  1. I got a quote from Sky, when I mentioned after market induction / ss Exhaust and non std wheels they didnt care, as they almost expect that the imports are going to have after market parts by 10 years old or so. They would be more interested with big power increases I would think. I didnt go with Sky as I got a lot better deal elsewhere
  2. The plates WILL show up on there camera if they follow you , its only supposed to help when you get flashed by a gatso flash where no cops are directly involved. I know the cops are aware of such products but with the spray its not so obvious its been tampered with, not like a james bond number plate style flippers.Anyway Im not endorsing any of these products but the spray does appears to work in the link
  3. these posts always get side tracked, but plates size / speed cameras and cops are pretty much related. As a member mentioned he got dun on a camera with his small plate which defies the cops argument that they are too small to get recognised
  4. Nice idea, but only usefull if you are deliberatly going out of your way to flash the camera. Most want something to help if you accidently go past a camera just over the speed limit , like most who get caught are doung, 37 in a 30 etc [ANGRY][/ANGRY] What you want is something like photoblocker, click on the link http://www.photoblockeruk.com/ this is supposed to put a HIGH shine on your plate that reflects the light back to the camera so it cannot pick up your number, this is illegal to use but pretty much undetectable, not that Id use it , but you can get it off Ebay ;)
  5. I quite fancied the silver on black but its illegal on toooo many counts. A mate of mine brought a Evo from Liverpool docks auctions, straight off the boat. Drove it home to Stoke-on-Trent with NO plates on at all. we were on the motorway (M6) I was following him when a cop car passed me and dropped in behind the Evo, my mate decided to get off at the next junction , the cop followed and I joined them expecting now for a pull. Got to the roundabout and the cop just sailed past and went on his merry way. Doesnt make sence, my mate could have gone through any speed camera he wanted had a few accidents and there would be know way of tracing the car[GRIN][/GRIN] :p I think it all depends on the copper and what sort of a day hes having. :innocent: Anyway Im leaving my small plate on but will put a legal one in the boot , just in case.
  6. yeh number plates, Ive looked at your gallery so youve put a full size one on now then eh nice car M8:)
  7. just checked that site out but again , no sign of centre wheel caps being sold separatley
  8. Yes the caps also say maraway , are they supposed to be a good make, ive never heard of them
  9. 115 mph and no ban, yes m8 you were lucky
  10. who knows , whos the expert, everybody has different views opinions, it would be nice to meet a true guru, someone whos built an engine up from scratch and knows all the ins and outs. I have been to local "specialists" and have come away feeling , lets say, less than confident in there knowledge of pretty basic components (std) under the bonnet.
  11. when an addition BOV is added can the original be left in place ?????? :search: :search:
  12. SOOOOOOO in conclusion, RE the first photo I posted at the beginning of this thread,,,,,, Is that okay to T in a BOV or a pressure guage?? AND if an extra BOV is put in place can the original be left in place ?????? This is the turbo pressure sensor pipe
  13. My sister lives at Blythe Bridge which is about a mile or 2 from Meir, watch out for the spped cameras between Meir and Cheddleton, shockers. My missus got done along their recently:eyebrows:
  14. Nice car m8, must get some of those facelift headlights. How is you front plate attached, doesnt look like a number plate holder or anything,
  15. yeah, that sound about right too from what Ive read, know where I can get a number plate holder from, I want the square type which can be slightly modified to take a normal long plate. Anyway, what are you guys doin up at this time in the morning???? Are you working nights like me, did I say working ;) :)
  16. I think the plate your plate is even smaller than mine , just.
  17. the grey car has quite small ones, again m8, both cars are really nice
  18. Seen loads of 50mm caps, but not larger, measured mine and they are about 65mm or 2 1/2 inches, Ill keep looking
  19. Your right Jake , Ive been looking too and stick ons are illegal, bullshit but true:eyebrows:
  20. Just been looking on the net and found this below that I have cut and pasted.Looks like you wouldnt get any point either way.# Apparently the stick on ones are illegal too due to the angle or something. http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/plates.htm Number Plate Law The law states that, You must not alter, rearrange or misrepresent the letters or numbers Characters must not be moved from one group to the other (e.g. A242 ABC must not be displayed as A242A BC). Offences may result in any or all of the following: A fine of up to £1,000 The registration mark may be WITHDRAWN The vehicle may FAIL the MOT test
  21. Just checked your car out , nice car m8, think yours is slightly larger than mine (the plate) are yours std motorbike letters ??
  22. its not a cherished number, and the numbers/letters are not changed to look like something else. However it is way below normal size, dont car about the £30 fine , but dont want points , especially soft points for a plate. Have or anyone else actually heard of anyone getting points for a plate irregularity ???
