!
  2. Auto supra is very different from and Auto corsa or auto 3 series BMW or whatever your trying to compare it too. On the supra its amazing. If I ever get another supra it will be an auto, no lies, they are awesome. The manual is good too, but I love the auto because its so smooth you just keep acellerating and accellerating. It is a love or hate it thing though. But it is by no means wet.
  3. I would put first dibs on your brakes but, they obviously didnt do the job! naa but seriously can I have them? Glad your ok btw, Its good to know the Supra will survive a good crash and not split into two like some cars.
  4. mate get on autotrader, log on and you can search for cars withing a radius of your postcode. Very usefull and there will be plenty of cheap cars on there.
  5. I want to do as much as I can at home, so that when I can go to my garage I can just tell him to check the car over and change the stuff that I cant do.... thinking about it, in the end I should have just got a garage to do the lot as the jobs i could do only took them 10 minutes and the harder ones I couldnt do I paid them to do
  6. Its not that hard, but I would say its harder than on your average micra. With the Spark plugs make sure you buy two crank case hoses as these will need to be removed before you can take the coil packs out to get at the spark plugs. Your crank coases hoses will 90% of the time break on removal especially if they havent been changed for a while. Fluids are fairly standard. Oil change is a doddle, and even the oil filter is very accessible from the top (remove the battery first) or underneith ( get right back under the passenger side and reach forward through to the engine to get it). Its all a case of time. If you have not done jobs like these before, you will take ages making sure you do everything properly. If you have then youll be fine. With most things there are write up on here as "how too's" so you know what your doing
  7. ps I dont work for logitech
  8. In my opinion Logitech are simply the very best periferal company for the pc you can get. I have logitech everything, from keyboard to mouse to speakers, which are incidentally 505watts RMS with a 10 inch sub. Thats extremely loud for you average room and their quality has been compared to much more expensive speaker systems. I assume their stearing wheels will be no different. I total expect it to be miles above the the rest and I would go for the logitech regardless of price over rivals. You cant go wrong with logitech, the build quality is second to none, you wont be dissapointed!
  9. Yes there is indeed low water levels in the water table at the moment. It wont refill over night you know. The reason why the south east has it worst is because the water companies down there seem to have the worst anount of leakage (water escaping back into the ground from pipes etc continuously). In the summer I worked at anglian water in their telemetry department so got to monitor flows etc. There is actually quite a lot to it, but basically as long as we dont have another dry winter like last year, we will be fine. But if we do have a dry winter again with lower than average rainfall, then expect more hosepipe bans etc in the short term.
  10. lol nice pic of sam btw, god he is an ugly dog
  11. The Nurberg ring is not classed as a road i believe, as I know for a fact you dont have to have insurance for it. You would need special track day insurance for it if you want to insure it, but its not compulsory just advised. Tax wouldnt be a problem either, and its not like they are gunna check even if it was. All I was saying, it could just be easier to make the thing road legal and drive there. I dont believe you wil be saving a vast amount of money if any and it seems like a lot of extra hasle. Plus if you ever did want to take it out for a half an hour sunday blast you couldnt. Your just limiting yourself. Plus track days arent exactly cheap. Usually about £100 and then your gunna go through at least a tank of fuel. So if you have the money to do that. Surely you can stump up a limited miliage policy of say 2000 miles for like £500 or something dependant on your age. Plus youll have insurance on it case it gets stolen. You say you want to spend 10k on the car, so money doesnt seem too much of an issue. I think youll just be making things more difficult for yourself. The only real problem I can see is if you make the car un- road worthy with the tuning you do to it. But I doubt this will be the case.
  12. someones gunna loose there job then arent they. Imagine braking a 35000 machine, i bet he was praying everything would just be fine.
  13. you should go space savers all round, that would look bling!!!!!!!
  14. A 300bhp N/A ??? with absolutely no turbo? I very much doubt it. But posts some pics of the engine and get the thing dyno'd properly. But i very much doubt it will be that high. The engine it characteristically un-tunable realistically without a turbo mod.
  15. Even N/A's are thirsty cars. In real world terms, they use just as much as each other. Its just that on a long journey out of the N/a and the TT the TT will use a bit more. But not that much more. You will find yourself driving from petrol station to petrol station. If you decide to get a TT you have to run it on Optimax or Ultimate especially if its a jap import. So thats something else to consider. I wouldnt be bothered too much in the N/A though
  16. Spray It!! I dont really like the carbon fibre look anymore because it has been done to death by the saxo corsa crew. Spray it, in the flesh it will still look slightly different anyway.
  17. the thing is, youll need a car and a trailer to get there. These arent exaclt cheap and you could use the money to get the car insured on a limited milage policy which you will want anyway in case the damn thing gets nicked! Just my 2p
