It brings back memories of being run over with an ice skate when younger.... I had the misfortune to go to Apres (very bad excuse for a nightclub) on my sister's birthday last year. had to assist the bouncer in carrying out my sister in law then keep an eyeon her as she passed out on the road....nice. Interesting to note though that a guy with that much money could afford any car in the world and has a supra. Obviously a very good choice[COOL][/COOL]....and obviously not included in the line up of sooped up escorts and nova's at the end of Ali G's film..

My mate was on one of his driving sprees a while back (good couple of years) and giving it the boot flat out down the motorway, thinking he was king of the road, and a Supra went flying past him which he claims belongs to John Nike of John Nike's Bracknell Ice Ring/Nike hotel. (there was a Toyota garage opposite the ice/ski centre). I can't remember what reg he said it had, but you'd know if you saw it. Anyone know if he does own one, anyone seen him in it? Think he might blow away the 'how much do you earn' thread If you're wondering why I've only just mentioned it, it's only because I recently got the Supra that it reminded him.

no, there's nothing that feels out of the ordinary, apart from the really loud noise and vibrations into the cab, the steering doesn't feel heavy or as if it's struggling, and it doesn't try to turn the wheels in the other direction. If I'm quick when it starts to happen and turn to the right it seems to die off quicker than just stopping. Like I say it doesn't happen all the time either which is a bit wierd?

it's like something has got stuck whilst the rest of the car is moving still, it seems to vibrate very harshly into the cab. had a quick read of the similar threads and may check out the tightness of the bolts underneath and around the suspension arms.

when pulling into my parking space and putting full left lock on, there's a really nasty sound, kind of grating/grinding noise that goes through the whole car[sHOCK][/sHOCK] - not a nice sound, especially as the missus goes off on one when it happens..... It doesn't happen every time, just occasionally, and only seems to happen when going very slow. checked the wheels (19") and they don't seem to be rubbing, anyone got any ideas? spoke to Green peace who mentioned he had this problem and JEM had it up on the ramps several times and couldn't find anything wrong.... had a similar problem on the celica (although not as loud)which turned out to be not enough power steering fluid, so checked the level and it seemed fine.

As I've upgraded to the Supra:d , the old motor is now for sale:( (missus says I can't keep both, which is a shame as it was handy for carrying larger items that the rears seats of the supra couldn't take. (even had washing machines in there!!!) Gen 5 Gti-16, 125k miles. rare UK auto. Grey. 1991 (H-reg). FSH,3 owners, one of them my father in law. He had heater matrix replaced about 3 years ago, i've had it for just under 3 years now. Recently put in new radiator, had brake compensator replaced (£300) all reciepts. FSH, 6 months MOT, no tax as off the road now due to new motor. Neally new front tyres, brakes about 6 months old. aircon was regassed at time of heater matrix and works perfectly. Original alloys and toyota tools. all manuals and books. clear fornt indicator lenses (still have originals as well) bad bits: central locking servo gone on drivers side, using inside door lock on drivers side will lock passenger door, just not via key entry. If you open the car from the passenger side key it opens the drivers side strangely enough... sun roof motor has just gone, it works to open electronically but you have to close manually. Toyota said they'd have a look at it and should be about £50 to sort, but as selling haven't bothered (used aircon all the time anyway so didn't bother me to not use it). photos to follow next week as she's taken the camera on holiday £900 ONO. anyone use Kodak easyshare? am trying to get some photos into my garage but the only way I can seem to get to the photos is drag them from Kodak easyshare onto my desk top then try to upload them, but they're then 1.5MB each so won't load, anyone else have a kodak camera and know how to do this, there's nothing in my manual about it apart from emailing the pictures....?

I need to get a restrictor ring as the supra's fully detcatted and can overboost easily if i get a heavy foot....(boost controller beeps in an unpleasant way) where can i get one from?

any ideas on how to change brake fluid? current fluid is pretty much black so whole lot needs draining and replacing

don't know what it's worth, but I'm liking the W7 SUP that's on my little beauty, shouldn't exactly be on it, as car was registered on the date it was imported, not as a 1996....still, can't complain hey:p think a private plate tops the car off nicely, go for it and get yourself one!!

changing brake fluid, oil and filter, and need to do the antifreeze. Anyone got any details on how to go about this, my old man's got a service pit in his garage and is handy with mechanics so am going to enlist his help (save me a few bob). cheers razza
