Silver soop that pulled level with me last night on the great leighs bypass near Notley Village Tesco, I turned left to go to Tesco in my black TT, you headed straight over towards whitecourt/town. Anyone on here?

Possibly the exhaust mate but I always felt my 2nd come on no matter what speed I was moving at providing I was at the right rpm. I've just changed the stock exhaust to a 3" RSR with Whifbitz decats and the tubs are even more noticeable now... I kinda know what you mean though, sometimes depending on where the rev needle is sitting when you floor it you start accelerating from the flat spot between turbos, rather than it kicking down to the sweet spot in the next gear down. I found the best way of getting the 'pull' was to learn what revs you end up at when kicking down and making sure that you hit it. I use the manual mode a lot aswell so I can pre-plan where I want the rpm.

I live not a million miles from stansted so would love to join anyone heading M11 way. Only trouble is the time factor, its gonna be a mission getting over that kinda direction for 6.00 - 6.30 as I work in Witham. I'll do my best! Hi Andy, The car is still for sale, I haven't actually got around to advertising it properly yet as I've had too much on over christmas. Its pretty good on the mpg really, i'd say that the figures you have found are pretty accurate. I see you have a Punto, a really good friend of mine has a really nice HGT and is a mod on http://www.puntomk2.co.uk , he knows the puma really well as i've had it for almost five years. Buy it, fit it, smile One of the first things I did when I bought my auto, I bought the HKS SSQV from Nic (importpimp) spent half hour fitting it and haven't stopped grinning since. Fitting is a piece of cake and theres plenty of guides/advice/pictures on here to make it even easier. its a great piece of kit and a bargain from Nic. For that extra bit of 'yes, its a turbo' coolness you should sort yourself out with a boost guage too... looks the nuts and helps you see your progress if you decide to carry on modding. Bought mine on fleabay, only about 30quid!

Accitone (spelling?) My dad used to make fibreglass boats, im sure he used that stuff. I think he just let them soak in it, don't think you will get gel coat or resin out completely though. Also my GF uses it to clean out her nail brushes and stuff. NB - I might be wrong

I own both and love the puma to bits, i'd say one of the best mainstream coupe/hatchbacks for years. The soops in a different league of course! Just a quickie to say thanks to Homer for sorting me out with the RSR exhaust today, i've fitted it and have been hooning around in it this afternoon. It looks the dogs danglies and sounds awesome! I also hit fuel cut for the first time... It was so beautiful! (it means im getting somewhere) FCD, iridium plugs and a walbro going in asap. Was great meeting you, cheers for the lovely cuppa too, Hope to see you again sometime.

Thanks man! It looks great, you even got a hovis shot in there... with chips though... oddly It looks really great and we're both getting really excited about it all. Judging by all of the posts mentioning diving it looks like we'll definitely be trying it. Always wanted to but never have, is it expensive to try?
