  1. Hi mate, Currently someone interested, but they've not replied. £25 delivered is the asking price. If I've not heard back from the other guy by tomorrow afternoon, it's yours. Paypal payments preferred as it's quicker.
  2. TTRickeh - done deal mate - £20 and it's yours. I'll PM you my paypal address. Cover may be sold - will update.
  3. 1 was hospitalised, the rest not far from it by all accounts. I know that at least 3 of them were bed ridden for a week, and looked REALLY bad when I saw them. The others, admittedly, i can only go by what I was told through family/friends. I suppose my point was the 4 or 5 close family members that I have that were not "jabbed" were all fine... with a 1-3 day cold or whatever.
  4. yeh ok, so maybe i missed that. Still - don't see the point in flu jabs full stop. especially jabs that are essentially pointless lol
  5. i'm sorry but i really don't believe in these flu jabs. EVERYONE i know who has had one (10+ people) have all been caught by it this xmas - all badly. personally - i make sure I keep fit, eat right, make sure proper balance of vitamins etc, and hope for the best. They do say if you keep fit, and your BMI at the right level, your far less prone to getting ill. I always looked at these jabs as a "small dose" of the illness, so your body can build up it's defenses. However, if your body isn't strong enough to start with, I think you can probably get the flu itself from the jab! If you get me. Just my 2 pence worth.
  6. wow - thanks mate - that's brilliant! TBH Pilgrim was what I was looking at if any, I know it's cheaper end of the market which is the main appeal, but they seem like good kits too. I think my main requirement would be to buy the kit in phases - spreading the cost. I'm going to discuss this more with my dad who will probably be helping me do it anyway. (If I were to go ahead with it) I'm going to try and find a copy of "A car is born" I think.. re-watch that first to remind myself of what I might be letting myself in for. lol
  7. thanks Pete. I've already seen that - but it would def. be worth getting it to watch again. I thought Pilgrim were struggling recently - I think the owner sold up but the original owner of the company has bought it back (I think???)
  8. OK folks: Seeing as I've been really sh*t at sorting this out, I've FINALLY taken some pictures of the bits: Engine Cover: Fuel Filter + box it came in: Part # on filter itself: Blanking plug for controls under stereo: I'm also pretty sure that I have a polished ignition key barrel, as well as the traction control switch, or one of the switches that the blanking plug would fill anyway. OFFERS on all of it - it needs to go. Cheers!
  9. lol.... no hangover here... I never really seem to suffer from them! Although people tell me it's cos I don't drink enough. lol
  10. do I hear someone shouting "it's fixed - it's fixed!" ??? lol
  11. ok, I know I'm dragging up an old thread here, but I thought it might be worthwhile as most of the knowledgeable people have already posted, so easy to get their attention I'm seriously toying with the idea of a kit car at some point, possibly soon, and building it as a 2nd car while I keep my pug as my daily driver. My dad has built 2 Robin Hoods (yeh, we know how poo they are) and a Dutton, so I've got help/experience there if needed. However, I REALLY love the AC Cobra replicas - I know they are more expensive - but does anyone have any experience of these? Are they harder to build etc? Again, I'm an IT bloke with little mechanical/vehicle experience (although a baseline knowledge I suppose) and I think I could probably get my hands on any tools that I require. So I'm sort-of in 2 minds - either but a cheap as chips Lotus7 replica just for experience and a bit of fun, or go all out and buy, in stages, a decent cobra kit. Any thoughts/comments/suggestions? Cheers folks
  12. I'm at home alone this year too - plenty of drinking (been going since about 3pm lol) and eating of snacks..... rubbish tv so might slap on a dvd or 3 and fall asleep in a drunken mess on my living room floor, something a bit similar to my avatar (although I'm not a cat) Good times! Have a good one folks - TAKE CARE and all the best for 2009!
  13. well, nothing much exciting here. But bad/funny: a "back on the market" sign to stick in my car, as I am single again (and not the turbo type) and my brother expects me to actually put this in my 306. lol
  14. I'm gonna be a flake and drop out of this I am afraid. Yet more serious sh*t going on in my life which I desperately need to get sorted. Have a wicked one folks, I want to see lots of pics, and have a good xmas!!!
  15. sorry taken so long to reply - missed your post! All bits need to go, so highest bidder wins. Don't think I'm going to be able to post anything until after xmas now - madness in town and I've got some car issues of my own, and my court hearing on monday
  16. might pop along, but i have no idea if i can yet. Besides, me in my crappy little pug won't be able to keep up with you lot. will let you know closer to the time i think.
  17. sh*t mate, sorry to read all this. I DEFINATELY think there is something in the water here in Basingstoke, or us Basingstoke meet-lot are jinxed.... that's 3 of us now who have split up from long-term relationships in the last 4 months! It does get easier though - I'm speaking from experience now! hehe
  18. up to you mate, what do you think it's worth? At least you're local, no p&p required Don't work in the same place anymore tho, I'm over in Chineham Business Park now.
  19. RATM - fantastic band, tom morrello is a fantastic guitarist. Best album too.
