  1. Really spooky as the same thing happened to a lads brother that my brother works with a month or 2 ago. He was driving a Passat involved with a drunk driver, at a similar speed and at no fault-Unfortunatley he was not so lucky. I couldnt imagine losing my brother. Glad your brother is ok mate as that looked serious.
  2. Cant you buy tint stuff in a spray can too? Think my bro done his indicators with some.
  3. Lovely car mate. Hope it bring you miles of enjoyment!
  4. Thanks Nic thats what I needed to know. Just wanted to know whether I NEEDED the looms as I cant be bothered to go to Toyota this morning.
  5. Yes mate, thats what I read but I want to know are the looms defiantely needed? It cant be a straight swap if I'm not interested in wiring the sidelights up...?
  6. I'm going to attempt to fit mine today from the the guy off eBay in the US and was reading the "How To". This may sound like a stupid question but what is the loom from Toyota needed for? Is it something to do with the sidelights? Cheers
  7. EDITED-Whoops I'm new.... Also I was in an auto...
  8. My first proper go at another fast Jap car. I was held up in traffic and doing around 80 leptons. Car in front pulled out the way so I floored it and the guy was on my bumper up to around 110-20ish then I gradually started to leave him at 120-30 leptons and he couldnt keep up and I let off still pulling at 140 leptons. I thought I might have done him from the off. The car sounded modded with a canny exhaust, dump valve and who knows about any other goodies. Anyway mine is due a full service and going over as theres little service history-Has shitty tyres with minimum thread (to be changed to Toyo tomorrow) and its a stock TT apart from an exhaust and no cat. So, does it sound right? Anyway still left a f***** massive grin on my face when I left him
  9. Thats very, very nice mate. Best I've seen so far. Looks similar to the one on eBay at the mo that they say is similar to a Top Secret one. Available for £359 + £119 fitting/spraying at Vine Place... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7986563861&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
  10. Yup agreed with the above. You almost always get what you pay for in life. For that price I wouldnt expect much TBH.
  11. The Fast and The Furious. Just kidding. My Dad and my Brother.
  12. F*** me they are cheap, cheers mate, much apprecaited!
  13. Hahaha, never seen a hand/head stand kick executed. What a lethal move, imagine trying that on a Sat night after a few pints!
  14. Just been on the phone to Tyre Spot who are usually quite competitive for tyre prices and they quoted me: 235/40/18 Toyo's @ £141ish 265/35/18 Toyo's @ £183ish Fitted, balanced etc.....
  15. Well I've heard back and I'm looking at somewhere in the region of £500-600 for the works to make sure everything is tip top. Booked in for next Wednesday.
  16. I've PM'd Gaz but yet to here back so as its eating away at me could anyone let me know the approx cost of a good service from these guys? The car I bought has little service history and has been sat idle mainly since last Nov so I want a full service (or whatever is required/recommended) to get her running super smoothly and to give me full piece of mind.
  17. I'm sure he'll be sharing pics after tomorrow when he gets them.....?! Hope they come out good mate, although from what I've read there's no hoping needed!
  18. It had to be black-My last car was silver shows the cars lines of better and great to keep clean but I just love the Supra in black-MEAN! It also just had to be a TT as my last car was the "lesser" (no offence NA owners) model in its class and for 2 years I craved the 2.5 V6.
  19. Thanks for the welcome guys. My arm is feeling all that shining today!
  20. Thanks for the link Rich. Yeah I'm planning on taking the car up there mate as like you say it aint far from me. I want a big service done on it and I'll ask them to check the problem out. I was planning on PM'in Gaz (I think it is) to ask about the service costs and whats best to be done as its been fairly idle since last Nov. Thanks again guys
  21. On my drive home yesterday from picking the car up I gave the car a good booting with my foot to the floor and when I hit 80mph at around 5-6k the car jumped and felt lumpy? Once I got throught the rough patch the car seemed to pull ok at 100mph ish. This is my first turbo car and I dont have much knowledge on them so was wondering what the problem was... Any help would be much appreciated EDIT: Just realised this should probably be in technical-Sorry I'm new!
  22. Hi to all Supra owners here! I've been a reader of this forum for bloody ages now but never posted. I didnt want to be one of them who guys who said "I'm buying a Supra soon". I wanted to wait until the day came. That day came yesterday:) Its been a dream of mine for some time to own a Supra and now with my insurance more than affordable and the price right I got one at long last. Its been a long 2 weeks since I agreed to pick my Supra up to the day when I finally did the deed. This past week has been a nightmare-I havent been able to sleep at night with excitement. The only comparison would be to say its like being 8 years old and waiting for Christmas-Pure Torture! I really thought that feeling wouldnt come back to me!! Anyway I set off at 4.00am Saturday morning got a flight from Newcastle to Stansted and met Andy (suprachippy on here). Drove to his and picked the beast up. This is my first Jap car and my first turbo car so to say I had fun on the way home is a massive understatment I seen another driver in a silver soop on the M1 who gave me the thumbs up C10 JSH, a member? Cheers mate! I got home for 4.00pm yesterday with every intention of cleaning her but the driving experience was just too much and I had to show all friends and family-I also managed to scare the shit out of everyone with the amazing performance So here I am "driving the dream!" sorry if the user name is really cheesy but it was all I could think of TBH. Attached are some pics after a good clean and go over with T-Cut. I'll be waxing her 2mo if the weather is ok. I have a set of 18"s to go on, some clear front and side repeaters and the windows to get tinted so she'll look nice and fresh very soon. Lastly, sorry if the post is really long I'm just really excited to finally be here! Bobby Oh and its a TT!
